I really appreciate your content. I have been suffering from LPR Gerd for five months. Doctors have given me heavy duty antibiotics, two times, steroids, ppl’s. I went to a lovely Naturopath, she did blood work, put me on probiotics, and Unda 243 drops. I changed my diet to be very alkaline, with lots of greens, eat two meals a day, no snacking. I was low in B 12 so I’m taking that now. I’m focusing on eating more slowly. She asked me lots of questions and made a few lifestyle changes. No alcohol, no coffee or caffeinated tea. As long as I stay with my clean diet my symptoms are gone. How simple is this instead of all those drugs. I believe the medical doctors need to learn how to be wellness coaches in order for people to maintain their health. Your videos are fabulous and thank you for all the good that you are doing. I am 76 and take no meds., just D3 and B12. We must be our own advocate for our health. Also, even though my stress is all good stuff, I have learned to reduce some of the socializing. I play the piano, do yoga, quilt, read and spend most of my life outdoors and more time myself. Thanks. Linda from Turks and Caicos and Canada
No more worries on what food to eat or drink. My wife and I and some of our friends were able to treat and got rid of acid reflux by eating fruits such as red apple delicious and Fuji apples and so far after several years the problem never came back. To ensure success eat an apple for a few days.
Success story... I have serious health issues that my family doctor could never even put a name on much less a treatment program... I started KETO and researching this on my own, I have been an auto mechanic for 30+ years - so I just applied the same process that I would use to diagnose a car problem. I have been watching Dr. Berg's videos for around 6 months now, and he has been a life saver in educating me as to how to improve and pin point my condition. I am saying a literal life saver - I was slowly dying from what started 2 years ago as acid reflux, which blocked my body's ability to absorb many nutrients basically - I was starving to death while I was gaining weight from poor diet. I expect that it will take years to get my full health back, but I continue to learn from Dr. Berg and I see a continuing improvement in my condition. Thank you, Dr. Berg for generously sharing your wealth of knowledge.
@@narelleworks8448 I am still learning the exact processes, substitutes, and recipes at this point, so it should be an interesting journey. By the 2nd or third month I should be very comfortable with it as well, so as to not be "accidentally" back sliding any more. ;) Great idea Narelle!!
My wife watched some of your videos and decided to start doing some of the requirements for the keto diet such as cutting out all sugar and bread plus not eating if your not hungry and after 3 weeks she has lost 22 pounds . I should also add she started drinking the ACV and half the juice from 1 lemon in place of her green tea drink . She still has a way to go but her energy level has gone thru the roof and she for some reason always has a smile on her face and happy . We are also taking advice on other things you have suggested such as D3 and the back pain she has suffered with for 40 years is almost gone . We would both like to thank you for what you do .
Try eating red apples to get rid of hyper-acidity or acid reflux. Me and my wife used red apples to get rid of acid reflux. The problem never came back.
I realize, these posts are from a year ago. I am curious why gerd would begin at the perimenopause stage. My mother has stomach issues, as well, from high acid. Thank you for the posts. I cut sugar. Now, the bread needs to go. Been eating ambrosia apples lately. I hope, it helps. 😊
I had acid reflux that was keeping me up at night. I haven’t been able to change my stress levels so much, but I cut down carbohydrates to 10% of my calorie intake and I feel so much better. Cutting down sugar and grain has been the best thing I’ve ever done
I have changed my eating habits. Tbh, I have cut down on carbs and grains and some citrus due to reflux acid. I also have anxiety and panic as well. The problem is I get bloating issues which makes me uncomfortable. I asked my gastro and he told me to avoid gassy foods. So now I have to avoid a few veggies as well. The bloating is what I struggle the most.
We may not be able to change the stress in our lives. But the important thing is how we handle that stress. We have to learn to control our thoughts, which affects our emotions.
Dr berg is literally the only Doc who actually confirms what I’m feeling and doesn’t make me pay health insurance to end up researching how to cure my own symptoms
You have help me in many ways and I thank the most High for you. My first experience with your site was I had gallbladder problem and I was scheduled for surgery but because of you no surgery and no more pain. 2.UTI issues get the D-manose no more problem. 3. Started having pain underneath my feet did the exercise it was planters fasciitis and I’m better now. Thank you so much Dr Berg.
To each their own, in my case I was using Omeprazole for 10 years. I started having half a teaspoon of Apple Cider Vinegar before each meal for 2 months - then stopped both the pill and ACV. I never had my usual heartburn problems since then, it's been 8 years.
I must say this man makes sense. I have had digestive issues and mostly diarrhea for almost a year. Not to mention a fatty liver, which I discovered via a blood test that I paid for out of pocket. Listen to what this guy is teaching you It's valuable. I lost 10 lbs in 16 days following his advice fasting and getting off sugar. Among other things.
I have no words to thank you. I can just say God bless you.I used to have sever GERD I followed all you said now no more Pepcid or other anti acid med.
Oh my goodness all the issues which causes Acid reflux was exactly for me. Last year was suffering from acid reflux to a point that I could not eat properly, lost significant weight due that and the fact that I was stressed out due to personal issues. My Vit D levels were down to 6.4 ng/ML (yeah damn low), started on ACV as advised by Dr Berg and started taking Vit D supplements (60,000 IU per week for initial days followed by every 15 days). My acid reflux is now a history :)
@@tineegonzales7365 Initially when acid reflux was at peak I used to take twice daily 15-20 min before food. I would have one table spoon in lukewarm water along with some honey (for taste). Tip - If you planning for daily consumption use straw as ACV will erode teeth enamel.
Thank you. I have tried everything, none of my doctors listen or they stare and gaslight me. I have been sent on multiple referrals that are weeks to months apart, til I get exhausted then I quit going. It’s a waste to pay forced health insurance. This gives me a better understanding on how it works.
Thank you Dr. Berg. There was so much to learn from you to heal my reflux condition. No doctor has ever given that sort of explanation and tips about any of our health issues. You are the BEST doctor I’ve come across. I am following your videos with interest because I know they are helping me to take control of my health problems in a huge way. Thank you so much for your kindness.
My sister has been in the hospital for now counting 11 days . Doctors seem baffled of her condition. Your video sounds exactly what she told me of symptoms. They are looking into pancreatitis . The nurses took her blood so many times she's a pin cushion .Can't wait when she's released . They are over medicating her. Will show her this video. Thanks for videos !
I have had GERD for as long as I can remember. At age 10 I started gaining weight, had all kinds of stomach issues, and even though I did eat homemade meals that both my mom and I believed to be healthy, I consumed lots of carb and yeast feeding foods. Plus, growing up with asthma and a weak immune system, I did at least two rounds of antibiotics a yr! This led to a huge Candida bacteria overgrowth! I have all the signs. My acid reflux led to me being diagnosed with Vocal Chord Dysfunction. This causes a choking sensation and wheezing in my throat. I wish I knew more about killing candida before this condition developed and started destroying my life! Now, I am taking Caprylic Acid, Probiotics, Ox Bile, lots of vitamins, and trying to clean up my diet. I am 100 lbs overweight and I do have a Hiatal Hernia as well. I believe one day, I'll beat this. But it's going to be a lifelong battle. Doctors wanted me on Prilosec or maybe even have Nissen Fundoplication surgery. But I'm trying more natural solutions first! We need more of these awesome videos! Thank you!
If you have a hiatal hernia, you MUST get it surgically repaired. The diaphragm is damaged, The upper esophageal valve no longer works as it should. How do you know you have a hiatal hernia? Your diet and supplements will indeed fix your problems. However, if the valve is dilated by being obstructed through the diaphragm, it will no properly close. Therefore resulting in GERD.
I had severe stress which along with a poor diet, caused low stomach acid which led to sibo/candida, food intolerances and then hashimotos hypothyroidism. By simply taking betaine hcl, digestive enzymes and some soil based probiotics, I managed to cure myself. Look after your gut guys!!! I now do intermittent fasting to reduce my estrogen dominance and insulin resistance due to menopause.
@@vijaykishore2968 do you mean you have pain after taking acv? According to Dr. Berg , that means you have an ulcer on stomach. He suggested taking zinc carnosine to heal ulcer .
This man is out of his world... World is blessed to have you Dr berg, I'm writing this In tears cuz acid reflux has ruined my life and by hearing your informative healing voice I'm healed already.
@@Drberg This is WRONG! Your diagram of the stomach (0:05) is not accurate at all. The stomach on the opposite side to the exit is a hanging POUCH, and the exit of the stomach is quite a bit higher than that pouch (0:39). The pouch holds food that is being digested. The stomach is a muscle. When the food is digested and ready to move to the intestine, the stomach starts contracting to push the food out the exit. Reflux happens when the acidic food is driven UP the esophagus by this contraction. With our modern overeating, that pouch can become stretched, and hangs lower, so when the contraction happens, the direction the acidic food is pushed is UP the esophagus, not across the stomach and then out as it is supposed to do. To deal with this, when an individual starts to get acid reflux, the person has to lean over on their right side to get that pouch HIGHER than the exit. Then start massaging their abdomen from lower left, moving up to just below the ribcage, then across to the right, pushing quite strongly into the abdomen as they do it. This is to push the food out of the now higher pouch towards the exit end of the stomach. Do this until the reflux stops, it might take 5 or 6 strokes. If the reflux starts again, repeat. There might be 5 or 6 reflux episodes, each one going away with the massaging. After a few months, this pouch will reverse it stretched size, get back to normal, and acid reflux will go away, and you will almost never get it. A WARNING! Dont use over the counter alkali antacids, like Rolaids or Tums. The recipe for all forms of concrete is alkali + klinker + substrate. eg Portland cement uses caustic soda + a manufactured klinker + sand or gravel. Roman concrete used slaked lime + volcanic ash + sand or gravel. If you take antacids due to a strong reflux event, the acid-burned fiber in your stomach becomes a good klinker, unburned fiber is a good substrate, and the antacid is the alkali. When that slurry gets to the large intestine, and the water is removed, it can form a very real block of concrete. This is known as a fecal stone/fecal lith. At minimum it will abrade the lining of the large intestine, causing colitis, swelling of the intestine, and a bowel obstruction from the swelling, and/or from the stone lodging and not moving. Straining very hard to move things through can cause back pressure that can produce Diverticulitis. At worst this stone can perforate the bowel, which needs emergency medical treatment, and can be fatal.
@@BrazilianBikini38 your name does not give a clue to how much you know. Thanks for all the info. Will not be taking antacid tablets again. Will read again to take on board the rest.
Gallbladder removed in 2015. Since then, acid reflux crippled me. Long story short, I found you and started a huge change in my life. Now I'm taking your gallbladder formula (bile supplement) and eating only once daily. I took out all sugar. Eating raw fruits and vegetables. I do eat salmon once a week as well. I experienced less acid stomach but still had issues until I added sour kraut and apple cider vinegar to my daily meal. Instantly notice a difference. I feel amazing. No more acid pain. I can sleep at night and wake refreshed. what I find odd is that my doctor never told me to take bile salts after gallbladder removal. Thank you for empowering me with knowledge on how to live a healthier life.
Thank you for this video, although my acid reflux is somewhat gone, this information is really helpful! Ive been doing omad for a week and it does wonders and having fasted for 2 days does wonders to my body. My blood pressure meds is the reason why i got acid reflux and ive been changing my lifestyle because of that, i dont want to take the meds anymore so i just eat healthy and do something that makes my body happy. It was also the anniversary of me quitting smoking 3 days ago so i feel like i accomplished alot this year.
I'm 16 years old and a few months ago I had the problem. I had ecg and a blood test and they was all fine. It eventually went away. About a week and a half ago it came back . I struggle to sleep and it feels like a heat/ constant nagging pain is in my chest. Sometimes I get a striking pain near my heart. Sometimes I feel the need to burp loads but I can't. Sometimes I feel sick with it dizzy and hot. I've tried multiple things and none have worked yet. I also haven't been hungry in days. Does this sound like I've got reflux and if so what's the best thing I should do as I'm sick of this now
@@harvey9750 I don’t know. Very peculiar. I wonder if you’ve got some type of parasite. It probably won’t hurt for you to do a parasite detox. Probably wanna get some b vitamins, vitamin d, and others since you may be deficient, doctors don’t test for this normally. But keep going to different doctors until you can find an answer.
You totally helped me with my acid reflux. After years of seeing doctors for the many issues it caused, simply drinking apple cider vinegar brought me back to life. Thank you very much. Best to you.
DR. Burg is so incredible!!!! He explains things that 99% of medical doctors don't even know to tell their patients Dr Berg needs to educate medical doctors on what to tell their patients instead of just prescribing a medicine and kicking you out of an office very quickly they never get to the bottom of how to fix something and they have no clue about what health is really about and I thank you so much Dr Berg because I learned so so much from you❤❤❤👍👍👍
You are right doctors today are so quick to put you on a pill. They should try listening and helping you get better instead of covering the problem up with meds.
I think doctors do that because they know that the patient won't quit bad habits. They lie to them so that hurts their (our docs) souls. Quit lying. It's a sin and not everybody lies so quit lying all you poopers. Yes, I'll try not to eat food anymore and feel like I'm syarving all the time. Ppi's are awful. I hope you get off them. I still have acid.
thank you Dr.Berg i had ulcers since i was 17yo , no doctor explained to me like you do , now i am 56yo and still suffering from gerd and acid reflux .
I had acid reflex very slightly a couple of times. By chance I had an upper endoscopy for another reason. They found stage one esophageal cancer. It saved my life. That was 13 years ago. If you or anyone you love has acid reflux an upper endoscopy has a chance of saving their life. Esophageal cancer is almost always fatal and you will have no symptoms until it’s too late.
That's scary, but I don't think if you ever have a hiccup of some acid that it's cancer. Cancer scare is everywhere, obviously you won't notice it until you do and you can get it anywhere in the body.
Purdue did you see a gastroenterologist or an ENT specialist to get your endoscopy done? I need to get that done my symptoms are so bad I’m having breathing problems at night and am sure I have scar tissue/ narrowing of the esophagus when breathing out.
Thank you. Dr Eric. I am 62 year old . And don’t take any medicine. One hour yoga and eat only two meals a day 16 to 17 hours without food. My health is very good. Thank you.

Dr. Berg I salute you for all the free content you put out. I suffer from anxiety and bad throat tight feeling and your videos are being my guide right now. I don't wish this on anyone tbh. I had acid reflux and took omeprazole for years. A little bit of fasting and it's COMPLETELY gone. I thought i wouldn't even be able to fast because when I'd get really hungry i would have more acid churning in my stomach, but it helped it instead!!. It's been gone for over a year. So thankful.
@@Endless.embrace if i remember correctly it stopped the first few weeks. I did 18/6 fasts 5 days a week. And i just pushed through the acid reflux in the beginning. It wasn't near as bad as I expected it to be. It was less and less then just gone. I did quit fasting for several months, and when i drank lot's of coffee or had acidic things it started bothering me again. So, I went back to light IF fasting and throw in a 24 hour fast every now and then and it's taken care of it. I took omeprazole for years and still had issues. Can't tell you how many times i had to sleep sittung up! So thankful to be off meds and not dealing with it anymore. I'm really amazed that fasting helped. I hope you can find relief. :)
I used to suffer from terrible digestion. Then I changed job and it miraculously cleared up. I can only attribute it to the fact that in my old job I used to buy these crappy meal deals, drink lots of diet coke and wolf my food down in a hurry. I literally went from someone who took antacid after every meal, to someone who takes them twice a year, just from cutting out that one unhealthy eating routine from my day. I would also note that during the pandemic I have been very mindful to take supplements especially Vitamin D. (Deficiencies have been linked to far worse outcomes.) As a result my general health has improved. Now I just need to start eating more cruciferous veg!

Doing intermittent fasting and avoiding dinners has helped me massively. Edit: I'm actually doing OMAD with 1600-1800 calories involving chicken wings, cheese and some veggies. When I fasted I skipped breakfast and my acid reflux disappeared as well. I think it is just the fasting that does it, whether it’s skipping breakfast or skipping dinner.

I had horrific intermittent bouts with acid reflux. For some intuitive reason I tried eating apples in order to quell it. It worked miraculously well. I found the best case, in an emergency, for me, is to eat 3, 4, or 5 of those small organic unwaxed apples, chewing the skins well. Over the counter remedies don't even come close. I've never heard any doctor mention this, outside of drinking apple cider vinegar.
The severity of the disease is distinguished according to the severity of the symptoms, where the symptoms of mild illness usually appear twice a week, moderate illness symptoms appear more than twice a week, and severe illness symptoms appear every day. If alarming signs appear, such as: swallowing disorders, weight loss, bleeding, and anemia, it is necessary to refer to a doctor immediately.
Thanks Dr Eric. My mom is 78 yrs old. She was diagnosed with acid reflux. I took your recommendation as the prescribed drugs did not work. She is recovering nicely. I love the way you explain the causes, and treatment. Thank you.

Acid reflux is caused by low stomach acid, the cure is SALT. Salt contains the raw materials to produce strong acidic stomach acid. Whenever your acid reflux plays up fill a glass of water a put in 1 teaspoon of salt, mix it and drink till it becomes disgusting as if it was on food. If you're low on salt it'll actually taste good. Salt is the cure for acid reflux, what you're doing now is maintaining your problem, not finding the source and curing it

I watch a lot of your shows and I praise you for the correct info you give out . I've learned a lot about my health problems that I don't hear from my doctors. Thank you
I haven’t had heartburn since going on keto (3 months). Then I did some heavy gardening this past week, and my heartburn got really bad (while shoveling compost). I realized that stress, mental or physical, could lower my stomach acid resulting in my heart burn. But I am experiencing heartburn again today which alarms me (I’m not exercising). So now I’m watching all of your videos to see what can help me since I’m still doing keto. Just a couple of minutes in this video I realize that low potassium can cause low stomach acid. And low stomach acid can limit the absorption of potassium.... so I would have to take a lot more potassium, more than recommended, to help build stomach acid to then in turn absorb more potassium. Now it all makes sense. I think you said in a past video that if you are exercising you should take more electrolytes. Now I know why! Thank you Dr. Berg for all of your videos!
Hello Doctor, your suggestions and reasons for acidity, other gastric disorders are perfectly correct. Twice in this one year I have has severe gastric attacks, I still follow a very simple -no oil diet, however I do face acidity issues at times. Please suggest. Many thanks 😀
I experienced major acid reflux some 15 years ago and after trying all the over the counter products (that worked temporarily at best) I began drinking Aloe Vera juice (and not the sweetened/cut drinks). It tastes like dirty socks (add a bit of cranberry juice) but after a months time, it healed me and has never come back. My Doctor even began prescribing it to other patients as an inexpensive alternative.
Am hoping Kefir, by Dr. Berg's standards, is a good source for the liquid Probiotics. Absolutely love the stuff so, fingers crossed. Am also trying to compile all I need & want to do for various issues & to definitely purchase through Dr. Berg's shop as it's nice to feel I can trust him & his sources of everything, so --- I've been super busy! :-D So wonderful that Dr. Berg shares *so much* with us, even when we thought we were pretty well-versed on some of it already. The *only* negative is that it saddens & angers me that medical schools still do *not* teach good nutrition & still 'blow off' how important the gall bladder is, as if it's gone the way of the appendix! Thanks for *everything* , Dr. Berg!

The best remedy as Dr Berg said is IF as it tends to give the digestive system a chance to recover. Moreover, I add crushed gloves to my tea after each meal ( I take 2 a day). It helps a lot with acid reflex.
Changed my diet to keto three weeks ago and no more meds for acid reflux. I notice doctors are not pushing the correct diets for patients, still saying don't eat saturated fats etc. but they are pumping out prescriptions. Something needs to be done in the medical world.
I like the video. I've gone through long periods of excessive heartburn, & this is consistent with the different ways I've found relief. I've never been diagnosed w Acid Reflux, but everything covered here consolidated down into a 10m video w explanations & examples of potential remedy, I think this is an invaluable resource... Especially when an aggressive plan of action involves some things that are just counterintuitive at face value - e.g., an acid used to relieve acid reflux. It seems like the last thing one might want to do, but it's not. It works...rather effectively too.

Thank you!
How are you now?
If you have a hiatal hernia, you MUST get it surgically repaired.
The diaphragm is damaged,
The upper esophageal valve no longer works as it should.
How do you know you have a hiatal hernia?
Your diet and supplements will indeed fix your problems.
However, if the valve is dilated by being obstructed through the diaphragm, it will no properly close. Therefore resulting in GERD.
🙏

Wow 🤩 so inspiring. Thank you so very much for sharing this wildly.
Thank You ! Berg. I am a fun of you.
Watching your interesting videos helped
me to feel better and and have more energy. I have been doing intermittent fasting 16/ 7 for the past 4 months and had good results. I am 20 pounds lighter,
my stiffness of all my fingers, gone.
I have been avoiding processed foods, rice, bread, pasta, beans, cheese, pork, and beef. Only drink coffee, tea, and lemon water and smoothies.
I am on my 70's, retired RN, not on any maintenance medication and enjoy gardening and watching all your interesting videos. It is fascinating how
our body works inside. Fasting had made me changed the way I look at food. Surprisingly I do not feel hungry
like before.
I cannot say thank you enough for all you do.
im on ppi with years started taking apple cider vinger lately big big improvement buy make sure and take it with water please ,great man great advice doc
My husband went to the doctor today for acid reflux and guess what he prescribes Prilosec. He told him he's not taking it! I will use Dr Berg's remedy. Thank you for what you do.
Doing intermittent fasting and avoiding dinners has helped me massively.
Edit: I'm actually doing OMAD with 1600-1800 calories involving chicken wings, cheese and some veggies.
Occasionally if I feel cute I fast once or twice a week, I've been losing pounds, helping me get control of eating portions and cravings.
I have just stopped eating dinner. Taking in food past 4 pm seems to be my poison.
When I fasted I skipped breakfast and my acid reflux disappeared as well. I think it is just the fasting that does it, whether it’s skipping breakfast or skipping dinner.
@@WTFmateDarthNoob especially skipping dinner, friend. I too stopped it. Vomitting, stomach aches and 16 hour long battles with pain are gone.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Lol!! If you feeling cute huh? Lol
Hi Dr Berg, I`m 70 yrs old, these last few yrs because of covid its made me lazy i put on a lot of weight mostly around my stomach and i reached 16 stone, my arms and legs are not fat and i think i looked a bit odd and out of shape, i suffered from reflux and woke up in the morning more than once, choking, which was a bit scary, i`d heard about intermittent fasting and the enormouse benefits from doing it, and decided to try it along with an hours walk as often as possible, most mornings, in the last 6 weeks i have lost 1 stone and no longer suffer from reflux as severely as before and am feeling much better, i eat less, less often , i need to sort out my diet , but i`m getting there, thankyou for all your advice Dr, it helps!!.
Thank you Dr Berg. You are a lifesaver. You love humanity. ❤❤

As someone who's dealt with this I want to say thank you for the info doc. Blessings to you!!
Keto took care of my issues with this. This causes esophageal erosion which leads to esophageal cancer. My father died 2 years ago from this. He constantly ate tums, etc to combat it. There you have it.
Had a family member also self-medicate with Tums. By the time they operated cancer had spread from esophagus to stomach. Fatal.

Keto cured mine completely so I haven't had the problem for well over a year . I had to sleep sitting upright almost every night and take bentonite clay in water......good video Doc so thank you and God bless.

I'm so glad to hear that!
Thank you so much Dr Eric.I learnt so much from this as I m going to pass to my husband as he has very bad GERD n couldnot sleep for few days, high heart burn .Now felt better n will follow ur instruction.
Dr berg is a very able person I listen his lecture , so he is a one of the Dr
The severity of the disease is distinguished according to the severity of the symptoms, where the symptoms of mild illness usually appear twice a week, moderate illness symptoms appear more than twice a week, and severe illness symptoms appear every day.

I love these videos, packed with information and short. I go back and watch them many times ~ Thank you Dr. Berg for your help to all of us!!!!

Dr Berg you're an amazing knowledgeable teacher to us lay people and certainly to doctors who are able to put their arrogance aside to learn from you.
Wow!! So glad I did not have surgery. Thank you for all this information.
I cured mine immediately by giving up alcohol - been off it for 2 weeks now and haven't had any indigestion - will try a sneaky wine in a week or so and see what happens
That’s what I’m trying first. Getting off this booze for like a month to see!
I wish we had more Doctors like you.
Stuff like this should be taught in school. Much of what kids are taught needs to be re thought for the times we live in.
Thank you for all the information. I have all the conditions. Ulcers, gastritis, small sliding hiatal hernia, and gerd as a result.
Dr. Berg gives the best and health information out here......his videos worked miracles for me when I wanted to reduce weight. Best notes:
1. Reduce intake of artificial sugars, carbs and starch
2. Interminent fasting
3. Exercise
4. Try keto diet
They say fat can aggravate acid reflux, is this true?
I have a gastric ulcer and have suffered from Acid Reflux for years; In the end my Doctor put me on omeprazole 20 mg (Acimax). They come in 30's. I take one at night after tea, and never need to take anything else. They are 100% amazing.
Thanks to Dr. Berg I feel better. I’ve been drinking apple cider vinegar as recommended and my digestion has improved tremendously in only a few days. The main benefit is having to eat less. I don’t know how it works but it does. I always felt full and hungry before, now it’s so much better! Thank you so much for your great advice!
I have Acid Reflux when I am overeating and stress Thanks Dr Berg
I have been on Lansaprazole for 10years because of gerd. I have started intermittent fasting and I haven’t taken one since. I do occasionally take an antacid if I have overdone it, but apart from that, everything is fine and I have lost weight.
Mike what time do you eat your last meal?
Was on Omeprazole, awful side effects . Now on Mastika , Slippery Elm and the wonderful Liqourice root . Helping tremendously at the moment !
Thank you very much Dr. Berg! I have had GERD and hiatal hernia for over 4 years now and have been on Keto for 3 years now but lately have been having lots of issues all of a sudden and so happy to see this video to hopefully help me solve my recent problem of it flaring up pretty bad this past 3 weeks.
I hope you’re feeling better now. Last week I was having same issues, stomach ache, bloating and food not being digested and I even threw up one day. When I drink some juice like acidic I feel better and I literally feel my food going down. Idk what this is.

Thank you Doctor Berg! You are so helpful to mankind, you have helped almost 1 billion people with your knowledge and advice! I had "heartburn" for decades and took antacids for relief. After receiving my education from Dr. Berg, I started healthy Keto, intermittent fasting, drinking lemon/acv, taking Dr. Berg's vitamin D3&K2, Nutritional Yeast and cod liver oil. I have not had heartburn since. More importantly my blood pressure went from hypertension stage II to normal. I think it is criminal for big pharma to peddle their poison, when the true solution is proper nutrition. Thank you Dr. Berg for the education and prolific videos, you work tirelessly for us!
How long were you on keto before you noticed symptoms improving and how did you use ACV? My heartburns are killing me.
@@lullabygoodbye25 I don't think Keto had anything to do with the improvement to acid reflux. It is counter intuitive, but you need acid to correct acid reflux. I drink 2 ounces of ACV, 2 ounces lemon juice with honey mixed in a glass of water daily. The taste is not the best, but it beats the burn. Hope you find relief.
@@danblessing2392 when do you drink ACV? before or after meals? Together with lemon juice?
@@danwang5240 Hey Dan! I mix ACV, lemon juice 2 ounces each, raw unfiltered honey in a glass of water. Not the most pleasant drink, but better than "heartburn". I experimented with different times of day. It didn't seem to matter with me. Everybody is different. I feel the important thing is to try to keep your stomach acidic. It seems counter intuitive, but I guess you have to fight acid with acid. To your health...
@@danblessing2392 Thank you very much. I will try that too. The there are all good stuff, so to the health :)
I’ve got Barrett’s oesophagus, I have to take lansoprazole.

Luckily my father survived and glad mine was caught early.
I am a 62 year old and have followed much of your advice for the correct supplements and food recommendations. I was diagnosed with familial high cholesterol and took statins for 6 weeks,, which led to sero-neg. RA (supposed to run in families, but not my fam!) and a host of autoimmune issues. I am now med free, fit, & my blood work blew my doc away. It was perfect and I feel great now. DON'T EVER TAKE STATINS! Thank you Dr Berg, you turned my life around!!!
Thanks Doc !
I started to have acid reflux on and off.
So I would occasionally skip dinners or just have some curds (yogurt ). Helped me greatly.
I usually eat early and have a lighter dinner. I also sleep with about 3 pillows to keep upper body at an incline. Midnight onwards I get back to sleeping normally on my left side.
I used to do so exactly. But it ends when I changed my diet. Vegetarian Keto Keto with more Greens than ever before. And Greatly CUT the Carbs.
Salt is the cure for acid reflux, what you're doing now is maintaining your problem, not finding the source and curing it
island how legitimate is the advice you're giving?
I'm 16 years old and a few months ago I had the problem. I had ecg and a blood test and they was all fine. It eventually went away. About a week and a half ago it came back . I struggle to sleep and it feels like a heat/ constant nagging pain is in my chest. Sometimes I get a striking pain near my heart. Sometimes I feel the need to burp loads but I can't. Sometimes I feel sick with it dizzy and hot. I've tried multiple things and none have worked yet. I also haven't been hungry in days. Does this sound like I've got reflux and if so what's the best thing I should do as I'm sick of this now
@@harvey9750 I think you have anxiety. It’s ok, I have it too, but I can assure you that there is nothing wrong with your heart, especially since you’ve had an ECG. If you can stop worrying so much, I think most of your symptoms will cease.
The other day when I had an acid reflux episode instead of taking my usual heartburn solution, I remembered these videos then squeazed and gargled fresh lemon juice then swallowed it, it worked quite well , the throat irritation went away immediately and I had no more stomac issues for the night, so it seems more acid is the real solution.
Ive been on keto for one month now and mine has got worse also got some gout that I've never had before in my life..but I'm sticking with it for now.

How are you now?

How much oloe vera juice did you drink & how many times per day?
Am hoping Kefir, by Dr. Berg's standards, is a good source for the liquid Probiotics. Absolutely love the stuff so, fingers crossed.

So wonderful that Dr.
Berg!

Did you find any relief in PPIs and how did you incorporate ACV in your diet to see any results in less heartburns?
Is all doing good now?

@@pavanpabbireddypavanpabbir1897 - sure; essentially, I:
- Increased activity to where I lost approx. 10lbs. over ~6mo; so, not a lot...at all...
- My work schedule shifted to where I had to wait approx 2-3hrs 3 days a week before I could eat my normal breakfast
- I began taking a daily multivitamin w ~1/2 a glass of water
- & I began drinking concentrated lemon juice; approx. 1 Oz before dinner every couple of nights...to now, about ~2-3 Oz every other day, usually w/food; but food/nonfood, it doesn't matter so much anymore...(?)
- I did NOT use a PPI because I have some sort of edema-like reaction to it; so, I used & on rare occasion still do use Tagamet... it's not for everyone, but it works for me...(?)
- As for Apple Cider Vinegar, I tried; I really tried...but even the capsules, I just couldn't get passed the taste...it's truly horrendous (imho)
Those are the only changes of any significance that I can think of that rid me of chronic (nightly) heartburn. I still get heartburn on rare occasion, but it's Tagamet, & a strict regimented return to the above... usually that just means more lemon juice for a while...
I'm not recommending anyone immediately try it themselves w/o doctors consult, but that seems to be what worked for me...(?)
Very good information. Stress is the culprit for me. Whenever I cannot sleep I experience heart burn.
