Hi,Steave.I was on Pantropazole on and off for years . Last summmer I've had severe acid reflux attack, unable to breath, lost my voice for two weeks and went to hospital, emergecy room, four times in the month of June, also lost 38 lb. ENT doctors did not help me . Watching your videos and taking ACV twice a day, now six moths later,I am of my medication, and relief from GERD and feel GREAT. THANK YOU.
Hey! I've been suffering from GERD all my life. I am willing to learn more about how you introduced this in your routine, what were the reaction and ilk. It could help me heal, emulating from your journey, if you are fine with it. Could we speak on some other platform, extensively on this?
I've learned way more from this video than from actual doctors. This guy speaks in such a detailed yet easy to digest manner. It's like a really good instructor you'd have in college.
I had serious reflux issues years ago. I was scoped, put on meds etc… Several years ago I went Keto and slowly transitioned to Carnivore, with this lifestyle I started the ACV routine. I’m down to 1-2 shots per week and never felt better. Reflux is a distant memory. Thanks for sharing your story.
I was on ompersole for many years and I eneded up having over 14 polyps and 5 large ones they came from the medicine thank God I had no cancer ones years later I went back had only 2 polyps been over 3 yes have not returned for another scope but will have to do so to keep checking but since then I had only taking that ompersole ever other day now on the days I day one iam getting heartburn from taking the pill so I started drinking raw kombucha and it seems to help thank God I would get heartburn Gerd so bad I thought I could shoot out fires like a dragon celery seems to claim it down also milk and dry crackers
You’re right, I started taking it 2-3 weeks ago. I stop taking any kind of medication, my doctor says don’t eat or drink anything 3-5 hours before going to bed. I was very upset at myself because there’s no cure and he also mentioned eat less, I started to study more of my symptoms which was GERD. Drink 1 tablespoon add less 1/8 cup of water twice daily. I see improvements after 3 days and now I can eat anything I want like normal people but of course I still be careful. So glad to read about you who have symptoms and ideas. I say this because “ Only people who have GERD symptoms knows other people sufffers from GERD and doesn’t need to explain. Thank you.
I'm 2 weeks in taking Apple cider vinegar. I can honestly say that my chronic gord symptoms have disappeared. Thank you so much for providing actually real advice. I'll be passing this information onto my Dad who also suffers the same condition.
how many times in a day do you drink this tonic? Do you mix the tonic with water in a cup of glass or your just drink an amount of this mix that is showned in the video?
I'm a health professional. Was having GERD symptoms with laryngeal spasms at night. It was frightening to suddenly lose my ability to breathe for 30 seconds at a time. My personal MD prescribed Pantoprazole which made things so bad that I was forced to abandon it after 20 days. I have only used the apple cinder vinegar tonic on a half dozen occasions and this had "fixed" my issues completely. I've had no GERD related issues in the past year. Thank you.
Thanks for your story as it answered why I sometimes wake up feeling like I can’t take in a complete breath…which began with my acid reflux again while taking prednisone for the first 5 days of my chemo cycles. I skipped the Pepcid they suggested and am back on my acv/lemon water 1-2 times a day during the Prednisone days, once a day thereafter. I find the liquid works better than the capsules I’d switched to recently and will keep those for times when reflux isn’t so severe.
So great!! Thank you, I refuse to take any of the medicine because I knew it would mess up my gut biome…. But the constant cough! The acid reflux and heartburn are gone still trying to get rid of the cough completely
I got them spasms a few times woke up felt like I was choking very scary, I thought it might be sleep apnea but the acid was burning my throat each time I woke with it so now I know it's likely the reflux. I've been on nexium over 20 yrs.
omgosh! that breathing thing happens to me! now i know why!! ive been on pantoprazole for yrs! bc my drs get mad when i question it. tell me ill get cancer without it
In 1971 I was rooting around in the college library and found an old turn of the century small book by a doctor. His solution to most everything internal was a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar every day. Fifty years later I am intermittently following his advice!
Hey, Regular Guy not-a-medical-professional, I AM a medical professional and you are right on point. I have had a chronic dry cough, duh, GERD. Drinking ACV (I hesitate to say "fixed") has made a huge difference. I drink this indiscriminately during the day, no particular time. ACV, sweetener, sometimes with a little cinnamon or ginger, most times not. Tastes like apple cider with the nice side effect of taking care of the reflux. Thanks, once again, for being the crash-test dummy.
@@zahoorbhat2456 mix ACV in water. Taking without dilution could damage the enamel on your teeth. I drink 2 tbs-ish in a pint glass with sweetener, sometimes a little cinnamon or ginger for variety.
@@alaskafiedler I am a US practitioner (although I love Ireland, and my husband is Irish) and here "alternative" treatments are not first-line. I suspect that could be the case in Ireland as well.
Did you have the rough few days? I tried ACV in water for a couple days and it worked and then made the heartburn worse for a couple days, i'm thinking maybe i need to just press through?
Just want to say, it's literally my first day and first time trying diluted ACV, and it worked RIGHT AWAY for my 3 months chronic cough because of combined allergies+acid reflux. Nothing else worked and I've tried a bunch of medications! Thank you so much.
Try also eating red apples for acid reflux. You have to dilute ACV because of vinegar. It is acidic. The apple ingredient in ACV is the one that works.
I met a boy aged 12 that had been suffering with GERD for a few years. He had been scoped down his throat twice, went through 3 different medications and a couple different doctors with no resolution. His mother had spent about 25 thousand American dollars total for all the medical bills. I studied his diet of what he ate and drank. I discovered he was a soccer athlete, and never drank water, but a lot of red Gatoraid or a red fruit punch drink. After several experiments it was conclusuve that the artificial color Red 40 in both drinks was the cause and perpetuator of his GERD.
Whelp, sharing your experiences helped me tremendously! It made me re-evaluate my GERD situation (same symptoms) and I started taking your recipe starting last summer. Like you, I have 'cured' my GERD...no more medications (40mg omeprazole) and completely symptom free (cough and gluten sensitivity). Many thanks Steve, I owe you big time! Keep up the great work.
@@sweetsmile7929 thought I'd respond since I also have been doing this. I'm only at my 30 day mark as of today but I've had minimal to NO symptoms at all. I've recently started trying to eat my triggers (chocolate, tomatoes, soda) and I haven't had a flare. Only time I got somewhat bad symptoms was when I went a little crazy and overate/drank. SO I've learned to manage how much I eat, chew more and chew slow. DOn't be scared, it's alright and it'll be so worth it. I've been doing two tbs of ACV in a big glass of water twice a day for reference. Good luck!
@@OohWeeShaShaCooCoo for someone who has been taking omeprazole as first thing in the morning, would you say that one should drink ACV + water instead and try not taking omeprazole at all? What did you do?
Thanks! People are so confused thinking ACV being acidic will make it worse. Such an easy fix, where Rx’s have side effects. I sent this to my mom who was told to take famotidine and it has so many bad side effects.
You were so thorough when you made this video. I'm so impressed. As someone who thinks in a very logical manner, I require explanations and good info; facts. I appreciated your insight so much. My acid reflux is messing with my heart, blood pressure, voice and lungs. It's sent me to the ER three times in the last two months. This is the most info I've received on how to do anything to improve my situation. I'm grateful to have it💞
@@susanjatta1767 sorry for the late reply. I stop eating after 6, I sleep with baking soda water by my bed every night. 1 have three inches under the head of my bed which I don't notice and I drink ACV but only in the first half of the day. It has helped immensely
Joining the masses in saying THANK YOU for sharing this experience and information. I have also stopped my PPI and am in relief from GERD because I tried this tonic 2x per day; I just started this routine last week and it is already a brand new life. THANK YOU ♥
I came back to this video just to say this: Apple Cider Vinegar saved my life cause acid reflux literally didn't let me eat nothing without have that acid burning my throat (I lost abt 15k just two months) and I didn't sleep at that time and was so stressed about the meds not helping (and cause they are expensive tbh). I tried ACV everytime I had reflux it was a slow process, but now I can eat and sleep well. Maybe I'm not fully recovered yet, but I'm 90% cured. So try it.
Thank you Steve for the consistently fantastic content, it is appreciated, even all the way over here, in Australia. I have suffered with GERD since I was 17, diagnosed and medicated at 25 and now I'm 51. I have been drinking 10-15mls ACV, juice of 1 lemon, and the rest filtered water for 7 months (when I started a Keto diet and IF) and my reflux is virtually gone (along with 31kgs and my fatty liver) which is great because my father died at 58 from esophageal cancer and I would be keen to avoid the same fate.
My mom died of esophageal cancer at 52. I am so afraid as I have gerd and it's affecting me. I was diagnosed in 2018 and I am so tired of the meds. I will try this today
This is very encouraging. I'm 70 and have been taking PPIs for around 35 years. I'm also doing keto and fasting. I'm off my blood pressure medication and have reversed my type II diabetes. I'm on my first few days of ACV, minus the PPI, and it has been very rough and now it seems to be getting better. I did not burp after the baking soda test and I feel like I'm finally on the right path for good health. Thanks.
I know I'm late to the party, but lately I've been having a concerning amount of heartburn/reflux/cough and stomach burning. I'm on omeprazole (OTC). My father passed away 3.5 years ago from esophageal cancer. His warning to us all was to not let heartburn persist. I'm starting this today, praying that I can stop the burn and heal whatever damage has been done. Thank you for the info.
Sorry about Father ,RIP. Have your doctor test you for Helicobacter pylori (H. pylori) infection,if he says no ,demand it. It lives in your stomach and it's so strong it survives in your stomachs acid. It causes reflux/heartburn/gas and stomach /burning /bloating and ulcers among other things. It can cause stomach and or esophageal cancer if not treated. So many lives could be saved by getting this test. Test is simple ,go look it up, take care . PS: there are 4 tests you can get, you decide, but I would another test if you choose the breath test. 1-Blood tests. This test checks for infection-fighting cells (antibodies) that mean you have the bacteria. 2-Stool culture. This looks for any abnormal bacteria in your digestive tract 3-Breath tests. This test can check if there is any carbon after you swallow a urea pill that has carbon molecules. If carbon is found that means that H. pylori has made the enzyme urease. 4-Upper endoscopy, This test looks at the lining of your food pipe (esophagus), stomach, and duodenum (the first part of your small intestine). It uses a thin, lighted tube or endoscope. The tube has a camera at one end. The tube is put into your mouth and throat. Then it goes down into your esophagus, stomach, and duodenum. Your healthcare provider can see the inside of these organs. A small tissue sample (biopsy) is taken if needed. The tissue sample can show if you have the enzyme urease. It can also check the bacteria that is there.
My wife also had Acid Reflux. About 6 months ago we switched to Keto, and she found the ACV tonic. We end up placing 2TBSP Lemon Juice, 2TBSP ACV, 1/8 TSP Ground Ginger, 1/8 TSP Ground Cinnamon, 2-3 squirts of Stevia, one scoop of unflavored collagen, and fill the rest of the 32oz with water and ice. She drinks it through the day, and is now off omeprazole and rarely has to take any tums. Worked great for her.
Hi there! I'm going to start drinking this, may I ask if your wife drinks the whole liter during the day? And if you use yellow lemons? Thank you for the recipe
Thank you so much for this info! I've been suffering from reflux for a while now and it's been horrible my lifestyle was ruined. But with just drinking ACV once a day for 2 days now, the symptoms are gone! Finally a solution!!
I had no idea I had this disorder... I've just spent years coughing, and hacking, and dreading eating. Finally said enough is enough after a really bad coughing fit. I saw my Doc and has recently diagnosed me with GERD. I am so relieved to hear your testimony because I hate the idea of taking medications with nasty side effects. I will give this remedy the best effort I got and report back! Thank you!
I would encourage you to try the "burp test" I describe in this video, as that will be a pretty good indicator as to whether this will work for you. It's been over 3 years since I started consuming ACV and over 3 years I have been reflux free. I currently only drink it once per week, before bedtime. I just put 2 TB in a small glass of warm water and chug it down like a shot. Good luck!
Thanks Steve for sharing such important information. Unfortunately I can truly relate because my husband (back in early 90's) ignored his acid reflux condition and ended up with esophageal cancer😲and had to have 60% of his esophagus removed and 30% of his upper stomach removed 😢 and what's even worse is that he's had numerous issues ever since 1997😪 and probably always will. He has not laid down since 1997 since he has no upper sphincter. PLEASE take this very seriously people!!! Keep up the good work Steve!💜🙏✌🎶🌞
That’s scary to hear I think I need a doctors been fighting this condition on and off since 2013 I can go 2 months without an issue but when it hits me lasts 2 weeks or more Tuna does not help mush the AVC slowly helps scared of this story .
I too want to thank you for this tonic recipe! Our youngest daughter (now 10) has had "tummy trouble" forever. Literally. Some foods just messed her system up badly. It grew worse as she's gotten older. Our family doctor suggested putting her on medication, which helped somewhat. But, like you, I didn't like the thought of her taking prescription medication forever, so I took her off of it and started searching. I believe the Lord led us to your video. Long story a bit shorter, it began working the very first day! We cannot WAIT to see if she's cured in 30 days as well!!! Again, thank you!
That's fantastic! Thank you for sharing. I still consume ACV about once or twice per week to keep my reflux in check. Currently, I just put a tablespoon or two in a small glass of water and chug it down like a shot before bedtime (once or twice per week).
@@SeriousKeto we broke out a double shot glass for her instead of having her drink a whole glass. A shot in the morning and evening. I'm doing one w her and though I don't have stomach issues, I totally expect to benefit from it too! 👊😎
I started this tonic last night after seeing your 30 day video yesterday morning. I knew ACV would help but your tonic helps down it much better. Thanks for your input and videos. I started following yesterday and already see some promising videos. Thanks!!
I started drinking acv shortly after watching your 30 day video. Drinking it helped me immensely. I got my reflux much more under control and don't even drink it every day anymore. I recently started my keto journey and it's the most peaceful my body has felt in years. I'm on my 3rd week of keto and I love it.
I just take it in a hot drink before bedtime and first thing in the morning instead of tea, one tablespoon full in a mug of hot water, the ACV I bought has ginger and turmeric in it as well, it's only been 4 days now, but my airways are much clearer as I had a continuous mucus problem in the mornings, so far it has reduced it a lot, so hopeful it will get rid of it altogether over the next few weeks, I do have acid reflux, though not as serious as some, I can go two or three days without medication before I feel some reflux, but I have stopped taking the med and will see if I can stay off it while drinking AVC, I have other issues as well that ACV is a ledged to help with, one difference I have noticed already though is less gas !
@@SeriousKeto hi dear i haven’t had sny citrus from 2 years nd m patient of mild chronic gastritis should i take acv or can you make recipes for lacto vegan m still in stress because m suffering from alot and taking nexium nd pariet in a day so what i should do my brother guide me to drink acv he id also having it nd acv helping her as well plz help me
Thank you for referring me to this video. I didn't burp. Lol. I contacted my doctor after watching your other video. She emailed back that she actually has two other patients that are taking this tonic. She said it has worked for them. She actually said if I want to try it she'd be interested in knowing if it works for me also. That surprised me. So I'm going to try it. Thank you! My kidneys Thank you too!
Thank you so much for sharing your story and the 6 months and 12 months update, it was very helpful and encouraging. I have been having heartburns for a long time. It has gotten worse for the last 4 months. Last year I had an endoscopy because I had that sensation of fullness and having something suck on my throat, like you said, when you take a pill and goes the wrong way. Anyhow, they found the H. Pylori, but somehow the symptoms didn't go away. After watching Dr. Berg and yours, I will definitely start taking your tonic until I can reduce to 1 glass once in a while. I don't want antacids. It neutralizes ALL acids and enzymes that we need to digest our meals. It is sad to realize that the majority of doctors only want to patch the symptoms instead of fixing the root of the problem. I have been dealing with IBS-C as well, and I am always looking for natural remedies. I haven't done keto diet but I did change my diet because of my IBS. I have cut down my carbs, got rid of cheap vegetable oil, only grass fed butter, etc. One think I found out today through Dr. Bergs video, it's that a lot of apple cider vinegar are diluted with water, like Bragg's. I checked the one from Costco, and sure enough, also diluted with water. Dr. Berg recommended Fairchild's brand, that one is not diluted. Just to share. Good luck everyone on this journey. I am very hopeful after this testimonial.
@@J.Zealuis still going. I gave up on the vinager. I still take it with a half on lime with my meals, but I decided to try the betaine HCI pills with pepsin. I have 4 days now since I got them and I think it's helping (better than apple cider vinegar) . It's too soon to talk but I will continue for at least you 30 days. I do take them during my meal though, it works better for me that way. If I take them before lunch, even 10-15 mins before I eat, it made my heartburn worst.
Hi, I usually don't comment. I figure with all your subscribers and comments all ready you won't have time to read them. But, this video is exactly my experience. you were one of the people who started me Keto and well as the first I subscribed to. I have lost the twenty pounds I needed to and do not have the acid reflux ? GERD. So... THANK YOU !!!
I, along with alot of other people commenting on the wonders of your ACV tonic, have put a serious dent in the big pharma by no longer shelling out $$$ for their acid reflux/GERD meds! Thanks!!!!
Thank you for this! I know is over a year old, but I needed this! I was on Keto for at least over one year and decided to have a day where I would "cheat" a little. That "a little" became over a year and 20 lbs gained from losing almost 100 lbs. Im going back to keto and never looking back. However, I've gotten acid reflux (not diagnosed by a doctor) and started taking a couple of teaspoons full before eating. It's working but I needed your testimony to make sure I was doing the right thing. Thank you from a new subscriber 🥰
Hi Steve, I seen your 1st video on ACV , so I decided to try it. Unlike you I stayed on my medication for 1 month. I starting out with apple cider vinegar and water only, after two weeks I made my cocktail of apple cider vinegar water lemon juice ginger and then after a month I added turmeric and just a little pepper. I did this for 6 months, every night 1 hour before bed. Then stopped to see how I felt and no heart burn. The only time I get heartburn now is when I eat greasy foods. I can even eat tomatoes now. Like you I had been on medication for 15 years. And I am not now! Thank you! 😊
Only had GERD (self diagnosed, thank you online health bloggers) for 3 months but it was getting worse, no matter what diet I ate or how many antacids I took. Saw your video, watched as many others as I could and started on the diluted ACV. That was 3 weeks ago - and it has worked wonderfully! No more cough, burning, horrid taste and I think I took about 1 antacid a week since I started. Thanks for this great advice and sharing your experiences - I will pass the word on.
Doing Keto for 3 months + Dr. Nick's drink for 1 month got rid of my GERD in 2020, after a decade plus of GERD and months of chronic pain which made me jump into action. . . . A year later, my GERD slightly came back because I've been on an anything-goes diet. I'm about to start again and drink this regularly to get rid of it for good. Thank you and Dr. Nick for your content and help!
Thanks to your original video, I started doing this and it cured my heartburn after 13 years of taking Prilosec. I had the same experience - went keto, started taking ACV, and within 4-5 days, my heartburn rarely peaks its head, and even then, it’s minor. Thank you for these videos!
Wowo. Dude lot's of congratulations 🥳. bhagwan keep you well & health dude. I am also suffering gerd issue for 5 years & I am going to try this Ayurvedic Drink ACV.
Did you quit your Prilosec cold turkey? If not, how did you work the Prilosec out of your medication routine? I'm on day 1 of ACV and stopped taking the Prilosec cold turkey. I did OK at the start of the day but struggling towards the second half. Any help is appreciated!
@@minkuya My understanding is the Prilosec acts to lower the acid where the apple cider vinegar adds the acid our stomachs need . Taking both would seem to cancel the effects of both. Watch all of his acid reflux videos especially the 30 day trial one. Lots of great info.
Thank you for this video! Ive been on Omeprazole for 10 years. My doctor switched me to Protonix, which landed me in the hospital with anaphylactic shock. I have had chronic diarrhea for years. I just had an endoscopy, and they didn't find anything. You answered my questions, and now I'm going to give this a try. Thanks again!
I think you pieced this together nicely. I'm keto carnivore lost 50 pounds but still batting severe gerd attacks. Stopped the acid reducers and started acv but used 1 tbsp in a shot glass which only works sporadically. Had to take nitrobid to stop the pain. But refilling nitrobid too often triggers doctor protocols and specialist referrals and all that b.s. wife mixed me up a quart of your tonic and I'm off to the races. Thanks for your suggestion!
Thank you so much for sharing this video, my father who had been struggling with his persistent coughing due to acid reflux for years, went to countless Doctors who prescribed medicine after medicine and never really solved the problem. Then I saw this video and told my father to try this. He tried it for a week only and he now he doesnt take any medication anymore. His coughing and acid reflux disappears. It used to be he couldnt even sleep at night because of the coughing. Trully thankfull for sharing this video and your story, its been a blessing. By the way my father stopped entirely taking the acv after just 1 week because he feels his gerd problem is gone for good. I told him to continue taking it at least once a week or every so often.
This is exactly my experience. Older folks can have lower stomach acid. I take a shot of ACV cut 50-50 with water. It takes somewhere between 20-30 seconds for symptoms to subside. Simple, but very effective.
Very useful information, thanks for this 👍. Would like to add my bit of it, people think that Low stomach acid means lower in quantity, NOT AT ALL, rather it's lower in its potency which is not very acidic enough to digest the food. Hence stomach produces more amount of acid to compensate it, which when touches the esophagous, the sphincter is damaged and lets the acid raise up to the throat, with a burning sensation. This is what we call acid reflux. Now here when we add ACV, ginger etc, it helps improve the pH of the stomach acid, thus lowering the quantity of stomach acid to an appropriate level naturally. So we don't have acid reflux anymore.😊 It's all about maintaining the pH level of the stomach acid to be more acidic that enables digestion.
*I appreciate how you explain the potential benefits of apple cider vinegar in managing acid reflux symptoms. It's great to have a natural alternative to consider. Thanks for shedding light on this topic and providing helpful insights.*
Hello I've been on keto for over a year. I had a bad sugar addiction for many years resulting in acid reflux. I now have barretts esophagus which can lead to esophageal cancer. I started taking acv 17 years ago but kept eating sugar so have done a lot of damage. Now I'm off sugar/carbs etc but must be careful what I eat to not encourage cancer. I don't eat anything spicy or in the tomato family. I won't be able to heal mine but hopefully keep anything from advancing. I'm glad to c uve started the acvinegar , it's amazing what we do to ourselves. Also the Dr's no nothing about nutritional healing. I enjoy ur videos. From Canada🇨🇦
I’m so sorry you went through that and several years of it too. Like you I started keto (& IF) and you’re right-it went away - all digestive issues but I still drink water w/ACV in it when eating. But until my gut was cleaned up I had to take it sometimes throughout the day. In my 30’s I took all those OTC acid reducers. So grateful for the internet info that taught me not only how to fix it without meds but that the meds were causing deficiencies of vital minerals in my body. Good for you Steve! And thank you!
Hey Steve! I’m on day 4 of ACV for Acid Reflux. I’m on day 3 of not taking PPIs which I had already started weaning off of well before seeing your first ACV video. I made some alterations as I have found I prefer it warm. 1/2 Tbs ACV 1 Tbs honey and a pinch of ginger. Then I pour the warm water over the ingredients and stir. I found the cinnamon really aggravated my throat. I want to thank you. I was determined to eat boring food all the time to get off PPIs. With the tonic before meals I’m able to eat multiple foods I like. Tonight I even ate spicy food with confidence. You’re a blessing. Can’t wait to see how I feel after a full month. I will update you all then!!
I have H Pylori (currently treating) and it was the reason my GERD began. Unfortunately, H Pylori causes gut inflammation so starting ACV (whether your stomach acid is low or not) is too harsh on the gut. It's important to heal the inflammation with less harsh of foods like cabbage to help heal the stomach. So anyone that has no luck with the ACV route, you may want to check for other ailments causing the GERD before treating it and ACV will definitely help after that inflammation is treated.
I used to take Gastrozyme which is made from cabbage juice, it healed an ongoing problem with my digestion I’ve also taken ACV and Lemon which helps my low acid
Yes that's my goal right now. Treat the inflammation from the aftermath of h pylori treatment then heal the acid reflux with Acv because Im almost positive I now have low acid.
Another UA-cam guy, Dr. Eric Berg, also has explained the same exact reasoning why acid (from vinegar) helps "fix" GERD/acid re-flux. Seems like the logic/science is there, but you are right, it's counterintuitive how acid fights acid. Sharing your experience is fantastic! You rock, my friend.
My acid reflux got really bad one night. The burning sensation in my left chest was a 10. It was unbearable! I couldn’t sleep or lie down . And I was screaming from the pain. I tried the Apple cider vinegar water mix. It WORKED ! ! Now I sip a cup or two every day before I go to bed and during the night !
My husband came home from work complaining of heartburn. He was so miserable he'd try anything. So I offered him a small shot ofn ACV. He reluctantly took it. Fifteen minutes later he was so happy his heartburn was gone!
I couldn't breathe at all or run. Always had this weird feeling in the back of my throat and felt like bubbles coming up. When I went to sleep I'd wake up instantly. Hasn't happened ever since doing this tonic.
Makes 100% to me , I have GERD and was prescribed antacids , took them for a few days saw dr. Bergs vid on myths about GERD , stopped using the pills tried the Apple cider really didn’t help me much , started taking Digestive enzymes Saved me from all the pain and horrible suffering. I don’t have a gallbladder and that is what I believe is the main reason for my prior issues . your gallbladder is SO important and no one talks about it !! Thanks Steve , I hope everyone listens 🥰
@@animated6875 because mine had essentially become a “bean bag” full of gall stones. I had passed my third gall stone, which feels like a heart attack.
Great solution to all the GERD sufferers like me. I’d also recommend steam inhalation by adding a table spoon of ACV in hot water, especially if you’re also having trouble with sinuses, blocked nostrils and so on. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed…
This video has been huge for me, thank you for putting it up. I was desperate for help with my gerd, the ppis were horrible with side effects. I went from having to use PPIs + antiacids daily to being off the PPIs and only occasionally taking antiacids. I'm even to the point where I might go a week without having to drink any acv.
A recent upper endoscopy showed that I have esophagitis and gastritis in my stomach, wouldn’t acv irritate this condition? I’m waiting for results of my biopsies and am a nervous wreck! Please let me know if it’s safe for me to try this?
@@totallychillgirl8072 It would be better to stick to PPI for a while to give your esophagus time to heal then start using ACV. Don't forget to cut off all sugary food to speed your healing journey.
ACV has a major positive impact on my overall health, including the ability to ward off any sickness. At the first sign of feeling as though I may be coming down with something. I'll mix ACV with an 1/8 tsp of Baking Soda and...voila. I haven't had a flu or anything like it in at least 10 years. Great video man! Good to hear you've remedied your issue. Best of health to you🙌
This is a wonderful video, I can’t thank you enough, your video is so concise and easy to follow and after only 2 weeks I am seeing a big difference. I would never take PPIs and my symptoms were getting worse when I came across this video and I am exceedingly grateful for pointing me in the right direction. Carol in Australia ♥️
Really great video! Type 2 diabetic here and I’m seeing some significant reduction in my blood sugar and A1C levels using a similar recipe of ACV. I also watch closely what I eat and thus essentially KETO. Thanks again!
I was taking 40 mg. of Nexium daily for 20+ years. I began ACV one year ago and it has made all the difference. I didn't think I'd ever be without Nexium. Thank you for this video - I learned a few things!
@@ezijala3346 I mix 2 TBLS with 12 ounces of water and drink it about an hour before bed. Be sure to swish plain water in your mouth after because ACV damages tooth enamel.
I was on Prevacid for over 20 years, and after watching your 1st video, I started drinking the ACV tonic. It’s been almost 1year since I quit the med & drinking the tonic with no episodes of reflux. I usually drink it daily but once in awhile will forget a day but still no reflux occurs. So Steve, thank you for your video, it helped me!
Great summary and very consistent with my experiences also. Times when I took things like Nexium my symptoms got worse, not better as they were reducing my stomach acids, further exacerbating the problem. I pretty much completely cleared up my GERD with ACV and then after about 6 months stopped taking it and it gradually came back. I'm now back on it again and it is starting to clear it up once again. Medically proven or not, it definitely seems to work in my experience also.
You are the consummate professional Steve. It is wonderful to hear these tips and respond to the litany of well-founded questions. You take care of us, Keto folks and non-Keto alike, through your due diligence. I've said it before; I say it again: you are a blessing on this earth. Namaste bro...
This has been the most helpful series that I have found in my last two days of research, I begrudgingly started having your exact same onset symptoms and my ENT yesterday suspects acid reflex as well, and of course prescribed a medication which I really do not want to take. I'm carnivore-based so I don't eat any of the other nonsense but will absolutely be adding vinegar in water to try to fix this. Thank you for your clear and helpful recounts!
It's been 3 years since I started consuming ACV and 3 years I have been reflux free. I currently only drink it once per week, before bedtime. I just put 2 TB in a small glass of warm water and chug it down like a shot. Good luck!
Thank you for doing these videos. I've only had mild acid reflux and I've never taken any medication. However, I have done several things to try to heal and also to prevent it getting any worse. To heal my oesophagus I took 20 drops of calendula tincture (from marigolds) twice a day in a little water. That works quickly. I've also found that eating an apple in the evening helped prevent any problems when I lay down. And finally I've tried making my own apple cider vinegar from those very same apple cores. It's an easy process and works well. I was fascinated to learn that the sphincter muscle remains closed when there's high acid content in the stomach. That makes a lot of sense and means that I was wrong in assuming that I couldn't stop it opening. So thanks again.
I think silent reflux is when you don't know you have it... but have the dry cough symptom. It mostly happens overnight when sleeping, but it's not bad enough to wake you up.
I know that feeling... 😐 I don't feel acid, but i have acid reflux. I was thinking before how it's possible. I will try acv, maybe it will help me from dry cough, mucus and i can sleep better. Maybe i have low acid in my stomach. 🤔
Dry cough, ear or nasal passage pain/burning, congested stomach, belching, throat mucas that can't be cleared, globulous feeling in the throat. I Have LPR - varied symptoms.
I'm pretty sure I have silent as well. I have a dry cough that occasionaly makes me cough up phlegm in the morning. I think apples (of all things) do this to me.
Acid reflux is no joke. It is painful at the time but, the long-term effects can be deadly. Persistent acid reflux can lead to esophageal cancer. I know this because my husband has it and had to have a huge part of his esophagus removed. He is still fighting the effects and the cancer that spread from that original tumor. Please be careful and don't think it is "just heart burn". It could be so much more. If you start having any issues with swallowing - even after the acid reflux is gone - PLEASE see a doctor immediately.
That acid reflux is real. Right now I’m on medications for it. Should I discontinue taking and rely on the ACV or compliment the medication with the ACV?
Thank you so much for this update. Everything you said here is true. I passed through thesame thing. At a point I was afraid to eat anything, but the moment I watched Dr Eric Bergs video and learnt that taking Gestid /omeprazole worsens my condition, for the first time I understood what was happening to me. I stopped taking them and switched to Apple cider vinegar. I started with 1spoon to a glass of water. I don't always rem taking it bf food, but the moment I finished eating, because of the way my stomach would feel, I go for acv for help. I don't add anything, I don't even drink only water with food or after it cause the Dr Berg said the water dilutes the little acid one has in the stomach if we do. So I drink the mix of water and acv after food. This is my 2nd week now. I feel great. No more acid reflux, or burning chest and throat or cough in the night. Also no more chronic sore throat. my digestion is perfect now. Though I also take probiotics with the acv.
Although this video was 5 months ago, I am a newbie to your channel for your wonderful keto information. I, like you have been taking Prilosec(or other GERD med) for at least 15 years. This med worked for me the entire time and I didnt need any more than the standard dose daily. I have wanted to get off the med for the longest time and experimented with other medications which were unsuccessful. When I saw this video on your site I decided to try this protocol as I didnt have as bad of reflex as you it appeared. I began at the beginning of Sept 2021 with two 30ml doses a day(which I just would shotglass, no drink mix). Initially it burned my throat and somewhat upset my stomach(mostly the first week), but I became accustomed to it. I planned a tapering down of my Prilosec for the whole month, at which time I would stop it if I could. I discovered after two weeks that I only needed one dose of ACV a day, and I had also extended my Prilosec dose out to every 4 days. I am currently at the third week and have stopped my Prilosec completely. I have had no issues with the culprits that would cause me issues even when using medication(beer, dark chocolate, hot/spicy sauces or food). I have noticed that I appear to have an even better digestion cycle, and stomach issues have become limited or nothing at all. Steve, thank you for your channel and the great keto info, but a thousand thanks for this set of three videos about this topic. You rock!!
@@SeriousKeto Hey Steve I thought about posting this in your alcohol issue video, but thought since some of the information is already here I'll just do it here. This may be a bit long, but bear with me. As you hopefully reread, I had pretty good success.....initially. After awhile I began to get a burning in my throat like we all begin GERD with. The burning became quite bad and I found that the ACV would burn my throat for quite awhile after taking a shot. It came down to the point that I needed a medication again, but did the alternate route not the PPI's. It worked okay for awhile but GERD would again creep in 3-4 times a week. I then realized that I was doing this so I could keep drinking whiskey and beer!! I decided to stop, the heartburn went away completely and with in a week my throat was healed. It isnt a big deal for me to stop, as I dont normally overdrink, couple of beers or a glass of whiskey at 5pm(that is a warning signal though, "set time to drink"). I actually have no desire to indulge at the moment, and down the line will probably partake in a beer with certain meals(Mexican & pub food), or a glass of whiskey in the evening 1-2 a month. I applaud you for coming forward with your issue, and we actually seem to be on similar paths of, "do I", "dont I", or will moderation work. I just wanted to share, as this seemed a good time to add to this journey of mine on eliminating GERD and the alcohol factor. Thx and keep up the good work.
Hi Steve, I'm from bangladesh. I started to take this tonic when I watched first vedio. It's my 7th day today. OMG! It's a life changer tonic i must say. I have been suffering from acid reflux, gerd, stomachache from last 5 years. Ultrasound, endoscopy all are done. I was taking omeprazole and esomeprazole from last 5 yrs. But I was not happy with my life. Bt now I'm happy and I'm not taking any medicine frm last 5 days. Gid Bess u my dear
So thankful i came across this video. I had a bad case of GERD a few months ago, took ppis, and after a couple months it was gone. However, it returned in a few months and multiple OTC meds did not work. One night when i woke to symptoms despite taking multiple meds i thought I'd give acv a try. It worked! Now i only seem to need 1 teaspoon in water with a little cinnamon 2x a day and symptoms are gone. I also eat what i want. Thank you !!!
Thank you Steve so much I have had gastritis for years so much burping and bloating 😧 I have just started AV I love the way you explain everything 👍 wish everyone would watch your video and get well 👍 from UK
I've been taking a half-shot-glass of ACV on an as-needed basis for 15 years. I eat whatever I want. If it's Italian and red wine, I'll take 3/4 of a shot-glass. Works every time. Side benefit, my arthritis pain is gone now also. Nothing better than ACV!!!
I like your statement of not being a physician, upfront attitude. Healthline has been mentioned in this video. Just want to comment that everyone should be careful about using "Resources" that are not medical associations, especially when it comes to awful side effects. There is a lot of media hype on UA-cams that are misleading and dangerous. And all because of someone wanting to make a buck. Your statement of not being a physician etc is spot on and while explaining your experiences and why you are sharing. While our physicians prescribe meds that are sometimes worse than the disease itself, I agree we sometimes have to seek alternatives. Reminder to check out the person and /or references used in videos, their background. Once found that someone's UA-cam and medical advice was using a Doctor, but not a medical doctor but a phd in a social study environment. Dangerous. Just a lawsuit away if someone wants to create havoc.
Thank you! I'm a retired RN and knew most of what you were teaching. And I also tried the Bragg's vinegar tonic for several issues. I didn't get healed...but perhaps I didn't give it time. I had added some spices and honey to the mix as a tonic for my husband, diabetic dad, and myself. I tried to go keto and I get so ill every time, from Adkins to keto. My body is a hot mess now. I will try anything to prevent another useless ER visit...last time the Dr. cussed me out and told me I was a waste of his time and I was writhing in pain and had been vomiting for 2 days and was dehydrated and in severe epigastric pain. I was treated like a drug seeker I think, and I did not want pain meds! I did want IV hydration and IV Zofran...that had been the only thing that helped me the last time I had been and had a good doctor that was caring and got it all calmed down before letting me leave. I cannot ingest so many foods now d/t my psoriasis, GERD, IBS, and diverticulosis. so I cannot eat any tomato or other nightshade plants. That is so hard! But I avoid them like the plague or pay the consequences! I've also had 6 - 8 loose/liquid and foul bowel movements for the last almost 30 years now. I do try to manage this with medications, but it is just a horrible thing to live with. I am homebound and disabled now d/t pain and other health issues. Just waiting on God at this point. I'm ready for this suffering life to be over with honestly. Not suicidal...so don't freak out on me. But I am ready to be taken to my forever Heavenly home. I have a bottle of Braggs, so will drop my Protonix after speaking with my physician next week...he's pretty ignorant, as many of the new ones are for some reason. Good thing I have a BSN and many years of nursing experience and can tell him my diagnoses and what I want him to prescribe...He has NEVER performed a real head to toe physical assessment of me over the last 5+ years. I could have a massive melanoma growing on my back and would never know until it metastasized. I sure miss the old days! I miss my caring and thorough NP! Boy she sure checked everything once a year for me. She quit is the only reason I don't see her anymore. She changed to a diabetic clinic, darn it! Shared this to my fb page so I can refer to it again. Thank you again.
@@lindalentz5093 Much better since getting off of all the antacid medications and proton pump inhibitors. Also on a very strict diet with no processed foods, sugars, GMO's, grains, or starchy vegies. Only oils I use are olive or animal derived. I am free from all of the maladies I was suffering from! Only time I get bubble gut and such is when I cheat a little with too much bbq sauce or such. I no longer use any store bought salad dressings/mayo, etc... I feel so much better! IBS, GERD, Gastric reflux, all gone! No more waking to aspiration and pain! Dr. Sten Ekberg saved me!
Our doctors in the UK barely look at you if you manage to see them. I won't take medications. I have fibromyalgia and some respiratory problems from years ago. I am 78. My chronic productive cough was wearing me out but I researched and believe it is Gerd/ Laryngeal hypersensitivity. So I am trying the Acv with a little water and a little juice to flavour. It is helpful so far plus I am ( trying )to cut out sugar, also gluten. Good luck.
I stumbled upon this three-part series a couple years ago. I went 8 days with no medication, but didn't last as my diet was full of inflammatory food. Recently my autoimmune has developed into very bad psoriasis eczema and joint pain, and now scleroderma also known as skin morphea. Im two weeks into no gluten, no refined sugar. I pretty well eat hard boiled eggs, chicken, ground beef/ pork and fruit and some vegetables. Today I am on day two of no medication. I was on 20mg of Nexium once every two days. Doesn't sound like a lot but if i were to miss that dose hell would come. I am and have been 100% convinced for years now that all my medical conditions are directly related to the medication. Yesterday I had to take three glasses of apple cider vinegar instead of two. And the burning was gone before bed. Just wanted to share a little bit about myself. Our history with the medication in terms of timelines and doses are almost identical. I do appreciate your videos and the fact that you are still replying.
Out of all the videos and Books I read on gerd, I enjoyed your video the most. Cause your just a regular down to earth guy , sharing your experience along with a wealth of helpful knowledge.
This recipe is wonderful. I have been doing ACV and lemon juice but the cinnamon and ginger really kick it up a notch. This is my new afternoon cocktail. Love your videos!!!
I started doing a “ shot” of acv with the mother , I TBS in 2-3 oz of water three times a day before meals two weeks ago. I too went Cold Turkey off of the omeprazole. My life long SEVERE GERD has practically disappeared. Even with indulging a little bit yesterday on thanksgiving I have not had the horrific night time reflux that has regularly resulted in actual aspiration of bits of acid into my lungs. If you’ve experienced this you know how awful it is to wake up actually coughing acid out of your bronchia. I did experience that rough patch you talked about at the end of week one. But it cleared up. I’ve been doing well and am hoping to try an occasional glass of wine in a few months. I’m very encouraged to hear that the relief is long lasting and improves over time.
I have gall stone and it was giving me very bad digestive symptoms. After I started drinking ACV everything is back to normal I'd say 95 %. And it's been already 8 months. Unbelievable! The old saying goes like this : when you do your damp like a dog you doing very good and you are healthy. Lol. Great info video 👍👍👍
I can personally confirm the information you are giving. I too have tried various modifications with the ACV so don't hesitate trying honey or other ingredients. Systemic improvements in my body became apparent which I credit the ACV variations with.
i'm 50 years old. last week i started experiencing acid reflux for the first time ever. i started poking around on youtube and found your vids. yesterday i had ONE shot of apple cider vinegar. i guess it kinda reset the pH in my gut, because that's all it took. yesterday was fine and today i didn't even take any. i'm back to my regular diet and have no symptoms. i'm not on any keto diet or anything. grains, dairy, meat, whatever. nice to know i have a bottle of acv in the fridge just in case.
I’ve been suffering with this for years 🥺 and all this time the doctors said I had too much acid but turns out it’s LOW acid!!! Apple cider vinegar and adding Betaine HCL pills when I ate has helped me so much 😭
THANK YOU! I tried your method and had immediate positive results. I haven't had acid reflux since I've been on this regimen. I also have to say that I love the delivery of your message. You freely admit that you have no medical training, you are just passing on good information that has worked for you. Fantastic!! Thank you SO much!!
Super video. I've been on ACV for just 4-5 days and so far so amazing. I've never heard of silent reflux and I was definitely experiencing it. It was therefore hard to pinpoint if it was a certain thing I was drinking or eating that was causing the issue. 2 months ago my doc put me on PPIs for a month and the moment I stopped the problem came back. And so..... ACV alllllllll the way! If I told my doc that acv has been working wonders I think she'd think I was gone a little batty
An anecdote readers may find interesting: I am an avid fan of spicy food & hot sauce since 6th grade. I typically have 30+ bottles all over the place so that they're close at hand. On occasion I get a bit of heart burn or acid reflux (not sure the difference). All my friends that know me always immediately cite the amount of hot sauce I consume. For instance, I might typically use & LOVE an entire small bottle of Tabasco (2 fl oz) to accompany certain meals. My occasional symptoms never correlate with eating like so. In fact, due to my friends' thinking, I actually came to realize that the times it happens is in times where my eating patterns have changed and I've been eating "normal" foods -- more pastries, cereal, etc -- all things that I wouldn't add hot sauce too & often include lots of sugar. (I tried a few, but it's usually a waste of hot sauce ;) ) In short -- over a decade or so, the times of NOT eating spicy food correspond to times of getting reflux. I actually found these videos that seem to confirm my suspicion while researching probiotics & bio-hacking.
@@SinisterAnimationS Thanks, but the whole point of the comment is that when I eat less spice / "normal" then I get heartburn like everyone else. Like your comment, all my friends immediately think "the hot sauce," but the best fix that always works is realizing the I *haven't* been eating spicy. When I start eating a handful of jalapenos or lots of Tabasco with every meal that's when I *stop* getting heartburn sometimes. Stomach acid has a much lower pH (1.5 -3) than most spicy foods which are in the 3-6 range.
@@johnj4094 Yes, that IS along the lines of what I think is happening. Two weeks ago I had breakfast for dinner with friends and has scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, & pancakes. I was distracted and butter & syrup were the only things I thought to use. A 1-2 hours later I started getting a burning / acid-reflux sensation. Two days later, I had eggs and sausage with lots of habanero, Tabasco, & about 1 cup pickled jalapenos. That's what I consider normal since my teens and I don't associate it with heartburn. I think the pancakes & syrup would have been fine if I'd eaten the rest like I normally do. All the undesirable things most people associate with hot sauce, I personally never experienced except the occasions that I would consume significant sweets like others do. Basically take all the "When I eat Thai food / Taco bell / hot sauce..." anecdotes & stereotypes and rewrite them with "When I eat a lot of ice cream, cake, or pie..." My hypothesis has for a long time been that it's related to interaction of the acids with the sugars - not one or the other. However each person's general metabolic state & chemistry are can 'reverse' how they perceive the effects. E.g. Adding acid to a glucogenic metabolism versus adding sugar to a ketogenic one with low pH levels (strongly acidic). I think the acid gets the bad wrap because it's not a low barrier to entry like ice cream and cake. Also, billions of Indian and Thai diets over thousands of years seems to agree. Increasing the acidity levels via what I consume may well be why I don't get heartburn unless I *don't* eat spicy. The paradox of how it is that *insufficient* acid results in s burning sensation is still a loss on me though. 8)
Thanks so much for this video & recipe! It is very encouraging. I had heard of acv for general health, so ive been having a bit here & there randomly. With zero effect on my gerd. From now on, i will never miss a day! : )
This video is so important because doctors seem to prescribe those heartburn medications like candy and now they are finding that long term use is linked to dementia and other memory issues. Another natural remedy that helped me with conquering heartburn in the past was drinking aloe or digestive bitters. (Bitters also helped me get over my sweet tooth when first starting keto).
Heartburn meds also weaken your bones over time & can cause osteoporosis. If you have osteoporosis, you should use those meds for the shortest time possible.
@@Olfa_2006 I use Urban Moonshine’s original formula. I have no affiliation with them and found their product in my local grocery store. Not sure exactly what they are, other than magic! Basically, I believe they are distilled herbs. I know when traveling over in Europe, it was very common to have a “digestif” at the end of a heavy meal (not sure if I’m spelling that correctly). It was basically a very strong, bitter alcohol that helped digestion. This is similar, except I’m not sure if it has any alcohol in it, if it does, it is such a tiny amount you drink it wouldn’t add up to anything. I’ll take the bitters about 10 minutes before I eat to get my digestive juices flowing, again, not sure if there’s any actual scientific proof that this is how it works but it seems to help me. Also, if my tummy is feeling yuck I’ll take some and it often settles it. You can learn more about bitters and buy Urban Moonshine products here (or go to your local grocery or health store) . . . www.urbanmoonshine.com/pages/about-bitters?gclid=CjwKCAjwk6-LBhBZEiwAOUUDp8IHlfLbQoHiZkD2SFQCOj8QiM7MXvYiKU8KvU8QYKU0DslkeZim9hoCSu0QAvD_BwE
Thanks for the recipe. In a glass of water i added one and a half tsp of apple cider vinegar, a tsp of lime juice, a pinch of cinnamon powder, a pinch of ginger powder, a few drops of stevia, gave it a stir and drank it through a straw. It was delicious.
Thanks for always making videos that are clear and easy to grasp. So far I haven’t convinced anyone that ACV works, even though it did for me too. I used to get nauseous and even barf if I tried to drink coffee, but now I can drink it whenever. I love having that option! Keto is helping too of course.
So you used ACV and were you able to drink coffee without having acid reflux? I had to stop coffee because of GERD symptoms and can't imagine being back on it again. I'll try ACV, too.
Thank you sooo much! I’m on day 3 of your tonic (which I love the taste of by the way) and you answered all my questions. I’m determined to get off nexium and I especially appreciated the heads up for days 5,6. Really enjoy all your keto recipes too. Lovin the keto life. 😊
I'm glad you went ahead and said there were days early on where you were having a hard time. I'm nearly a week into trying this and reflux + hiccups nearly broke me. The first video I watched (30 day vid) made me think that it was virtually smooth sailing the whole time, I was starting to think I was doing something wrong. Fingers crossed! Thanks for making this
@@davidatwork I've been struggling to get much sleep, but I've also been eating too much junk food.. so it's probably my own fault. I'm making it through the day fine, I just have a small mouthful of water whenever I feel a burn (I don't want to fill the stomach more). Overall I would say there has been improvement during the day, and thankfully that night I posted here was my worst. Have you done the test to make sure your stomach acid was actually low? I was going to try it this weekend (I didn't before, since I was on medications and figured it would be a certainty)
@@davidatwork are you taking probiotics? I tried everything. The probiotics took away my heartburn. Now ACV is taking away my bloating. I’m always bloated and looking pregnant.
Hi, if you had your hiatal hernia fixed wouldn’t that have sorted your acid reflux out? I have a HH and am waiting for the Stretta procedure and am hoping that will stop my acid reflux. Also I did the acid test and burped almost straight away so does that mean act won’t help me.
Try breathing exercises if it's not an acid issue. search Liebscher & Bracht here on UA-cam. I use these for instant relief, but long term relief you may need to cut carbs out - I haven't been able to do that though.
THANK YOU.
That's fantastic! Thanks for sharing you story. 👍
Glad I stopped pantropazole it's wasn't helping my acid reflux so I tried apple cider vinegar I haven't had any more problems
Hey! I've been suffering from GERD all my life. I am willing to learn more about how you introduced this in your routine, what were the reaction and ilk. It could help me heal, emulating from your journey, if you are fine with it. Could we speak on some other platform, extensively on this?
How do you take it? And When? How many times a day?
Diluted in water or straight? Tablespoon? Empty stomach? Once twice a day?
How can we do ? How much?
I've learned way more from this video than from actual doctors. This guy speaks in such a detailed yet easy to digest manner. It's like a really good instructor you'd have in college.
Thank you. 😊
Nice pun.😝
I had serious reflux issues years ago. I was scoped, put on meds etc… Several years ago I went Keto and slowly transitioned to Carnivore, with this lifestyle I started the ACV routine. I’m down to 1-2 shots per week and never felt better. Reflux is a distant memory. Thanks for sharing your story.
Thanks for sharing your experience as well. I'm down to a shot of ACV (in a small glass of warm water) before bedtime once per week.
@@SeriousKeto when you say "a shot" of ACV, how much is that? (And thank you for this information!)

Thank you for teaching me how to take apple cider vinegar Sir I appreciate it
You’re right, I started taking it 2-3 weeks ago. Thank you.
Have you tried it yet ?
May i ask how do u take your acv?with/without food,when & do u mix anything with it?Thanks!
How are you doing now?
I'm 2 weeks in taking Apple cider vinegar. I can honestly say that my chronic gord symptoms have disappeared. Thank you so much for providing actually real advice. I'll be passing this information onto my Dad who also suffers the same condition.
Thanks for sharing your experience.
how many times in a day do you drink this tonic? Do you mix the tonic with water in a cup of glass or your just drink an amount of this mix that is showned in the video?
God be with you. Happy to hear.praise God
Same here. Been sipping 2 tablespoons in 8 oz’s of water morning, afternoon and evening. Sleeping better now.
Thank you.
Thank you for sharing your experience.

U are what u eat is a good saying
Taken as a shot with water, you can drink it in seconds. Doesn't have to be torture. 😃
This is the greatest advice I've got in years, it helped me get rid of my GERD!
M suffering from gerd does it really help?
hi, may i know what were your symptoms before?
Hey, Regular Guy not-a-medical-professional, I AM a medical professional and you are right on point. I have had a chronic dry cough, duh, GERD. Drinking ACV (I hesitate to say "fixed") has made a huge difference. I drink this indiscriminately during the day, no particular time. ACV, sweetener, sometimes with a little cinnamon or ginger, most times not. Tastes like apple cider with the nice side effect of taking care of the reflux. Thanks, once again, for being the crash-test dummy.
Try it with a squeeze of lemon and a shake of real salt. Its delicious and crave worthy. Really quenches your thirst and I can't get enough of it
Hi Nancy, I'm based in Ireland as well and wonder why my GP automatically put me on omeprazole? Is ACV not recognized as a treatment to them?
That’s great to hear. Thanks for sharing.
Try also eating red apples for acid reflux. You have to dilute ACV because of vinegar. It is acidic. The apple ingredient in ACV is the one that works.

Many ways have been suggested.
WOW! That’s good to know!! THX 🙏
Yes, I had the same reaction with Gatoraid

Whelp, sharing your experiences helped me tremendously! It made me re-evaluate my GERD situation (same symptoms) and I started taking your recipe starting last summer. SO I've learned to manage how much I eat, chew more and chew slow. DOn't be scared, it's alright and it'll be so worth it.
This looks for any abnormal bacteria in your digestive tract
3-Breath tests.
I hope this works for you and may your father rest in peace
I hope you're doing well. Any updates so far?
My wife also had Acid Reflux. About 6 months ago we switched to Keto, and she found the ACV tonic. We end up placing 2TBSP Lemon Juice, 2TBSP ACV, 1/8 TSP Ground Ginger, 1/8 TSP Ground Cinnamon, 2-3 squirts of Stevia, one scoop of unflavored collagen, and fill the rest of the 32oz with water and ice.
Thank you! 😊

This is exactly my experience. Older folks can have lower stomach acid. I take a shot of ACV cut 50-50 with water. It takes somewhere between 20-30 seconds for symptoms to subside. Simple, but very effective.
That's pretty much what I do now, but I do it before bed a couple times per week. Works wonderfully.
how are you now ? I am suffering too lately
So grateful

how is it going
Hi any update or placebo effect?
update?
I have H Pylori (currently treating) and it was the reason my GERD began. Unfortunately, H Pylori causes gut inflammation so starting ACV (whether your stomach acid is low or not) is too harsh on the gut. It's important to heal the inflammation with less harsh of foods like cabbage to help heal the stomach. So anyone that has no luck with the ACV route, you may want to check for other ailments causing the GERD before treating it and ACV will definitely help after that inflammation is treated.
I Drink cabbage juice when i had h.pylori, since antibiotics gave me side effects after 6 days of taking it.
How about celery juice?
How to check if inflammation is cured?

Great solution to all the GERD sufferers like me. I’d also recommend steam inhalation by adding a table spoon of ACV in hot water, especially if you’re also having trouble with sinuses, blocked nostrils and so on. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed…
Great tip
Yes tried this with hot water works good what is acv? thankyou

Do you drink it with hot water
It’s interesting that you mention sinuses, I have sinus issues in addition to acid reflux. Is there a correlation?
This video has been huge for me, thank you for putting it up. I was desperate for help with my gerd, the ppis were horrible with side effects. I went from having to use PPIs + antiacids daily to being off the PPIs and only occasionally taking antiacids. I'm even to the point where I might go a week without having to drink any acv.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience. I'm also on about a once or twice per week schedule myself now.
A recent upper endoscopy showed that I have esophagitis and gastritis in my stomach, wouldn’t acv irritate this condition? I’m waiting for results of my biopsies and am a nervous wreck! Please let me know if it’s safe for me to try this?
@@totallychillgirl8072 that’s a good questions

How to make easy apple vinegar at home?
how are you now ? I am suffering too lately
Sir, thank you for making this, honest, and to the point video, so others could possibly use this technique, to help with their acid problems.
Totally agree.
That acid reflux is real. Right now I’m on medications for it. Should I discontinue taking and rely on the ACV or compliment the medication with the ACV?
Good advice Diane, I hope your husband is doing ok.

You rock!!
Thank you for sharing your story. I'm so glad it worked for you.

To note for others, many suggest not drinking the acv totally straight but diluted at least some, for more comfort going down.

My life long SEVERE GERD has practically disappeared. Even with indulging a little bit yesterday on thanksgiving I have not had the horrific night time reflux that has regularly resulted in actual aspiration of bits of acid into my lungs. Hello how' your progress right now?
An anecdote readers may find interesting:
I am an avid fan of spicy food & hot sauce since 6th grade. (I tried a few, but it's usually a waste of hot sauce ;) )
In short -- over a decade or so, the times of NOT eating spicy food correspond to times of getting reflux.
I actually found these videos that seem to confirm my suspicion while researching probiotics & bio-hacking.
I mean simply cutting back on the amount of hot sauce you have might be enough to help you
@@SinisterAnimationS Thanks, but the whole point of the comment is that when I eat less spice / "normal" then I get heartburn like everyone else.
Basically take all the "When I eat Thai food / Taco bell / hot sauce..." anecdotes & stereotypes and rewrite them with "When I eat a lot of ice cream, cake, or pie..."
My hypothesis has for a long time been that it's related to interaction of the acids with the sugars - not one or the other.

What is digestive bitters? Could you say the name what you had please?
