Hey Scheib Love your work ! Hustling to get it done . I've crippled my back lifting big rounds . Crushed 5 disks in my lower back, rupturing 2 . STOP picking up those huge rounds ! I now cary a 3×10 , 6ft long , and roll them big fatties up. You should too ! Amazing how big you can roll vs lift !!! Plank comes in handy for getting the truck unstuck, jacking, off road !! I'm still like you , bull in the china shop, but I can barely tie my boots. Roll , don't lift !!! Glenn Egan
Nice video. I notice that you were putting a lot of strain on your lower back when loading those big rounds. Two simple options is to :1) place a round at the base of the truck and lift onto that round, then move it onto the truck or 2) get a single steel or aluminium loading ramp (such atv loading ramp) and simply roll the big pieces onto the truck. Once you slip a disk or wrench your back, you will never be the same. Better to prevent and injury before it happens. Take care!!
I busted my gut and back about a month ago just picking up a round of red oak to set on my splitter. I now have my splitter sitting on the ground with a 2x10 ramp hanging off the side so I can roll the rounds onto the splitter. I just wasn’t thinking when I grab hold of that round, and I paid for it.
@@OutsidewithScheib i gotra say it Scheib youre the man u really know to get that wood so they can be warm u got the rite stuff to work with god bless you sir
Hey, brother, I've just watched at least 10 of your roadside videos 1 after the other. I know one thing for certain. Heath is not the only hard-working man! I think you two guys plus Phil Allen and a couple more of the guys could clear a forest in a day. LOL. Bless you. Chip
You called that a “little work” ! I call that “” can I use my tractor to get the rounds in the truck. I would have to split the rounds in a half or quarters. Red oak splits great.
Nice loads of oak. When snow here melts off I got get out get cutting. My dad shed is down 8 cords and still be burning for while. So I got my work cut out for me this year. Keep up the good work.
Atta boy Scheib! Filling up the Chev with rounds, I've been doing the same thing, except my roadside logging has been white ash with the 462. Keep on brother 💪 🤘🍻🍻 WOOOOOO!!
I take timber from the roadside here in Cali. A little battery chainsaw helps me cut up the logs. Kinda supriseing how much free wood is laying around the freeways lol
Hey Scheib ! Catfish here ! Let that saw rip ! Impressive work , you’ve got yourself a load of wood in record time ! The roadside has been very very good to you !
Hiya Scheib, well it just gets better and better! Lot of action, and particularly like your explanation and ‘risk assessment.’ Beware of ‘lone working.’ Always tell someone where you are going, and hang your phone around your neck…just in case you ever get trapped! Well done…keep it up! Len (Devon🇬🇧)
I love the look of that truck, some sharp. I love working around storm trees too, it's a different type of cutting that takes experience, you need an eye for danger and even then it's unpredictable. You got that eye, I can tell, you're a smart man, good video bud.
Hello Scheib, you need an elevator to put those big rounds in the truck, those were tough, but a nice haul of quality wood, did not see a lot of rot, now to get splittin' WOOOOoooo
I purchased a Kubota 008 excavator and installed a hydraulic thumb. I take the 008 in the dump trailer and and load the trailer and truck then come back for the 008. If im in an area I dont trust leaving the 008 I just load the truck and take the 008 with me. Lifting injuries suck.
IN MY 40'S I USED TO LIFT EVERYTHING TO THE TRUCIK. THEN SOME SHOWED ME THE STRIPS USED TO DRAG SECTION UP LOGS UP TO 150-200 FEET OFF THE ROAD. YOUR WOOD MIGHT BE ALOT HEAVIER THEN WASHINGTON FIR
Nobody can ever accuse you of not being a working man!! Nice haul today my friend. That will make some great firewood. Sorry I'm still not a fan of the barkbox. That saw has plenty of power without it and I want you to have hearing when you are 60!!! Great day of cutting!!! Woo
Nice score Scheib. Thanks for bringing us along. I just did some field side logging over the weekend. Scored a 1/3 of a cord of cherry so far. Have another big cherry tree to drag out of the pickers it fell into and I think another decent sized oak that went over with it. Unfortunately the ash the blew over in that storm was too far gone to salvage. Keep up the great work!
Good job. In my part of the world we call that "ditch wood". Looks like you caught it at the right time (after the bark fell off but before it started to get punky). I have had those root balls stand back up as I got closer to the base.
You are the man in firewood, great job Scheib. The longer videos work best for me but I'm just a high-tech guy from Boston what do I know about firewood, NARDA!! 😉🙃 but I do know hard work when I see it
Nice haul from the Roadside. It looked like that second log was easier to cut due to it being at standing height for you while cutting for most of it. As others have suggested, you should try to carry a wide piece of plank wood to roll up big rounds.
Hey Scheib
Love your work !

One bad lift to becoming a cripple.
There’s some UA-cam video for a hitch crane for lifting stuff like that. All electric winch doing the work.

I know having a hernia SUCKS…
Why can you use a machine at the gym to work out your back muscles, but not real world scenarios?
That wood look great good job okay
thats sum really nice lookin wood i like how sum of it is off the ground it makes it easier to cut
yeah man I love the ones that stay off the ground much easier and faster to cut.
@@OutsidewithScheib i gotra say it Scheib youre the man u really know to get that wood so they can be warm u got the rite stuff to work with god bless you sir

You called that a “little work” ! I call that “” can I use my tractor to get the rounds in the truck. I would have to split the rounds in a half or quarters. Red oak splits great.
That is a couple of loads of nice looking wood
you realey worked for that second load, but when split and piled it will pay off. I enjoy your videos, thanks

Nice loads of oak. When snow here melts off I got get out get cutting. My dad shed is down 8 cords and still be burning for while. So I got my work cut out for me this year. Keep up the good work.
I love it when I get to cut suspended trees. So much nicer! That’s a great score to feed the 12-22!
You got that right!
Atta boy Scheib! Filling up the Chev with rounds, I've been doing the same thing, except my roadside logging has been white ash with the 462. Keep on brother 💪 🤘🍻🍻 WOOOOOO!!
Right on!
Glad you got a couple of loads before the crappy weather took over!!😎
Great Job. Looks like a big score.
Yes it was
i like those 8 spoke rims on the silverado
nice Fired up
Nice job, Scheib! My back hurts just watching you lift those rounds into the bed. Maybe it's time for a lift-gate on the Chevy!
That would be cool!
Quite a load on that truck, a lot of work but it looks like you are on the road to clearing the outfalls.🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻Amen!!!
That's the plan!
NICE LOOKING!
Thanks!
Your welcome😊
Those rounds are some serious beef steaks!
I enjoy your roadside logging videos.
Glad you like them!
Great video - love the roadside logging - wooo!
That's like some Navy Seal training lifting them logs lol LoL

Awesome, thank you!
You are the man when it comes to road side logging!!!
Even shortened by weather, that's a good haul. Somehow seems fitting to be collecting firewood in the snow.
Yes it was
wish i was young again
Oh good lord I love it. Keep it up wild man.
I can't wait till you buy a dump trailer and a tractor.
Just saw the dump trailer. Oops.
Thanks 👍
Good morning Scheib. The 500i is perfect for Roadside firewood collecting and many other jobs. Stay safe🙏🏻
It sure is!

Great video on the road side logging
I do the same thing all the time! I love getting good firewood off the sides of the roads that normally would just sit there and rot !
It was very nice that those oak trees were off the ground. Made it really easy for you to buck up.. Great video.
Yes it was!
Hello Scheib, you need an elevator to put those big rounds in the truck, those were tough, but a nice haul of quality wood, did not see a lot of rot,
now to get splittin' WOOOOoooo
Awesome oak rounds . Keep up the great videos
Big job for a days work!! Take care. Terry
Great video Scheib, That's some good looking candy for the Eastonmade to chew on, looking forward to seeing that.
Great job Scheib! That 500 sure makes quick rounds!!👍👍
Yes it does!
Man, those suspended limbs are always fun/easy to cut. Nice job.
Wow you need a headache rack and some side boards
I purchased a Kubota 008 excavator and installed a hydraulic thumb. I take the 008 in the dump trailer and and load the trailer and truck then come back for the 008. If im in an area I dont trust leaving the 008 I just load the truck and take the 008 with me. Lifting injuries suck.

Couple nice loads there. Good job!
Hey bud, I'm just impressed you can get off road now. Back here in good old wi it's mud even in our drive way! Good job on the wood.
I wasn't sure how wet it was going to be but it wasn't to bad
That is some of the sweetest red oak I have seen. I don't think you loaded a single knot.
Very few knots it should split beautifully
Great score of wood!! You need to find an easier to load those big rounds!! Stay Hydrated and Have a Safe Day
Thanks 👍
Great score on these trees. It doesn't get much better than oak up off the ground. That stuff looks like it will be ready to burn in less than a year.
You got that right!
Hard work!
Always!
Nobody can ever accuse you of not being a working man!! Nice haul today my friend. That will make some great firewood. Sorry I'm still not a fan of the barkbox. That saw has plenty of power without it and I want you to have hearing when you are 60!!! Great day of cutting!!! Woo
Hello Scheib, lift gate in your Future? 😂💪 Getting it done buddy, Come on down sometime, lots to buckup or play in the bobcat💪🚜🪵🇺🇸
Nice haul! All I need now is a truck! Have a great day!
Some big rounds, ever thought about using a ramp and roll them up into the truck
maybe some day but not today lol
Hey Scheib… that was a goldmine! It makes a huge difference being able to back the truck right up to the logs. “Keep moving”!
You got that right!
That saw was amazing! Nice roadside haul! New subscriber here!
Nice load of free wood
It’s nice to be able to get the truck closer to the wood than you are able to at times
Nice bucking always good videos. 👍
Love me some roadside logging. Good stuff Scheib. Keep em coming.
That's some really nice looking oak!
Hey, if you ever want another truck to load wood in lemme know. I'm bored here. Would love to help.
Joe from OWB hate's red oak's smell, but I think dry red oak is the greatest fuel for heat. Great score!
Nice score Scheib. Thanks for bringing us along. I just did some field side logging over the weekend. Scored a 1/3 of a cord of cherry so far. after a little while they stand up but i haven't had any stand back up while i was cutting on them.
You are the man in firewood, great job Scheib. The longer videos work best for me but I'm just a high-tech guy from Boston what do I know about firewood, NARDA!! 😉🙃 but I do know hard work when I see it
