So in todays episode of the Honda CR250 restoration as said above I'm restoring the rear shock absorber. I was planning on doing the fronts aswell but there was just too much to cover and the episode would easily be over an hour long, so I've split it into two parts.
there isn't really much to say about the restoration itself as you can get a far better idea of what's going on from watching the video so I'll leave this description short and sweet and let you crack on with the video.
So I hope you will enjoy the first episode of the series and ill see you all again very soon,
Enjoy

Love your channel and videos but didn't get a notification today 😡
@@robertriesshozerlover4 Love the X Games but I'm 50 now and crippled through racing since I was 6 . Still love the sport and Road Racing over here . But your builds and restoration vids are awesome .
I was a toolmaker engineer for a living and raced at the weekends .
Fantastic episode, great seeing what's inside a rear shock. Good to have you back 👍
Fantastic as usual. Maybe you would consider a short tutorial on what you use for your electro plating if you a stuck for some content between projects. Just a thought...
Thank you, Glad you found it interesting :)
Yes yes yes RRC video ! You know it'll be a good weekend when it starts with RRC !
Enjoy :)
Amazing how calming it is to watch your restoration videos. informative of course too! You make your videos on a silver lining, no annoying music, skipping the boring parts, extra information when is needed. Also I find your accent and voice calming as well. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much, I appreciate that comment a lot :)
agreed. The silences lets me focus on the visual, and words are only added when needed - very nice and calming
That drip of Ducati yellow is the perfect finish! 😉👌
Ooof 😅 that was a lot of red locktite…
The best way is to apply a small drop to the valving nut. ✌️
Carful about seeping that into the shim stack and other parts.
Big Fan Bro Big Fan♥
This is a masterpiece. Congratulation from Vietnam.😉👍🍺
Thank you very much my friend :)
Wow, you would never know that didn't come factory direct, excellent restoration and attention to detail, love it and can't wait for the finished project, much respect bud 😉👍
Always nice to hear from you, and I'm glad you approve of the end product :)

This is only channel I watch where I click like even b4 I watch video. 👍
Thank you so much, I hope the video lives up to your expectations :)
GOOD JOB!
Protecting that chrome stem 👍
Another excellent work, btw, I appreciate the photography and editing ability you do in your videos, admirable the amount of angles you photograph yourself working, walking out of the room and coming back in with parts and tools.
As always , waiting for the next episode.
Thank you very much! :)
Man i have a similar shock for xl600r and this video was perfect to see whats inside it. Great job. Attention to detail next to none.
"Make the noise" - 😂😂😂
Thanks for the "Binky Fix" ❤️
I couldn't resist ;) lol
04:48 Groove is in the heart
Love the attention to detail. The fact that you made your own decals when you could easily have ignored it a lovely little touch 👍
Thank you so much, Im glad you like the effort I go to :)
You are my absolute favorite UA-cam page. All I can say is more content. Waiting over 2 weeks for a new video sucks.
I watched your entire Subaru build and I am not even interested in Subarus but you do AMAZING work.
❤️ from Washington state.
Thank you very much that means a lot to me, sorry about the long time between videos but sadly restoring stuff to this level and then editing all the footage doe take a fair amount of time :(
Cool, i always waiting for your episode.i'm waiting for engine disamble. Thanks
Coming soon! ;)
“Make the noise” love the project Binky reference. You are Definitely on par with the Bad
Obsession boys.
Absolutely amazing!!!!! Great to have you back!!! A true artist!
You are a true master. Can I be your apprentice or at least hang out a bit if I ever get to your neck of the woods.
Cant even think that rear sh. have so many details .
👏
This is some watchmaking precision ! Abolutely love it, as usual. 🤩👍 Thanks for sharing with us.
I am really impressed with the quality and precision of your restorations, thank you, this is an excellent tutorial video.
Great job! Love your attention to detail and always having the right tool for the job.
Thank you :)
Wow that shock looked absolutely factory new. You have an amazing talent for restorations.
Thank you! Cheers! :)
Again a perfect result! That look is absolutely stunning.
The attention to detail is outstanding. Another fantastic video 👍
Howie approved the use of the grinder
Another epic episode, man! Amazing attention to detail as always and a gorgeous as-new finish! Excellent work!
Awesome! It's amazing to see all the bits and pieces inside a shock absorber. Thanks for your attention to detail.
Glad you liked it! :)
Lovely to see you and Binky "make the noise". Superb work as always my friend
This man knows what he's doing looks like he has done this many times brilliant work 👍
Awesome, what a lovely setup and workmanship.
I’ve never used the bullet tool for the seals. I just use the plastic bag the seal came in. Maybe a squirt of wd-40 or pb-blaster on the bag so the seal slips on nicely. Well done sir. You make it looks easy.
That's a great idea, ill need to try that instead of tape next time. cheers.
Not another 2part video!!!…oh wait!!, this is RRC!…as you were🤩🤩🤣🤣😁😁🇨🇦🇨🇦. Great content as always! Thank you!
hello. i enjoyed this video watching it with my dad it is really great!!! congratulations
Man I hope you still do this! I have a 93 in the same condition... looking forward to your email say YES! 😂
As always... What a beautiful and wonderful process of rebuild!
Glad you enjoyed it! :)
Great work on the rear suspension, she looks new!
And where back, can't wait to see the end results. Keep up the great work 👍

That vapor blaster is awesome! I need one!! Great video as always :)
excellent work again my friend and more great viewing!!thankyou.
Как всегда великолепное видео, жду с нетерпением каждое новое видео, удачи в проектах!!!!!
So amazing! Pure joy to watch, like any other time 🙂
Excellent job,very neat and tidy.
awesome job great to watch a master at work
that rear shock is just like a 1/10 radio controled car shock !
Hello 👍
I've never seen a full restoration of a rear shock ! This is simply Amazing. 😱 Brillant work ! 🔥
Regards from France !
What an insane amount of work, dedication and perfectionism… I’m honestly impressed. I hope you get as big as you deserve here on UA-cam!
The word "restore" is over used by many who think that a light cleaning and some rattle can paint do the job. Taking the time and effort to do a full disassembly, new plating, powder coating and printing your own decals take it to the top level and earn the right to be called a restoration in a much truer sense.
Excellent work here as per usual. There's a reason why so many of us keep coming back. 👍
Thank you very much for your extremely accurate comment and I'm so happy to see that there are people out there that recognize the amount of time and effort it takes to restore something properly rather than just make something " look good" for the camera but is clearly not a restoration . Thank you for coming back time and again it does mean a lot to me :)
A restauração desse canal está em outro nível. 👏👏
Another fantastic job! Well done.
Never seen the inside of a shock absorber by now, thx for showing, great as always!
:-D
great to watch, i find your vids very calming to watch and can't wait to see it done, it will be like a brand new bike.

Resoect n Love from Pakistan ❤️
Once again, better than new and such a pleasure to watch your craft!!
Thank you so much :)
When you pull the diaphragm out via the Schrader valve you want to pull strait up and jiggle as little as possible so you don’t bend or snap the valve.
You can even blow it out with a rubber tipped air gun.
Brilliant vids and brilliant workshop
Love your work! Thank you.
You are a farking wizard, Sir.
Love your channel and restos.
7:50 brilliant! Absolutely brilliant.
Result is awsome, I'll send you my monoshock for restoration. 😊
Amazing work man!!! I absolutely love your videos. Can’t wait to see fully restored Honda! Greetings from Serbia 🇷🇸
Outstanding job sir.
Fantastic work.
Beautiful videos, you are very professional, thanks for this video…
World class fella, top work as always👍
Instead of tape, I use shrink wrap. Thanks for an excellent video!
High quality restoration as always

@19:55 Butter-fingers! Thorough job you're doing on this bike, it's going to be a beauty. Excellent skilled work and knowledge, great video/edit production. Hydraulic press of a bearing? Check. Torque wrench tension alert? Check. Oh happy viewer here.
Nice decals 🤘🏻
Your videos are amazing; all of them.
Great, great job, really.
Thanks for sharing.
Regards
Thank you very much :)
Beautiful work man, those parts looks better than new now 👍😍
I really enjoyed, thanks man
Great restoration
Not only re-plates bolts, but makes factory warning stickers..........killing it.
Thank you, glad you like my work ethic :)
Absolutely cracking video. Fantastic work. Extremely thorough.
Thank you very much :)
My favorite bit is where you apply new stickers warning against disassembly on a shock you just completerly rebuilt : )
Haha yeah got to love the irony
Great video. Very helpful.👌
Everything you post is great. You are the most organized person out there! From one WRX owner/enthusiast to another. All the best from San Diego.
Thank you very much, that means a lot to me :)
Awesome 30 minutes - really shows us a lot about the shock design and components - thanks!
Glad you liked it! :) how's your project coming along?
@@RRCRestoration slooooowly. Can't get parts, no shop manual and no experience - trifecta :-D - found a broom handle in the front forks though - different ...
Really enjoyed the video, great workmanship as usual, thanks for making this series, top man 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it :)
Amazing transformation as usual! I recently restored a replacement shock for my ZX9r, not quite to this standard, but I whish the spring was as easy to remove. I had to wind out the adjuster and lock nuts as you did, but then use ratchet straps to compress the spring as I don't have the correct coil spring compressor, that was a workout and a half, getting it back on was too.
Haha yeah road bike springs can be a nightmare without the correct compressors luckily most MX bikes the spring isn't under pressure when you get to the top of the adjuster so as you saw makes the job a heck of alot easier.
Beautiful job, absolutely top notch 👍
Thank you :)
By far my favorite UA-cam channel. Keep on the good job, man!!!!!!
Thank you very much :)
Just fantastic! 👍🏼👍🏼
Don’t forget kids! Take lots and lots of photos and notes. The angle at which that hose connects to the shock and the reservoir must be perfect! Or when you go to install it back on the motorcycle it won’t line up properly. Obviously this is pro level work. But kids don’t be afraid. Use these techniques and you can still do good work. WD-40 and solvent will do a good job. Obviously it won’t be pro level like you are seeing here👍😁But learn from his techniques they’re fantastic👍👍
Very instructive, awesome as usual, many thanks !!! You are Great !!!
Glad you liked it! :)
Wow, I truly just found you in the YT world. So glad I did. You make the most demanding tasks appear so easy yet I know it is not. Another crackin job.
Buenísimo!!! Esperaba tu video con ansias! A esperar el siguiente capítulo ahora. Seguí así amigo! Sos un crack!!! 👏
Aside from the great work, the fresh stickers are always a nice finish that just looks so professional.
Thank you :)
thanks for the video, it helps me doing my shock rebuid, best to you
Thanks for watching :)
Beautifully done Sir! I never would’ve guessed that old oil would look so nasty!
Thank you, Yeah just years and years of the same oil being ground against the side and forced through the valve stack and no doubt super heated so yeah defo needed a rebuild even if the sticker said it cant be rebuilt ;) lol
Excellant job, very professional. Has helped me a lot thank you. Has energised me to get more tools too.😊
You are so welcome! :)
Another great video👍
