    This is truly inspiring! I'm in the midst of planning my own affordable Atmos room at my home studio and your videos make me believe it is actually possible without breaking the bank! :)

    You are the person who I have been looking for. You are a thinker, you are a doer, you think outside the box and after watching over 300 Atmos videos, I just discovered your channel.
    Thank you so much !. Liked and Subscribed! Please keep on the topic of speaker placement.

    Hi! I've seen you didn't make videos in a while, but let me tell you did an awesome job. You teach a lot of great and creative audio information. You inspired me and I believe you inspired a lot of viewers on UA-cam and when the met you in person at your studio. Thanks, for giving us such incredible videos and whether you are not a using mac based sistem you still have a lot to teach us.

      Thanks, I appreciate that. It was fun to make these videos, but I started to feel I can't keep up with what people are now doing with Mac-based systems.

    Great Job! I'm currently navigating the same challenges. Lighting Trusses seem to be the way to go.

    Another great video! I am learning so much from you. I was thinking of adding Atmos...and your videos made me take the plunge. I too am on a show-string budget, but in the next few days, will be Atmos ready. It is a work in progress,, but I can`t wait to start listening to Atmos mixes. Next step will be mixing Atmos in Cubase. Thanks again!

    Hey hope you are doing well! Im in my journey to create my test atmos environment, i start researching a lot and i end in your channel!, finally some one is sharing great stuff on practical things we can deploy to test the waters without going for a second mortgage ;) At this moment im digging in my old stuff getting all the components for my own Frankenstein Atmos rig project! BTW your setup looks cool. Thank you a lot for all the information, it really help me. BTW my idea is to explore Atmos prod and mix for hiphop, trap and "Latin Urban" music, in particular creating remixes for Immersive video clips and youtube visualizers, they are so popular in those genres. Best Regards from Santiago Chile!

    Thanks for the video. How were you able to rip the atmos mix into discrete wav files in your project at 6:04?

    • @balladeerstudio
      @balladeerstudio  Рік тому

      Thank you. I played the track from Tidal through my Atmos-enabled receiver/processor, then fed the 7.1.4 channels into Cubase on a 7.1.4 track. It's a single WAV file that is multi-channel.

      @@balladeerstudio Thanks for the info. I'm trying to avoid buying a separate piece of hardware and am trying to set it up using the method in Production Expert's "How to listen to Dolby Atmos Without Costly Hardware."

    Great video! I’m the midst of my own Dolby Atmos set up using mostly what I have in my studio (video soon to come)
    But quick question, how did you get the stems for the Billie Ellish song??

    • @balladeerstudio
      @balladeerstudio  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for asking. I didn't have the stems. I captured the 7.1.4 output from my Atmos AV processor.

      @Leo.Brodie Рік тому

      @@o.g.willing My audio interface is a Steinberg UR-824, which is 8x8. It connects via ADAT cable to a Digimax DP88 which adds 8 more ins and outs. Both units are obsolete but work fine.

      @@Leo.Brodie Thank you for your answer! I am thinking of using two pieces of Scarlet 18i20 connected via ADAT. How did you manage to overcome lack of controller problem. How do you controll gain of all 12 speakers ? (are you on MAC or Windows) ? Thanks again

      @@o.g.willing That sounds like a great way to go. None of what I'm doing in these videos is ideal, but I describe calibratiing the 12 speakers in my video "Affordable Atmos Mixing Room". Later I purchased SoundID Reference for Multichannel, which is great.

    What's your experience on pointing the height speakers downwards? Will it make the sweet spot smaller?

    I just love this channel - sharing experience and knowledge in a down to earth way.
    Thinking about setting up the Atmos speakers etc why not invite people to send in one or three photos of their set up and a short description which you can present maybe at the end of each video. Or maybe do a special view system video. "Steve Gutenberg Audiophiliac" has this for 2 channel listening systems and it's highly appreciated. Not everybody makes the effort to create a UA-cam channel but many do want to share their experience. Keep up the good work!
