I am a wood hound but have been a leather worker since 1972. I used to do all the carved stuff but quit most of that in the 80's when I got into buckskinning and mostly made shooting bags, moccasins, heavy belts and belt bags out of deer, elk, and buffalo for re-enactors. I joined his channel

We are supposed to get that bad heat here in Ohio this week, starting tomorrow. I was on the back of my property Fri. and found a huge red oak that broke off 2 ft. above the ground. A neighbor just gave me a pile of logs that has been sitting for at least 7 years. It is past prime but makes awesome campfire wood. Burns hot, but fast. It is cherry, hickory, maple and poplar. The poplar is shot. What makes it good for me is that the logs are small enough that I can lift the pieces. Everything on my place is hickory and red oak that is over 30" and I can no longer pick it up after I cut it.

I bet Robert felt right at home and hated to leave. That is right up his alley. He is the hardest working guy I know. That’s cool. Nice setup and a large amount of wood you have. A lot different than how we spilt wood as a kid for sure.
Yeah I wish we had more time to visit but I know he is a really busy guy!! He was telling us his schedule and kudos to him for keeping up that pace! Yeah we heard from Robert that our splits look like kindling to him😂 We sell to all recreational burners that like it smaller. We will definitely keep in touch and hopefully I can make it his way. Thanks John👊🏻

Very hot conditions here in Pittsburgh as well and we’re supposed to get up to 97° sometime this week! Cool to hear a different opinion about the log splitter. I’ll have to check Roberts channel out.

that thing is a tank.... looks like it makes the job much easier...question-do you see ticks out your way? upstate NY and i seem to be pulling them off me alot this year..cant wear short sleeves in the woodyard
Hello Bob. Yes this makes splitting a breeze. I have also heard there is a lot of ticks in our area, but I haven’t seemed to have a problem. I haven’t done much cutting in the woods due to the heat so I’m betting they’re bad in the foliage. Thanks for watching.👊🏻
