You can do it easier by inserting a magnet in the front under the circle and it works the same way without cutting any wires so if you lift the lid and you’ll see you at the very front they’re a little square rectangular square if you fill that base with a magnet it’ll do the same thing
Lets gooooo finally I don't have to sit here for 10 minutes slamming it up and down and trying to move the k-cup to get a cup of coffee worked excellent thank you so much
Yup did this because the sensor actually died and it refused to brew at all. You could tape or glue a neodymium fridge magnet to the center of the locking bar to trick the full menu sensor in to registering full use made. If you want to brew a full carafe then the second one in the base needs to detect it has the k carafe. Same deal a magnetic switch. 😂
I'm going after it this week. I'll give myself a little extra time since these how to videos for me work, but never as quickly or as smoothly as the video. lol. But thanks for this one.
When I cut the Green wire, I no longer get any menu? I have K2.400 Before Cutting the Green wire I would get the K-Cup menu if K cup was inside or Water menu if it were empty. I got neither with cut green wire. I went ahead and connected the two black wires going to magnet but got same results. I finally had to reconnect the Green wire ( very difficult) but I got it back to work. It is working just like it was BEFORE even with black wires connected. I do not see the Full Menu with all of the numbered options. Any ideas are greatly appreciated because the video was perfect in describing what to do.
It worked! I saw another video but they didnt do a good job explaing the difference between wach mod. I was really upset when i realized it only used k2.0 cups bc thats so much extra money. Plus, there and off brand that makes apple cider. Ive never seen a kuerig affiliate make apple cider. Anywho, it took me like 15-20 of trying to be super careful since i was afraid to break it. Im so happy!
30 seconds from zero to cofee. This also works if the k cup color sensor stops working. The wires go to a magnetic Reed switch. The magnet that activates it is in the lower assembly that activates if the bigger size pod is put in. A small neodymium fridge magnet can bypass it as needed without needing to actually do the second part.❤
@charlie0742001 in the notch at the bottom close to the unit where the k carafe sits. There is a magnetic switch there and if activated gives the full menu.
I found a better video were he just used a shish kabob stick not cutting wire's and no taping necessary you should have watched that video before you did that to your Keurig 😂 but why work that hard when you could have done it the easy way now you will know next time when you're Keurig burns up
I did this mod a few years ago now and have had zero problems. You should share a link to this other video on here so other people can make their own decision to which method they prefer.

Thank you sir for sharing this knowledge.

Simple , easy walk through! Thank you
Worked great !!

This worked like a charm. Thank you so much for the excellent tutorial❤️
When you clicked the carafe option in the video it still flashed insert carafe. That is what i need to disable.
That was impressive!

Glad that I could help you!
Thank you for this video. I was so frustrated I had to find a video to fix this problem
Thanks for this great easy fix!

where do you put the magnet?

Did the changes had to revert back and connect black wires to magnet. The preset menus would not pump proper amount of water
Worked like a fucking charm! Thank you so much for this video. It was actually much easier than I thought it would be. 😊
Which wire would it be if all your wires are all black and only 1 red. Model 2.0 K500 2018 purched?
I wouldn't do anything if that's the case
Does this eliminate the bs requirements of only Keurig brand k cups working in the machine
Yes, I was able to last month buy Amazon pods 100 count for $8 on sale . Thats $.08 a pod
What if you can’t see the screen after it comes on? It looks as though it was wet or something. Can that be repaired?
I just cut the wires as instructed on the video for my keurig 2.0 400 and nothing happens I only can get up to 10 Oz cup
Seems weird, I have done several keurig's and has always worked for me.
@@RoadMisfit187 I fixed the issue was the wire came loose and that’s why didn’t work I got some real electrical tape and it’s working now thank you
Sorry, didn't work for me, both hacks failed...
