To the point of who could replace John Travolta, i think Val Kilmer would have nailed being Agent Archer and him trying to imitate Nic Cage's antics would have been hilarious
Had a ton of fun watching this movie. Some parts are hilariously bad and hilariously good. Also happy I could finally retroactivelly get the reference from a By The Numbers episode where the premise was Tarik and Mixwell would switch faces while playing for OpTic
I'm enthralled by most of these episodes, but in particular I enjoy those moments where you are in disagreement and have to make your arguments for your views. :)
I gave Face/Off a 4/5 on my Letterboxd, thought it was hilarious, and peak insane Travolta/Cage. Fun, and will recommend to friends who havent yet seen it either.
1:07:31 this is hilarious, when I just watched this movie with I joked to my partner that Castor Troy not only made Sean Archer a hero, he fixed his relationship with his family
I was culturally aware of Face/Off but had never actually sat down and watched the whole movie and I have to say thank you. This movie is incredible and I will be watching it many more times.
I’ve watched a couple of the movies you discuss and have watched episodes without watching movies. I think the reason why it doesn’t matter is because we have no way to give our input and discussion. And the really entertaining thing is hearing you guys talk about your opinions, wether we’ve watched the movie or not.
The level of despare REAL Travolta must have felt when Travolta (actually Cage) walked in the prison to talk to Cage (actually Travolta) briefly after he saw the news the surgeon who performed his "face off"... my goodness. Also Hyde from That 70's show beeing a rappist in the car in the driveway was too ironic. Loved when Cage acting as Travolta beat Hydes ass.
Really enjoyed this show. I dont follow movie stuff and all my friends love nick cage so I was genuinely happy to hear people call him a bad actor, ive always thought this and thought maybe I just wasn't getting something! Keep up the good work lads.
Fun episode, even for those like me that haven't seen the movie. I also hate tom cruise and probably wont watch that either but excited for the next episode!

Classic clip...are you going to do an independence day review? There is a great Jim Norton and Patrice O'Neal clip on that too
"Y'know, I could watch this episode for hours"

Finally, finally I won't be miserable for an hour and a half.
You shouldn't watch the movie then
I couldn’t stomach more than 40 minutes of the film but it did give us another banger four play episode.

@@LastFreeNationCulturei find nick cage is best consumed in gif format/length
When are you doing 'The Rock' - another classic from my childhood...loved the soundtrack to that film too.

Love this series and the discourse from this movie, not the first disagreement but defiantly felt the most divisive can't wait for Mission impossible!
First lfn culture episode I’ve watched. Excellent work gentlemen
Just the face swapping scene alone really got under my skin...
Hell it's about time.

This ep doesn’t disappoint
This episode bangs, LFN Culture becoming a favorite. After your list is done lets do a classic like Pointbreak

The film was absolutely insane but as discussed on the show its amazing for what it is

The moment from 1:11:33 had me dying when I re-watched this last night.

Thanks God for forward option because some parts of this movie are insufferably bad😂
