"you guys have no idea what it's like listening to these guys for the first time" (11:12)... YES, YES WE DO... the joy for us is seeing the younger generation listening to the music we grew up with and appreciating it.
i was 10 in 1969 and I was still listening to my Choo Choo Charlie records when my Baby Sitter brought Led Zeppelin 2 with her. Whole Lotta love was the first song I heard and I've been hooked ever since.😎
Exactly. I expect we're the same age. It was an event to get to the record store asap and pick up the new album, get back, call friends, and just listen to both sides uninterrupted -- like the tracks. Noise complaint from neighbors -- and I lived in a house! LOL! In particular, and in spite of the incredible musical creativity of the times, Led Zeppelin was the pulse. And still is. GOAT.
What you’re hearing today is the reason I’m still listening to Zeppelin 53 years after I first heard them 🔥🎸🎤🎼 There are no bad Zeppelin songs 😉 I don’t go even one day without listening to them, EVER!!
The band said this was their favorite song overall, and it took three years working on it before they were satisfied with the results. Bono (RIP) said it was also the hardest to play, but he loved it. He played 4/4 time to their 3/4 time, in sync every 12 beats, which is one of the many reasons this has magic in it. I'm an old guy now, but your exploration and enthusiasm takes me back to my excited youth and the first time I heard this, and the rest. Good for you for being so receptive and enthused! Keep up the reactions. Subscribing all the way!
We love them too! The greatest band in history! I was a teen in the 70s...I grew up on them! Those violins were actually JPJ on a synth keyboard! Watch this live in 1979!
Remember at the Rock n Roll H.O.F., J.P.Jones said he had a phone, they should know the number, he didn't know why he hadn't been included in some newer stuff. Awesome. Put Jimmy and Robert on the spot. He was "the" professional musician of the bunch.
I did grow up listening to them -- Most radio stations wouldnt play them in our area -- and the critics HATED them - Rolling Stone Magazine gave them terrible reviews --- Like The Doors (whom you must check them out too) - they were too dangerous looking and mature to be included in Tiger Beat or Seventeen magazines -- It was almost word of mouth for us -- we would listen to a album at a friends house and run out and buy our own 8tracks - vinyl - or cassettes -- I would buy their newest releases before ever hearing any of their songs on them -- They never disappointed
It was an amazing phenomenon. A band that sold millions of albums and set box office records had almost no recognition as a household name. They did almost no television. Very little mainstream media coverage, and what there was sometimes had headlines like: "Believe it or not, they're bigger than The Beatles!" and the story would be about how they sold more tickets than the Shea Stadium concert or something. They were like the world's biggest cult band, except with massive statistics...
@@jonathanlocke6404 True -- And I am beyond shocked that they never had a no 1 single -- They were ignored by main stream media but so beloved by those who knew what fantastic artists they were
Yes different time. Zeppelin put out very few singles. Radio back in late 60s and early 70s was really AM stations and songs that they wanted were like 2 or 3 minutes long. Zeppelin refused to go with that short format. Then FM radio started these rock stations , and they let songs be longer. So us big harder rock fans listened to them. AM got more of your bubble gum music. Before long AM stations just stopped playing rock music. What alot of people don't realize is artists back then cared more about their music than the money. Money was secondary. Today is just the opposite. Now adays its always ABOUT THE MONEY. They get one hit and live off that 1 hit . Today its about the money not the music. I use the word music very loosely. Sorry now I'm just ranting.
Some of my best memories are sitting in the floor at a friends house with the newest Zeppelin album cover following the lyrics & listening to it over & over & over ♥️ You are listening to the best rock drummer to ever live, Mr. John Henry “Bonzo” Bonham ♥️🎼
Actually, we do know what it feels like to hear these incredible artists for the first time but it's great to see the younger generation enjoying them too.
Love watching your LZ reactions. Thanks for pulling the Led out again. Please checkout THE SONG REMAINS THE SAME / THE RAIN SONG (Madison Square Gardens, NY 1973) Pure rock / ballad musical perfection and they were LIVE.✌🏼❤️
Y’all gotta check out the live version from 2007. They had a one off reunion concert and they living members of the band were in their 50’s and 60’s and it was arguably their best performance of the song they ever did!
Yay! You guys are the best! Kashmir! Yes! I used to dance around with my Dad's Led Zeppelin albums and jam out when no one was home as a teen!! You guys are on an amazing journey that we are privileged to watch! Keep up the great work guys! We love you too! ❤
There are many groups, songs that you need to take a listen to but there is another infamous group, that is a must listen. Pink Floyd. Zep and Floyd are THE groups that you should hear at least once in your life.
WOW!! You Guys are fantastic... just found your YT channel and have now spent 3+ hours and drank a six-pack of beer watching both of you react to the music I grew up with. I was watching Stevie Ray Vaughan, saw your channel and then watched most of your Zepplin videos. Keep reacting, people LOVE this shit, and your channel will blossom GUARANTEED! Your Reaction Are Addicting!!!!!!!!!!!! Peace Bros
KASHMIR Live at Knebworth 1979 is a masterpiece!!! Kashmir is one of their quintessential pieces and is still as relevant today as it was when it came out in ‘75! Just the fact that their “Vintage” fans like myself and now a whole new generation like these awesome kids “getting it”……just shows how amazing these 4 are at their respected craft. Zeppelin Badass Goat!!
I've been listening to Jimmy Page since he was with the Yardbirds,1965 hit song "For Your Love", after Eric Clapton left the band. And Led Zepplin for 59 years!
I truly love to watch your journey into the led zeal in rabbit hole. I’m in my 40’s and. I remember getting to listen to the bands like Led Zeppelin , Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, , the Who, Marillion, Tears for Fears, The Beatles, Eric Clapton, Mike Oldfield and many many more…all…for the first time. My brother is 6 years old than me and it was him that got me into music. He would buy a album every weekend and we would both lay on our beds with our head phones and listen to the music for the first time. I remember the buzz deep with my stomach, how my heart raced, how my mind exploded with excitement at the music experiences. I started learning guitar at the age of 14, my brother was a classically trained pianist…. The world of music and its tapestry of beauty changed my life forever. It’s that powerful! I’m so happy to be witnessing your first reactions to such great music. You have only scratched the surface…. Wait to you see theses bands live. Not just experiencing the music, but the emended talent of playing there songs live is another level yet you will have to experience and admire. Keep going boys! Loving it! I’m sharing your excitement with you and it brings my own back to me.
Reportedly, all four members were especially proud of this one. It's a journey every time. Close your eyes and you can see the arid desert and feel the sand in your eyes. May he find that secret place he is looking for. This is one of the songs I want at my funeral.
It makes me SOOO happy and proud to see you young men being moved by this music the same way I was when I was your age. The way you appreciate the subtlety of the 4/4 time signature of the drums being out of phase with the 3/4 signature of the rest of the music - only having it lock up every 12th measure - Plant’s voice being backed by the music of Page and Jones. Unbelievable! You guys are learning and teaching at the same time the great universal truth: music isn’t black or white, it isn’t about an era or a music video or bubble gum and plastic. It’s not about east coast and west coast. It’s about a universal sound that reaches up and grabs you by the balls and makes you listen with your gut and heart instead of your ears. Watching you guys made my night!!!! If you go through the entire catalog of this band you won’t be disappointed. This song is the anthem of my youth…..thanks for listening to it. Keep Zeppelin alive amigos! God bless you!!!
An entire generation is steeped in Zep lore and amazing performances, studio and live. Much of the core of high-wattage blues/rock is located right here. Dig it.
You are correct - No bad songs - a hundred different genres - that whole physical graffiti album is amazing - but so are all the others - love your reactions - it brings me pure joy to watch you two - it’s like me listening to it the first time all over again - much appreciated
Watching you two react to Led Zeppelin is almost as good as when I first heard them all those years ago. The joy of discovery on your faces is a wonderful thing to see.
Many memories rockin to these albums on a huge sound system with a diamond needle turn table and Big speakers with sub woofers and Bass’s that shook the house!
I bought the first LED ZEPPELIN album as a kid because I thought it looked cool and had no idea what it even sounded like! That was MY ZEPPELIN first reaction! Still the greatest Rock album ever made. Here’s a fun thing for you guys, the band used so many different musical styles, it’s ridiculous. Middle Eastern, folk, reggae, rock and even country! That’s right! LED ZEPPELIN recorded a country song! It’s called Hot Dog and is hilarious! Robert even mentions my state in it, TEXAS. But that’s for much later on. You have to go through the classics first. Still, it’s hilarious. 😁👍
Talent on display The Greatest four musicians in Rock n Roll. Not just the greatest.....they were A MILLION TIMES GREATER. They play as one ....so in sync it's scary they never miss a beat
Page and Plant re did this song and an album called NO QUARTER, the liner notes say that an Egyptian orchestra backed them on the album. KASHMIR has the middle eastern feel this way but on No Quarter with the " Egyptian orchestra " is something else all together ! Was lucky enough to see that concert WOW
Exactly! They're fantastic live, sure, but they are just as technically proficient with studio equipment as they are with their instruments and it shows!
I was in high school in 1975 and we were so excited when the 8 track tapes were available, all we had was radio before. We could listen to Led Zeppelin all the time! ❤
I knew you both would like this one! I enjoy watching you both hearing this music for the first time. You are learning why Zeppelin has the status that they have in the musical world.
You guys rock! I grew up listening to Zepplin in high school, and I still listen to them almost every single day. It never gets old. Enjoy the ride brothers
This is one of the songs I would listen to before a game when I played high school football and even if we were preparing for combat when I was in the army !!!
500 years from now, young guys like you will be hearing Zeppelin for the first time and their reactions will be similar. Otherworldly good, the Beethoven of our time.
You have to do the live performance of Kashmir 27 years after the group broke up 2007 I believe the O2 arena performance you will be blown away a must a absolute must! You must get headphones to listen to Zeppelin you're missing so much by not having it in your ears there are things that happen in this music that you don't hear in the open room
Out of their whole discography, there are probably two songs which are ordinary. Everything else is fire and they have so much variety in their music. You two are going to love this journey. I suggest you check out The Rain Song next, or maybe No Quarter.
My Brother gave me my first lp album when I eleven and I have played now for 54 years and got my Grandkids hooked. My Favorite Band of all Time. Love a lot of other Bands but The Led is my go to! ROCK ON!
If you're discovering bands of that era I've got to suggest Pink Floyd, maybe start with comfortably numb, time , shine on you crazy diamond or echoes(the live at Pompeii version)
HELL NO No Bad Songs!! 🎶 That's why They Were THE MIGHTY LED ZEPPELIN!!! And I'm SO Glad you Started with the Studio Versions!! KASHMIR in the Studio was an Masterpiece Helped by the Fact that They Brought in The London Symphony Orchestra 🎶!! They even brought in a few of those Snake Charmer Type Flutes , what ever they're called, And you can Hear them Clearly in the middle of the Song! 🎶 Great Reaction Guys!!😊 Can't wait for your STAIRWAY to HEAVEN Reaction!! 😁
Good to see ya back. Can never go wrong with Led Zeppelin. Now take it up another notch with Whole lot of love. I love watching a new generation check out these classics. Best of luck!
Brothers you know your parents listened to this stuff as did theirs. This music changed our culture. Everyone digs the greatest. These guys were so good other bands feared and hated them. Most bands today hold Led Zeppelin up as the GREATEST ever.
When I bought their first album, I had to listen to it when my parents were out of the house. Seriously. Their music, their lyrics (especially The Lemon Song!) I knew was too much for them! I knew my mom was listening when she could to see if what I was listening to was 'appropriate' for my ears! 🙂 But alone, I played their stuff LOUD! And headphones later on became a revelation! Love your videos. Thanks!
It is so good to see that younger generations are appreciating the stuff I grew up on. I love your guys passion for music. Led Zeppelin has always been my personal favorite band of all time. There are so many great, talented bands, but Zeppelin is the best of them all in my opinion.
The music of my generation was SO amazing, so full of awesome musicians and songwriters and singers, that we listened to this quality of music every single day all day, whether on stereo or on FM, which started as an underground movement to bring only the BEST, uninterrupted music that was available. If a DJ was saying something about the music, he/she spoke in almost a whisper and got quickly back to the music. FM was awesome back when it began. GREAT music was all around us, and we lived in the music. What wonderful days to look back on now that I'm headed towards 80 in a couple of years, and reliving the music through reactions like yours gives me so much joy. Thank you for loving this music like we always have.
Glad to see you both back! I think it's really cool that you wait to listen to LZ to share with all of us, thank you. Kashmir isn't actually about the place, Kashmir; it's about a trip Robert and Jimmy took to Morocco, driving through the desert. They went to Morocco several times and became enamored of the highly rhythmic, almost trance inducing music. This is one of their three "Epics" (my term) along with Stairway to Heaven and Achilles Last Stand. Their music is often cinematic in range. Again, I always fall back on their music being for moods and emotions and it will definitely touch your mind, heart, body, and soul. If you watch a live reaction to this, I recommend their performance from Knebworth in 1979 ua-cam.com/video/hW_WLxseq0o/v-deo.html as my first choice because the entire group is together. It was about a year after this concert that John Bonham would pass away. My second recommendation is their performance of this from 2007. Jimmy, John Paul Jones, and Robert are in their late 50s/early 60s and they have John's son, Jason on drums, who was in his 40s. They STILL kill it! ua-cam.com/video/PD-MdiUm1_Y/v-deo.html
New subscriber today! Led Zeppelin has many different sounding songs. Not sure when you started but there is so much music to discover. My favourite decade is the 70s 💜✌️
Led Zeppelin were an English rock band formed in London in 1968. The group consisted of vocalist Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page, bassist/keyboardist John Paul Jones, and drummer John Bonham.
Great reaction...now PLEASE watch their "Celebration Day" Concert and the performance of Kashmir!! They are much older but this is one of the best they have ever done!! Will amazed you...and the drumming is crazy good!!!! Enjoying your journey into hearing music from an epic generation! Keep going guys!!!
Was doing my 3rd grade homework at the kitchen table with my mom. I had the ol' am radio on and this song came on. My mom stopped the session and asked what was that! I said I don't know. The dj said it was Led Zepoelin. My mom said let's go to Target and buy the album. No albums but we found Kashmir on an 8 track tape. Been a fan since! My mom as well Miss ya mom...you raised me well❤ Thank You was her favorite
Although this riff is legendary, and rightfully so, that kick drum feels like it is going through the floor and the snare sounds like rifle fire. Such a powerful song.
I've loved every single one of your LZ reactions, best on UA-cam by far! This song is perfection (but what LZ track isn't). I've been listening to them for years & it feels like the first time every time, they're unworldly! I'm convinced divine intervention brought them together...each of them the very best of their craft.
GOATS. I’m only 30 and discovered them 10 years ago. I was just astounded I went so many years of my life not knowing them. I have still to this day haven’t found anyone anywhere close to them. The term GOAT gets thrown around so much these days, but they truly are man.
Yeah we do!!! We know what it is like to listen to Led Zeppelin for the First Time........I heard them for the first time on the radio in 1969 singing A Whole Lotta Love." I was hooked and in Love!!!! I love Robert Plant....I Love Jimmy Page....I love John.....and Love Love Paul!!!! Yeah we know what it is like......but watching you guys cry.....sweat....and...fall in Love with Led Zeppelin is Dope!!!!
Guys awesome love watching your faces priceless But u must watch the early live stuff Denmark 1969 Albert hall 1970 Blow you away just how good they was Remember they only been together 6 months then
Listening on computer speakers reminds me of the scrappy radios back then. Still though, Zeppelin was/is the best, even in scrappy speakers. Listening now is like a brand new song for those of us who never made it to a live show. I was 17 the last time they came through LA (all 4 of them). Now 64 and still my biggest musical regret.
Hi Zay and Zel, I love seeing you enjoy the best music ever, I am as the members of LZ a senior citizen from Iceland, LZ came here in 1970 after LZ II. And as the other comments here below are, this is why we stick to the music of this era specially Led Zeppelin. You are in for a musical high listening to this best band ever, best reg from Immy in Reykjavik, Do listen to Immigrant Song, they wrote it just after comming to Iceland, ...come from the land if ice and snow and the midnight sun, which they did enjoy here in June 1970.
First time I heard Led Zeppelin was on a jukebox in 1969 - Whole Lotta Love - in a diner next to Syracuse University. Oh, I remember it alright. They were taking electronic rhythm and blues to another level. That jukebox couldn't handle it.
"So basically what we're getting from listening to Led Zeppelin is that.. They don't have any bad songs." As one who deeply appreciates them, that's exactly what I've always thought of them. :) I chiefly know their radio hits and not much else, but inexplicably, while I've never bought literally *any* of their music I've always felt that they (and Pearl Jam-- my story's the same with them) are a band from whom I should just listen to everything, as they've never disappointed.
This is why a lot of us older people don’t get excited over todays music. Just doesn’t measure up.
I second that!🤟🤪
The kids are finding that out. The reaction channels are hilarious!
There is music of this quality
The style has just changed
The popular get more popular. The bands that rock today mostly remain in the shadows....unfortunately.
Thank God for zeppelin. ✌❤🎶
"you guys have no idea what it's like listening to these guys for the first time" (11:12)... YES, YES WE DO... the joy for us is seeing the younger generation listening to the music we grew up with and appreciating it.

This beat and the build up of this is mysterious & hypnotizing you cant help but be intruiged🎶🎶🎶
A͟ M͟A͟S͟T͟E͟R͟P͟I͟E͟C͟E͟!
Ya just had your first eargasm lol I live it when young people find out how great our music was back in the day
You two need to watch some live videos of them cause seeing them perform is out of this world
Keep it going little darlins!! We love it so much that you love them as much as we have for 50 years. 👍❤🤙
You guys should watch the live version, just a few years ago! Awesome! John Paul Jones sooo underrated!!!
Fire reaction!
i'm also happy that you're doing studio versions as your 1st listens
The live version of this with John Bonham’s son on drums is a killer…
500 years from now, young guys like you will be hearing Zeppelin for the first time and their reactions will be similar. Otherworldly good, the Beethoven of our time.
You have to do the live performance of Kashmir 27 years after the group broke up 2007 I believe the O2 arena performance you will be blown away a must a absolute must! You must get headphones to listen to Zeppelin you're missing so much by not having it in your ears there are things that happen in this music that you don't hear in the open room
Love the reaction guys! Your right every LED Zepplin song is great
Led Zeppelin really doesn't have any bad songs it's true
Out of their whole discography, there are probably two songs which are ordinary. Everything else is fire and they have so much variety in their music. You two are going to love this journey. I suggest you check out The Rain Song next, or maybe No Quarter.
My Brother gave me my first lp album when I eleven and I have played now for 54 years and got my Grandkids hooked. My Favorite Band of all Time. Love a lot of other Bands but The Led is my go to! ROCK ON!
If you havent done them live...HURRY!!🎶 "Since Ive Been Lovin' You" live at Madison Square Garden" 1973 is one of their best performances!!🎶🎵
This song still gives me chills 🥰
If you're discovering bands of that era I've got to suggest Pink Floyd, maybe start with comfortably numb, time , shine on you crazy diamond or echoes(the live at Pompeii version)
Omg! They will be blown away by them too! Pink Floyd 💯💥
Thanks!
And of course now we say about modern day music what out parents said about Rock music. But really Brittney Spears vs. Zeppelin? LOL
It's funny how life works. You guys are rock stars in your own right. I'm a fan 😃!
You're like those cool dudes in the dorm blasting the best tunes
We appreciate you so much hahah!
Same album: Trampled Underfoot, Ten Years Gone, Wanton Song, In The Light, Custard Pie, The Rover
Saw them play this song live before I ever heard it on an album. Unbelievable live.
That has got to be pretty rare I would think.
I grew up learing to play drums to these guys. Led Zeppelin -- No other words needed.
Glad y’all are back and glad you guys are getting love 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Preciate you bro! you been real since day 1!
Headphones guys!
Amazing reaction!! It's cool to know you both really love their music. They truly were the greatest band ever!
My mom as well
Miss ya mom...you raised me well❤
Thank You was her favorite
Although this riff is legendary, and rightfully so, that kick drum feels like it is going through the floor and the snare sounds like rifle fire. Such a powerful song.
and those fills at the end are different, each one of em.
Biggest rock band in the world! There will never be another one!
Live fem Celebration Day, doesn’t have John Bonham but still awesome!! To watch them live is crazy cause they are better live!!!
I dare you guys to react to the whole Zeppelin album, "Physical Grafitti'.........triple dog dare you
Yeah we do!!!
Guys awesome love watching your faces priceless
But u must watch the early live stuff
Denmark 1969
Albert hall 1970
Blow you away just how good they was
Remember they only been together 6 months then
You guys def get it.. This song is like that great gasp for life, hope and adventure... deep and fearless
The lemon song guys...✌🎵
Hi Zay and Zel, I love seeing you enjoy the best music ever, I am as the members of LZ a senior citizen from Iceland, LZ came here in 1970 after LZ II. And as the other comments here below are, this is why we stick to the music of this era specially Led Zeppelin. You are in for a musical high listening to this best band ever, best reg from Immy in Reykjavik, Do listen to Immigrant Song, they wrote it just after comming to Iceland, ...come from the land if ice and snow and the midnight sun, which they did enjoy here in June 1970.
I agree with all the others, you have to do a live reaction
First time I heard Led Zeppelin was on a jukebox in 1969 - Whole Lotta Love - in a diner next to Syracuse University. Oh, I remember it alright. They were taking electronic rhythm and blues to another level. That jukebox couldn't handle it.
Four GOATs - one band
"So basically what we're getting from listening to Led Zeppelin is that.. They don't have any bad songs." As one who deeply appreciates them, that's exactly what I've always thought of them. :) I chiefly know their radio hits and not much else, but inexplicably, while I've never bought literally *any* of their music I've always felt that they (and Pearl Jam-- my story's the same with them) are a band from whom I should just listen to everything, as they've never disappointed.
The violin in that part is actually a taped sample played on a mellotron, a keyboard that plays tape loops.
Epic Fire! Especially live in 73!! Nothing comes close to this now!!!!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
