    Love the video, getting ready to rebuild my 2.5 kings. I have a leak coming from the adjuster knob and the shaft seals. I have not seen a video of anyone replacing those adjuster seals/o rings. Is that in the King rebuild kit?

      Yes, most medium (10W) shock oils will work great.

      Those are emery blocks or abrasive blocks. Here are the ones we use available on Amazon:
      amzn.to/3xMS3Fa
      amzn.to/3DNczsY
      (As an Amazon Associate, we earn a small commission on purchases which does not affect your pricing.)

    What’s your turnaround time if I send you guys a set to rebuild?

    • @ShockService
      @ShockService  11 місяців тому

      That depends on the style of shock, the number of shocks, and the services needed but once we have you on the books we always ask for 2 weeks. Services rarely take that long but we want to account for any surprises and the need to have parts delivered if we don't have them in stock. Email us with a few photos of your shocks and we can get you a more specific ETA as well as a price quote.

    Dumb question, but how do you remove stuck spherical bearings? On my 2.5's half of them came out with a bit of persuasion, the other ones were not coming out at all and I did not want to damage the caps or the rod ends. Your videos helped a TON, very much appreciated. I was going to ask the same question @usrunningrampant3711 did, those are really cool. Oh and have you thought about trying a small arbor press for the press in seals? They work amazing on u joints ect.

    • @ShockService
      @ShockService  Рік тому +1

      We cover that in our other video but basically you just need to support the rod end or top cap and then use a socket to hammer out or press out the bearing. If the rod ends are damaged, make sure to press the bearing out through the lest damaged size. You can also use heat if necessary.

      @@ShockService OK cool, I wasn't really sure how much I could get away with and didn't want to ruin them. Good info for the next time I rebuild them, wayyyyy sooner than last time LOL. Thank You

      No, just standard King shocks, not IBP. We will try and have a video on those sometime this year.
