Never ridden the h2 but have ridden the new Busa and I want one. Really good bike. super smooth, super comfortable and super capable. Also keep in mind MCN said the new Busa is the fastest production bike they have ever tested which is a serious statement. Bruce anstein did a 2.6 second 0-60 with all rider aids turned off. Amazing bike I need one.
As a tall rider in my 40s I find the gen 3 hayabusa to be nearly the perfect twisties/SPORT Touring bike out there today. Your comment on the view was spot on. Plenty of power but comfortable for long aggressive rides. The H2 is awesome for an afternoon rip, the Busa is awesome for a multi day trip. I also think the busa being under stressed and naturally aspirated will have much better longevity than the H2, but we will see. I bought the busa, the H2 is an awesome bike to have borrow from a friend for a day or two :)
That H2's sound... good God... The Hayabusa maybe be as competent as it gets, but the H2 is one of the craziest, most unique, most savage bikes ever made. I absolutely love it.
The H2 is so special, I regret selling mine. Even though it was uncomfortable, and the ergos were _weird_ not bad, just a little strange. And the seat had all the padding of a park bench. It's just special.
H2 sound raucous and angry. The Hayabusa sounds civilized with that quiet understated power more than willing to smite thee - if it has to. I'd prefer to live with the big Suzuki.
Interesting review, I test rode the new Hayabusa when they first came available and went on to buy a secondhand H2 SX SE in May. The Suzuki has a smoother engine, slicker gearbox and a 'magic carpet' ride over bumps, it also has a long wheelbase and relatively slow steering so you need to set it up for corners in advance. The riding position is a bit odd, feet feel up and forward and bars relatively low, not painful but a bit 1990's. My Kwak (now with set up suspension & remap) has a motor that feels more urgent than the Suzuki and is at least as strong through the rev range although the box is not as smooth. For a big bike it handles very well, doesn't quite absorb bumps as well but is sharper and more agile. Riding position is more relaxed on the wrists and is more conventional and knder on the knees with lower pegs than the Busa. Equipment levels are very similar but crucially my bike comes with superb Kawaski panniers and also provides a pillion with a better view of what's going on with its stepped seat. I could easiy have gone for the Hayabusa but now I have my H2 set up as I want it I'm glad I saved a few quid and went for that instead as for me its now the sportier and more complete bike.
Liked before watching. Of the two I won't be able to choose. Tough choice. The H2 looks good but would be tiring to ride. Completely the reverse for the Busa.
Thumbs up as usual sir! Don't understand why you got rid of that gixxer though for the H2. I understand it's unique and powerful etc but we both know you'd be faster on any of those roads you ride, or track, on the gixxer!
Thanks for the post Mr. Chops. Both epic bikes, no doubt. For a motorcyclist up to mid-fifties (ish), on good roads (UK??🤔), little traffic restrictions and license-losing speed cameras, it has to be the H2. With aforesaid restrictions, a few more wrinkles and grey hairs and the old rationality spirit barking in to your ears, it’s the Busa, no question. I guess that’s why you’ll end up with a Busa; you know it makes sense.

Just got my Hayabusa about a month ago. I've been very curious about this comparison thank you so much. By the way, who's the one guy so far that gave his video a thumbs down? We should figure out a way to have reviews on the viewers to make sure that they don't get to watch quality content like this. Great video as always keep up the good work!
Two great machines which make it difficult to choose between them. The sensible side of me would say the Busa but the lunatic side of me would say the H2. Awesome bike comparison with great camera angles too. It must take some time editing this footage Chops.....I wouldn't know where to start. 🤣 Great job buddy. 👍😊
Hey Chops, you can tell that your definitely not been paid off by anyone or motorcycle manufacturer. This is why your opinion on just about anything ranks highly in my book. What an interesting review to say the least. Keep plugging away. Your at the top of vlogging, my opinion only, 🍻
The sound of that H2 is something else! But overall the H2 looks like a bit of a clumsy monstrosity compared to the Bugatti-like refinement of the big 'Busa. Maybe I'm getting old but max horsepower isn't everything? wow can't believe I just said that... Thanks for the comparo and your previous review. 👍
I bought a ZX-14 after test riding it and the 'Busa in 2008. That Kawasaki was way more comfortable than the Suzuki, so I bought it to ride 12,000 kms around North America. It was the right choice then, but now I've watched a bunch of 'Busa ride videos - (Chopsie's are the best) I am desperate to go out and test the new Hayabusa ASAP. I haven't owned a Suzuki since my 1980 Dunstall Suzuki 1000 in 1981 (a lightly used '80 model). At my age (69) I'll be happy to leave it stock and quiet. I am so past loud pipes now after several Ducatis...
Oh Mr Chops, what a treat to see this video. I'm still working on the house. I've stopped for a coffee and 23 minutes of H2 and Hayabusa. Clearly very different bikes you've captured each of them wonderfully. The sounds from the H2 😳 however the busa is the one I would choose (I would have one tomorrow if funds allowed). Good work yet again with a top quality video 👍
Have my gen 3 busa a month now and loving it , Just back from Armoy Road races 903 kms journey in 2 days on it & was comfortable , I wouldn’t like to try that trip on a h2 to be honest
Hi Chops from South Africa 🇿🇦. Love the channel and your content. keep us the excellent work bud. the busa does not sound bad with its standard pipes. It looks horrendous, but does not sound bad, especially when it's higher up the range.
The Hayabusa has a stock exhaust while the h2 has a full vandemon exhaust WITH the baffle in. I have a yoshi alpha on my SX and while it's not that loud at a stop, it can get decently loud at higher rpms. I couldn't go for the vandemon just for how much it costs and how loud it is. Cops where I am are pulling people over for noise ordinance violations.
Great video Chops, even if a bit unfair? Standard stock Busa naturally aspirated v super charged heavily modified H2. Chalk and cheese. £25k v £17k? Good to hear your thoughts though. I feel you fancy a Busa?👍😁😁
Brilliant review, chops. The H2 is fantastically pointless and probably not the “better” bike when comparing like for like, but and it’s a big but, it’s the one that gets your heart. Since when has the heart v head question been easy to answer. On every topic the ‘busa is probably “better”, which is why the H2 is such a unique thing and almost unbelievable it even exists. Either way, enjoy!!!! Cheers. 👍👍👍
I've got both. You nailed it. Superbly accurate. Mine's an unplugged 253hp H2. Considering Supercharger step up gears for 300hp+ (stage 3, not 4 as don't need the extra heat, or weight). Good for 300hp without an intercooler & overheating. Amazing. Optional intercooler (from Ben at Extreme Creations just down the road from me in Sydney, Aus), though not really needed as it still stays cool until 300hp+ unless unless you're Eeeb 6 something & his idiot stretched friends. Prefer not to have the extra intercooler weight. No comparison. H2 is wild (every ride is an experience, unlike any other bike), Hayabusa GT could send you into an intercontinental sleepy haystack /armco going to South of France. 100 times more respect for the "serious" H2. Deadly weapon! Demands respect, like an Ak 47. No comfort to ensure there's no drifting off. Best bike ever built (well beyond belief). Keep safe & switched on! H2 - "Are you experienced?!" enough to stay alive?
Awesome vid lol. That H2 is savage & sounds like it's tearing a hole in the fabric of space & time lol. I love the Hayabusa but the H2 is something else. People ask what's the Hayabusa for but a better question is what the hell is the H2 for? Going mind bendingly fast with a brutal soundtrack is the answer.

Excellent, enjoyable vlog as usual. Thanks 👍. It does beggar belief that Suzuki produce a Bugatti Veyronesk, mile munching motorcycle but with no capacity to carry luggage. 🤦
this busa is much more refined than the gen 2 bike ,i would remap the ecu for more linear power delivery for touring and a better roll on feel to it........
One's a brash, muscle bound youngster, possibly on drugs ! The other is James Bond, who can still wrap your arm behind your back and probably do naughty things to your wife when you're not looking ......!
It's a refined but still raw musclebike H2 vs a luxury leir jet of a bike hayabusa. both electronics controlled, both very powerful and fast! but totally different animals! busa is like a truckload of your favorite ice cream. H2 is like jumping off a 500ft cliff but knowing you have a parachute. of course if you put turbo on that busa it would likely beat up the H2 for about same total money.. however it would change the busa into what it half was never meant to be, and take away everything civilized and relaxing about it. great comparison video! 😊 what made the busa famous is being so comfy, so practical, so civilized, yet from any gear any rpm you can go hyper fast!! the H2 famous for that supercharger sound, performance and potential top speed. buy either of these and you better have a tankbag full of donuts for the cops!! 😆

Suzuki should have had the Busa with a turbo or supercharger. Or at least a top of the line version with one that would serve as a halo machine.
The H2 is so much more special.
I was wondering when this would turn up. Nicely done Chops, I'd have both :D

how would the H2R compare against say, a 10 year old Busa running a stage 2 TTS supercharger . thats no doubt a cheaper option than the H2 .
