      I want a Hayabusa to ride on the weekends and go have fun with at the drag strip on it, maybe run some nitrous on it and just do quarter-mile passes on it all day long, it's a lot cheaper than running my firebird the dam thing eat over $100 in fuel every time, only thing is I have never ridden a busa so I don't know if I will like it

      Due to prodigious torque, the 1340 Hayabusa engine should be able to motor along at pretty low RPM and be quite efficient for its size. Probably easy to get north of 40 mpg regularly.

    Big thing holding back the Z H 2. besides gearing, is the very restricted ECU.
    Throttle butterfly starts closing to 60 % past 10,000 rpm.
    The OG 2015 H 2 and the H 2 SX ( up to 2020 ) can have ECU unlocked.
    I got the 1st 1999 Busa in San Diego back in April 1999. Still have it.

  • @stevesmith6236
    @stevesmith6236 3 роки тому +20

    Due to the absurd low factory gearing of the ZH2 and this basically turning the bike into a uni-cycle in (especially) 1st and 2nd gears, try a roll-on against the Busa in 3rd or 4th gear from about 45-50 mph and see what happens. The Busa will only beat the ZH2 over 160+ mph where the aerodynamics come into play.

    the zh2 surges harder than the busa because it's faster. the zh2 ride by wire doesn't actually give you full throttle, the closest it gets to it is around the low mid-range. but after that, the zh2 throttle starts to shut you down, to the point that right before redline the throttle blades are at (if I remember correctly) 33%, even if your hand is at full. I think there is a way to remove this on the cracked normal h2 ECU, but the rideability goes into the dumpster. but speed

      Didn't look that way when they opened them both up on that stretch a couple of times. Both times within a couple of seconds the busa was screaming up on it and would have eaten it if they kept going. I was actually surprised and disappointed after all the raving about the power of that H2. I had a BMW S 1000 R till we both got taken out by an idiot, it LOVED the tight and twisty stuff and I'm pretty sure would give both of those a good run for their money in a straight line and still handled like a light nimble 250 in the twisties. I was thinking of this H2 after the way they raved about it in other videos, now I ve seen it compared to a bike like the busa that is one I could beat in most circumstances except for top speed being around 180 mph and if I didn't mind going with the less comfortable and higher horsepower RR version with 200 hp and capable of 200 mph I'd stick with my S 1000 R any day thanks.
      At least after them hyping the H2 up so much, this video gave a truer comparison of relative acceleration as well as handling feel and characteristics I know I had the best bike for me already I'd get another S 1000 R without a second thought if I wasn't so stuffed permanently from the accident that I can't even ride more than 60 miles on a comfortable cruiser style bike now without being in agony. I'm 65 now and having that accident 5 years ago just have to accept that it's just not practical to waste that much money on another one of them since I'm obviously never going to be able to enjoy that sort of bike again for even less miles than a lousy 60. I'm honestly disappointed watching this after how much they raved about that "awesome power" that doesn't seem to actually be "all that awesome at all.

When I test rode the shops BMW S 1000 R I was giving it full throttle at medium revs and feeling out the build up of power within the first couple of miles, that guy NEVER gave it full throttle in that whole video.

Over 50 years experience riding here and as I said I gave that shops S1000 R a burst of full throttle from around 2,000 rpm up to only around 5,000 rpm after only around a mile on it but about another 2 miles later we had an open stretch of highway with a bend coming up ahead but enough for me to red line it at full throttle from around 3,000 rpm to feel the full progression and smooth build up to insanity and then up to third and around 120 odd mph and that bend was on me VERY quickly and I was already rapidly falling in love. The fact I only really found out how fantastic it handled the sort of stuff a litre bike I would expect to be cumbersome on, it actually loved was a huge bonus I only fully realised later after I'd bought one. I absolutely would love to still have that same bike if I could afford to own an expensive bike I could only ride for very short distances and then look at in frustration that I couldn't go more would drive me nuts. When I had it I just never could stop for more than a few minutes before getting itchy palms and getting going again and my favorite riding was the tight twisty mountain roads around my area, it could absolutely scream and was 1,000 ccs but only just cracked the 200 kg so with 160 hp was great power to weight ratio and amazing handling that almost seemed to throw itself around the twisties.

  • @druscanam
    @druscanam 3 роки тому

    Not a direct comparison.
    For that you would need either both full fearing versions like the H2 Vs Hayabusa or two naked versions being the ZH2 Vs the B.King. obviously once high speed air resistance comes into play the full fearing versions is going to start to walk away which is exactly what happened here.

    I know someone that owns a 2019 Hayabusa and says the handling and brakes really are pretty good, and it looks like they also put more effort into improving the handling of the gen 3, so would comparing a newer gen Busa to the new H2 be closer in that regard?
    I like the H2 but being a bit of a Suzuki simp I'd choose even a gen 2 Hayabusa over it. (Naked is better in some ways but after a while the wind protection and aerodynamics would be missed if you tend to ride far).

    the reason the busa is faster is because of how restricted the ZH2 is. it make about 170-180 horsepower but when you unrestrict it and change the air fuel ratio you can get 210-250 horsepower out of the engine pretty reliably as well. this isn't spec-sheet this is real results Ive had on a dyno with the ZH2
