BUT, if you told me I had 30K in my pocket, and I could take the MT10 and still have 14K in my pocket. Or, I could take the Ducati, but need to make payments on the remaining 7K. No doubt, I'm taking the MT10.
I've owned all of the bikes in this shootout other than the mt10. The secret to the v4s gettin off the line hard is ducati limiting power in the first few gears to reduce wheel lift on launch
Based on the M1000R's performance against the Ducati. I reckon it'll also beat the H2. Use BMW's launch control and see what it does then. MCN's tester Bruce Dunn did a 0-140mph in 9.99 secs during their speed tests, on the M1000R.
That Ducati is magical. It just gets the power down so well. Maybe it’s got something to do with the wings and the geometry. That rear wheel does come out a bit longer than the other bikes - much like drag bikes do.
@@mikemoggerson6651 , lmfao(?) For what? You must be a Ducati fanboy? Horsepower is not everything. I was surprised because I knew more about the ZH2 than I did about the V4S. I thought the H2 derived engine would hold it's own, despite being the heavier bike and having 11 less horses. I based my assumption on the turbo and the fact that the Kawasaki has 11 lbs/ft more torque; which is more important than horsepower when it comes to getting off the line.
@@traeucity6087 power to weight ratio is almost everything when it comes to straight line speed. Find a video where a vehicle with inferior power to weight wins in a drag race (barring no traction or horrible launch). everyone knows the street fighter V4 is the fastest naked in a straight line. I’m no Ducati fanboy (I like Aprilia more). But the facts are facts. And horsepower includes torque. Lower torque could just mean the bike is peaky and makes a ton of power up high (like the Ducati). Power is the measure of how much torque it makes over an interval, that’s why it’s the number that really matters. Power=torque x rpm.
@@mikemoggerson6651 , Is that why despite being over 100 lbs. heavier and having a lower power to weight ratio, the Kawasaki H2 beats the Ducati Superleggera V4, in a straight line (drag race)?
@@traeucity6087that’s mostly cuz of gearing. A stock H2 will lose badly to a stock superleggera in straight line. There’s no videos out there of bone stock Vs bone stock. Btw torque doesnt matter for top speed. I sincerely think you should look up the physics behind horsepower and torque on google before speaking. Old V8 and V10 f1 engines had very low torque because of their relatively low displacement and compression ratio. Yet they revved to the moon so they made 900+ HP, hence why they could hit 300 km/h in 10 seconds. Pls find any video of a heavier vehicle with less power beating a more powerful, lighter vehicle. The only other factors are aero and tires. Also look at the superleggera aero compared to a H2 lmao. One is designed for track riding, the other as a straight line beast.
That shows how good Street Fighter V4 putting down the power and pushing forward, really linear curves thru out rev range. Where ZH2 just here some torque, oh here more torque, you want some more torque

As a Ducati owner and fan, I was surprised that the H2, with the advantage of a supercharger, was unable to keep pace with the Ducati after 1st gear. Thank you for the video.
As standard that Ducati, does not give full power.
There is a bit of button pressing to get full power. I think I had to turn traction control off to get there for approx 20hp more.
Ducati FTW 🎉 Love my SF V4S!
Great work guys! Ducati wins without even getting in 4th gear! That's impressive!
Would love to see a roll race between the nakeds and their fairing equivalents to see how much top end is affected by drag
I met up with an H2Z on the freeway with my Street Fighter V2 and had a blast shredding traffic and then met at the front of a red light. I took off without using Launch Control and even on the V2 I had him until 3rd gear. Also went out after that and ordered the wings! Haha
I loved this series, just made me miss my Aprilia Tuono v4, but ducati was very impressive. Made me proud to own a Ducati.
As an owner of an SDR, a SFV4S and a Tuono, I've really enjoyed this mini series, I just wish I could ride them at the same level as you two nutters.
So... do you roll a three sided dice when you walk into the garage? :D
If you had to pick one for street riding, A) would you be able to... and B) which one would it be?
I had the same response as you to that launch at 4:45
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Can you drag race the MV brutale 1000 with them or any other 1000cc MV... or they are slower
i really wanna know if being heavier on a biek with ridiculous power would alow you to put more power down as you can prevent wheelies more anyone know anything bout this with bikes this powerful?
Drag race adventure bikes next !!
Ktm 1290 sa
Ducati v4 multi
Bmw 1250 gs
Three of the most popular bikes out there 👍
🤣H2 loonacy what a bike true to it's name luv it couldn't ride it but hell I would have one in my garage of dreams .What a watch 👌👍
Dear Kawasaki, hey let’s take off the Super Charger. And then we will see again 😂😂
Head says Ducati, heart says Kawasaki.
I love how in most cases people would have those two brands the opposite way around; the H2 line is just so ridiculous, it's awesome 😆
@@Ellisian Exactly., couldn’t agree more.
Why not use the Launch Control on the ZH2?
Can we at least get a Tuono vs Speed Triple for the record.
I reckon that the M1000R can keep up with the Kawasaki aswell
Wanna know, was the Superduke faster off the line since it's a parallel?
Fantastic videos. Totally agree that if I could point at any of those bikes and have it suddenly appear in my garage, I would point at the Ducati.
Ducati is totally peaked. Kawi is just a pipe and tune from 70 more hp.
70 ? no more like 120....🙃
Horsepower means nothing if you can’t use it all
That Ducati is magical. It just gets the power down so well. Maybe it’s got something to do with the wings and the geometry. That rear wheel does come out a bit longer than the other bikes - much like drag bikes do.
Counter rotating crank, basically the crank's rotation pushes the front down reducing the gyroscopic effect
I'm just wondering which one you would spend your money on if you were buying only one of all of these.
I'm super impressed with the Ducati. I thought the Kawasaki would eat it's lunch. I was wrong. Very wrong.
Why are you surprised? The Ducati has more power lmfao
Power=torque x rpm.
Great result😁🔥👊🏍️🇮🇹Love it ,Amazing job guys well done ✊🏍️💪💨💨😁
Hey is it worth it getting a new z h2 SE vs a 2020 z h2 with 7k miles on it for 14k USD from a dealer
How do you think the triumph speed triple 1200 rs would've fared? I traded my speed triple 1200 for an MT-10, but that speed triple felt fast!
I wanna see Gsxr1000 amidst these. Thats a damn good bike. Hope they increase its specs for the next iteration.
How about shift cam S1000-RR against Streetfighter v4s?
That shows how good Street Fighter V4 putting down the power and pushing forward, really linear curves thru out rev range. Where ZH2 just here some torque, oh here more torque, you want some more torque
Great series this , loved watching, do the same for 1000cc super sport.
Need to flash dat zh2 as those bikes are restricted a lot stock.
why you didn't compete with MV Agusta Rush?
What king of RST jaquet is it?
I really thought the Kawi would reel it in, but it’s just a Beast to control.
Well i would of lost n bet fair play with Ducati but i still love the looks n sounds of the kwak good competition tho 👌
I've seen a live drag race in our local track and the ZH2 won vs a panigale v4. I've also seen a gsxr1k turbo beat a panigale v4.
Now flash both bikes and race them again see what happens xD
Race them on a proper track😂
ok....in part 1 of this series Zh2 got 10.07sec.. 1/4 mile and in part 2 ducati has 10.53 sec 1/4 mile. so how come Zh2 can't beat ducati here? edit: all Im saying is .... an European bike (ducati) wins a drag race in an European youtube channel. something fishy
Shifting too early, driver is noob
@@NimalYagami all im saying ducati is European .... and by the accent of these guys I can tell they are / this channel is also European. An European bike wins drag race final in an European channel.
Cuz bullshit, dude can't ride
@@MJ-rr4hd they are in favor of Ducati, screw that Kawasaki driver
DA's could change, many variables at play with ET and MPH.
I hit the rev limiter on a sfv4 once. 💩came flying out. It was amazing and terrifying.
Gotta be the best motorcycle channel on yt right now, easy 👏 well done Chris and thank you for keeping us entertained 👌
Thanks!
@@BikeWorldTVshow my request to make cbx1000 inline 6 for dream rides was completely ignored 🥲
sorry but why did you guys never use the launch control, I know that zh2 got one, not sure about the ducati
because it's faster without it
You stayed the Kawasaki is a four cylinder inclined four. Are you sure you're not mistaken as it appears to be a twin parallel twin. Just wondering and looking for clarification. 😮
Ducati has been the best motorcycle maker for a while.... Being part of Volkswagen(Audi) group improved quality and tech a LOT to the point that they are basically unbeatable now.
I personally love the ZH2 that thing is a monster for sure
The drag races are the best videos because the only ones that do it besides Carwow.
Where was the m1000r, why didnt you include it in the race?
It lost in part 2
@@briangc1972 ohh but why not race the zh2, i think its faster than the zh2
@@ismailgashi5073 you need to edit your reply, it does not make sense
Tuned zh2 makes 255hp/150nm - also removing the factory exhaust lowers the weight by 20kg
Good fun that. I’d like to see a 90’s super bike vs its modern equivalent. To literally see how the performance has moved on in 30 years. Pick any maker but say a first Gen Fireblade against Hondas latest? I reckon it will be like going backwards.
They are all great bikes, but only the SD is a match for the sf due to how fun it’s to ride and looks great, but put them side to side and you will find out why you pay more for the Ducati. They are just on a different level.
Yamaha V-Max next. Keep doing these drags!
vs rocket 3 👌🏻 …..vmax win 👍🏻
No rolling start? 😢
A friend of mine asked me why don't I buy a Z H2 being a Kawasaki fan. I told him I don't have a wish to harm myself. As you guys said, it's just stupid raw power.
looks like the fix is in.. show us the 1/4 mile times.. the last time ZH2 did 10.07sec vs SF 10.53secs
That Kawasaki actually did 10.70 not 10.07, we haven’t fixed it.
Don't be salty. Could see the ducati had the sx covered with both riders
@@badassbiker78 not being salty, but you said it was a fix!
@@BikeWorldTVshow I was replying to PLo being salty about it being a fix, not yourself 😂.
Could see that with either rider on board the ducati had the legs on the kawasaki 👍
@@badassbiker78 sorry mate, currently driving and couldn’t see who commented.
As a Ducati owner and fan, I was surprised that the H2, with the advantage of a supercharger, was unable to keep pace with the Ducati after 1st gear. On paper, the H2 has more torque and HP by a wide margin. But Ducati proved again that the proper gearing in the transmission and proper geometry are more important than gross HP numbers. And the icing on the cake is the Ducati styling, pure Italian sexiness.
Is it possible to make it more like the car wow format?
In what way?
Rolling race and brake test :D @@BikeWorldTVshow
I reckon you guys shouldn't have left the M1000R out of this race tho! I believe it would've beaten the Kawa 🤔 it's closer between the Ducati and the Bimmer, than between these two!
I really wanted to see a speed triple 1200 in that race to see what it's capable of 🙃
I think it would get destroyed by those 2 beasts as it does even less WHP than Tuono and S1000R.
