I know you're talking about thorin calling out what clip to use but also to give the editor some appreciation for the general flow of the show with the movie clips being used editing is done by Adanion so credit to them as well.
I think the film could be improved immensely if the guy running the livestream added a Werewolf Break after the bell scene so the viewers could pause and try to figure out if there was a ghost.
Thorin’s impressions of the people saying “I’m so scared” was so f*ing funny. 😂 Great episode as usual. This podcast is by far my favorite and has helped me get back into watching good movies.
Watched this after they mentioned the arc and was pleasantly surprised, pretty good found footage content I enjoyed it a lot. Reminded me of that MTV show FEAR I used to watch during Halloween weekends, very nostalgic.
I'm pretty easily scared probably cause I have a pretty vivid imagination but I enjoy the feeling for some reason. This movie wasn't great story wise as you said but I thought it was pretty scary. Gotta say the ending kinda went over my head.
PSA for those waiting: The Devil has actually solicited monte, thorin and richard for attempts on: The General Manager The Comissioner The virtue Signaller That is why there is a hold up in releasing the upcoming episode Hopefully the hunchback does not take too long after
Gonjiam is a beat for beat remake of Grave Encounters, which likewise is following in blair witch's footsteps, without Grave Encounters being 7 or so years older. Grave Encounters adds the live streaming element to update it a bit, and changes some of the scare scenes, but they're the same concept and structure.
What I found the most interesting about this movie is the central idea of naive modern people cynically playing around with something beyond their comprehension for materialistic reasons and then getting exposed to that otherworldly side of existence and paying the price. I think found footage is a fitting medium to tell that story, especially the way it's done here. I'm not really a found footage guy myself and I agree the actual scares and the "lore" of the movie are quite underwhelming but I think the concept is more interesting that it appears at first.
i used to be really scared of horror. had as a kid alot of nightmares basicly if i was alone at home i had to walk from light to light to go to bed. but since ive gotten into spiruality i dont get scared anymore. i know there are demons i know there are angels and multiple gods.
I just want to see when there are inevitable technical issues during the world finals broadcast, that somone in the audience has a sign that says: "Have Werewolf break - have a KitKat"
I guess for it's genre it's wasn't bad, basic premise and technical side are better than the film itself, actors are pretty solid, but abandoning any narrative or storytelling is killing it, touching a doll that was on a some photo just ain't enough, also it's not very scary, sorry, maybe it works better on (korean) teenagers, I dunno.
Credit to the editor, this might be the best opening to an episode of Four Play yet.
Edit: Credit to Thorin I guess!

I have really enjoyed watching new movies I would have never watched without this show.

This horror saga is quite good, I wish there's more.
that scene where the hands were reaching behind them to touch their face was sooo fucking good

Would love to see a month where you do two Westerns and two Samurai movies to discuss the similarities.
super fun episode, love you guys
Huge shout out to Rec. Great film not many people i know have seen. Skip the american one if you can!!
Richard is on point with the Kingdom praise. Incredible show. My favorite piece of zombie media

One Cut Of The Dead is also extremely heartfelt
Banger out of context intro xD

What a fucking comment.
One Cut of the Dead is a great shoutout, loved that movie and was glad I could go in blind for it
Loved this one as well, fantastic arc, boys
Richard bringing up One Cut of the Dead was hype, that movie is a very fun watch
Here for the spooks.
Butterfly Kisses is another good spin on found footage, its free to watch on UA-cam as well
Underrated film, sad what happened to the director.
Are you guys gonna reupload the episode from Cure? I watched it one late and missed the video because it seems like it was taken down 😢

What happened to the cure video?
I'm guessing they are getting copyright claims or something. So ridiculous, it is so clearly fair use.
@@PixelKatanafuckin copyright abusers
Both movies in this arc so far for copyright takedowns.

did the CURE video get taken dwon again?
It was session 9 that got taken down first, now cure has been as well. Worrying trend.
@@ziggle5000 Worst case scenario, they'll just have to remove the movie clips within the episode or reduce them. Shouldn't affect the show overall

i love these fkers
kpop star was bullied on livestream for going braless- can't wait for february for hopefully a romance arc. The greatest genre by $$$.

I actually dont like this one that much even though it is competently made
