That was superb for the newer collector Jon. Kept it simple, but very effective. Obviously talking USA prices as opposed to UK especially in the higher price range. Keep them coming my friend!!
Thanks Alastair! Yeah, had to throw that disclaimer in the description lol. You know my fellow UK collectors have my utmost respect and I'm always here for y'all!
I got a 1996 purple 6 string guitar Camel Cigarette zippo and a 2015 bald eagle zippo at a antique store for $20. Both of them were a little worn but it was still a pretty good deal. I love buying these things second hand. You can find designs they don’t make anymore.
Cool video review. I have one of the cheaper brushed steel ones in a blister pack and it's pretty much all I'll ever need for daily use. I'm not a collector though.
Neat vid Jon, I don’t buy high price advertisers, just got 3-4 in the 30-40 range, that’s about my limit except if I really like it. Yes I have bought a few round the 100 mark, Armor mostly.
I just got two zippo’s straight from the official zippo store and it was 66 bucks… I hope I like them I got a new release classic type matte green grass zippo and a slim type matte pink zippo…
I like the saying, "value is what you are willing to pay". But that's not necessarily the worth of the item. . It just depends on what you are looking for.
Tumbled brass armor or ugly engraved rose gold armor if you don’t wanna see wear. Once you own a $20 zippo for a year with minimal too 0 lost & found incidents your ready for a sterling silver zippo which is the ultimate piece in your hands.. the metal itself has its own ring too it.
Question, I have seen a display case of new zippo lighters in a shop. They have a couple with a price tag of 70(Canadian dollars) would they be more rare? They’re in the same cases as the 30-50$ ones. If I can get a rare one I’ll do it but if it’s 70 bucks for a logo (skull logo engraving) that’s not rare, I’m not going to do it. Enjoy your videos man!
Expensive and they are easy to fake. They look cool don’t get me wrong, but I think it’s challenging to determine authenticity and origin. I usually don’t bother with them.
Although Zippos are nice Lighters their is no way I would spend more than £30.00 on a single lighter and for that sort of money you can get some nice ones in the UK for about £12.00 to £16.00 some limited edition models from £16.00 to £25.00 basic model like chrome and brass colour models from £21.00 to £35.00 and if you wanted to show your patriotism Ones with national flags £30.00 to £50.00 for some of the designs
Why are they so cheap in america dahm im in uk so there hard to find as it is no stores sell them except timpsons and then just for a standard one ur looking at about £40 one with a design ur looking more ar £70-£125 then it just keepgs getting more n more some are a few hundreds of pounds
