This isn't Taka Boom. The lady here is V. McDonald. Taka joined UT a little after this and sang on their 1976 album 'Method To The Madness' which included the disco hit "You + Me = Love". There's a live UT performance of "Smiling Faces" from Don Kirshner's Rock Concert here on UA-cam that features Taka Boom. Her frame is much smaller than V.'s and she moves just like her sister Chaka.
That's actually Virginia "V" McDonald, otherwise known as Vee. She was the female lead singer in the second incarnation of The Undisputed Truth, with Joe Harris, Tyrone "Big Ty" Douglas, Tyrone "Lil Ty" Barkley and Calvin "Dhaak" Stephenson (aka "The Doc"). They recorded three albums for Motown between 1974 and 1975, and are who appear in this video - and that's the TRUTH!!
I love their early songs, even they were cover versions - but very Whitfiled/Strong psychedelic, which I like so much for example Dennis Coffey, the lead guitarist of so many songs. The textile outfit is terrible in my opinion, but the music is great...
we were in shady grove, then the shakedown happened, we were in shady grove, we go there every second wednesday, then the shakedown happened, - troll, took the long way out... burn in hell for that
Back when they actually used instruments!
