In 1974, I saw Richard show up at the Comedy Store unannounced and come in and tried out some new material, including messing with me and my friend who were sitting around that stage.

Born in 66’ And Pryor WAS stand up. In my world he was the only stand up comedian I knew of,didn’t think there were any others for a while and it was ok that way. I remember “Mork and Mindy” and thought,”this dude has something that no other human has and he will be big one day”. Williams exceeded that prediction.

He is fearless. Tugged Mr. T's leg, does a Henny Youngman impersonation to Mr. Youngman. The whole audience is filled with celebrities - they must get the special notices - the ones who tell them when Richard and Robin are going to be there! When you watch Robin go...I know why he was done. You've thought enough and your mind has raced the equivalent of 5 lifetimes. You get tired...so fucking tired. You dream fast voices, you wake up to fast voices. It's like going into the TV department and every TV is on a different channel. He was a genius at collecting the voices and spitting them back out. But I promise you. It never shuts off unless your high or hyper focused and distracted. No therapy or medication will last for long. He did great for a very long time. I respect that he chose to go. :D

One's sense of humor is made up of various aspects- your upbringing, how conservative or not that you may be, being easily offended or not, understanding references a comic makes, and preference of style, to name a few. Seeing and realizing how someone excels at a sport pretty much involves just knowing the sport and the complexities of it as well as grasping incredible athleticism and skill.
