"Bruce Lee
On paper, Bruce Lee might not strike the average guy as all that impressive. Arguably the most influential martial artist of all time, Lee stood just 5-foot-7 and weighed as little as 125 pounds for a large part of his acting and fighting career. When Lee was at his leanest, his waist measured just 26 inches. And he got that way not only because of his insatiable work ethic, but because of the way he continuously evolved his training regimen.
In his book, The Art of Expressing the Human Body, Lee advocates the sort of resistance training and core-strengthening routines now championed by programs like P90X (and our own Men’s Health Anarchy workout). That’s part of the reason even Hollywood’s strongest men felt inspired by his fitness level.
“Bruce took off his T-shirt, and I marveled again, as I always did every time I saw his physique,” Chuck Norris once said. “He had muscles on muscles.”
Even Arnold was impressed. “Bruce Lee had a very-and I mean a very-defined physique,” Schwarzenegger once said. “He probably had one of the lowest body-fat counts of any athlete around ... He was one of a kind, an idol.”
Bruce Lee was ranked the 2nd fittest man of all time. 48. Jet Li, 46. Dwayne Johnson, 18. Chuck Norris, 15. Muhammad Ali, 12. Sly Stallone, 7. CR7, 3. Arnold Schwarzenegger - (You can find the 1st at bottom of this comment)

Have you heard of him ?
What is exactly meant by "fittest"? He was dead at 32. ffs.
After his collapse in May 1973 (two months prior to his death) he went to LA to see a doctor, a specialist, to find out what caused his almost fatal brain swelling. Well, the doctor found everything all right in Bruce's body (couldn't reveal the reason of his "unwellness"), and following the examinations, he came to the conclusion that Lee was so fit like a 18 year old young guy.
I would say Number One,and what a Legend he was.
Hungary599 x
Who's number 1?
Hollywood just wasn't prepared for Bruce's skill. He was a trailblazer for martial arts and Asian actors. A legend.
I know. That’s always the case in America with people of color. I mean, having a TV show given to David Carradine, a white guy, because Bruce looked too “Asian”? WTF does that mean?
@@cedjazz I hear that. The TV executives would say 'audiences aren't ready for Asian actors' when in fact those executives were racist. Audiences didn't care about colour.
W.M. Aslam - Author Dumbasses in those days could have made him a star immediately.
@@dancindavey1515 and made a fortune in the process. The Chinese market alone would have made them millions.
@@cedjazz Ironic: On the T.V serie's makers' advice, D.Carradine hired B.Lee for a M.Arts lesson, learnt a few moves, then went back to the studios where he started shooting the series' 1st episode. B.Lee didn't realize how much he was used until he watched the work on the T.V. D.Carradine revealed in an interview, decades later, that he knew nothing about M.Arts or Kung-Fu.
I hate that people who press dislike button for bruce lee he is a real hero he is a legend plzzz respect him
I love Bruce lee
3:54 The way he put his sunglasses... BADASS!
Bruce Lee dominants the screen.
That kick to the ceiling light was breathtaking!
I used to kick higher ceiling lights in the 1980s not joking
*YOU* are breathtaking
Very iconic moment
In Bombay Hindi films and in South Indian films, the heroes generally are seen to do much better striking scenes.
You're breathtaking
We're all breathtaking
Don't let Bruce Lee redecorate your office.
Or your face
LOL !!!
Well you better take the money.on second that, get a plane ticket to Bermuda.
🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂
Funny!
why people talking shit on bruce, he wasnt directing the scene nor supervising, he just did what they told him to, and did an amazing job
584999772 ZARAGOZAHYUNDAI7I.
Bruce Lee's menacing smile is absolutely terrifying. He played Winslow Wong perfectly. He actually didn't have to cause that destruction to Marlowe's office. Just looking at the way and manner that he carried himself should've sent chills up and down the spine.
Lesson here - When Bruce Lee makes an offer, you take it.
Lol
Hahaha!!
TotenAuge (DeadEye) damn right
Yes very true otherwise everything mess up :)
In the second fight (not shown) he takes a flying kick at Garner , misses and flies off a high rise balcony and dies . LOL
How many want to walk into your bosses office and do that
lol
Me for sure
me
Думаю очень много кто хотел бы так сделать😀
😂
Bruce is so charming here. When he smiles the room lights up
without skipping a beat he turns deadly serious, His eyes look like a cobra eyeing its prey
Brilliant acting.
He’s cute as hell
Most people go crazy when money is taken from them.
Bruce goes crazy when money is refused to be taken from him.
😂😂🤣HA HA HA!

I'd take that money. But would rather take his training if I could instead.

...and all that whilst wearing a tight 70's suit.
Such a classic scene. James Garner provides the witty dialogue, while Bruce Lee provides the martial arts mayhem.

True; I dug that "... rather spill money than blood" line. Cool.
I could do that 11 years ago now my fitness is not that gud
Damn their dialogue is fire.
Who sent you?
"A man who would rather spill money than blood"
But
"Will also blood if he has no other choice".
he closed the door at the end like so epic....
How he closes what's left of the door...
I love the way he puts on his shades in the typical Bruce Lee way.

The Great Master Bruce Lee,? There will never be another like him,? In our lifetime. Taken away from the World so young & to early? May he R.I.P..? For you are Sadly missed by all of your Fans
Holy crap, I didn't know he was a interior decorater too!😆
We love and miss you Bruce, rest in peace Sifu.🕊
Move like a human wrecking ball- with 2 cranes for legs.
Unfortunately there are some Bruce Lee haters, who are envious of his
success. They claim that he was not a "real fighter", who didn't take
part in martial art tournaments. But they should know that Bruce was
before everything else an actor (in addition a super one), and a kung-fu
trainer. He didn't say that "I am the greatest martial artist in the
world", he concentrated only on his job, he did his best, and so he
became a legend. Rightfully, on his own. By his industry and enormous amount of talent.
There will always be immature haters who have never done anything great in their life.
Actually there was a quote from him saying "He can beat up anyone in the world", but I do disagree that he is the best martial artist. He is however, the greatest Martial Artist ambassador and inspiration.
He's more focus to street fight when he got that martial skill, thats how he apply.. not fighting with a martial artist whom take just one kick to the face and then cry in pain while the referee stop the fight lol
He was a martial artist first and foremost above anything else! And didn’t need to go to a tournament to prove anything to anybody. He knew fighting and the art of fighting like nobody else. He was also the first mixed martial artist, taking things from different styles because they all worked in real fighting. Acting was secondary to who he really was as a person and spiritually.
I beg to dither, jm HE DID FIGHT but not in competions, he fought for real when it was clear his challenger was not going to go away-different world to ring fighting, he didnt need to film it ---not a big head mouthpiece from the ego ring-- charles bronson did a good take on that in Streetfighter-
Rest in peace Mr. Garner. Your chillin' with Bruce now.
I recorded this video from the TNT (now TCM) movie channel back in 1996. Fortunately, the VHS cassette (i used) was a good quality.

I've been into MA and fan of Bruce since before his death in 73.
Here is some interesting info that's generally washed over and hidden from media and public.
The classic animal sounds and battle cries you hear in the movies from Bruce were actually dubbed and not Bruce. Here in this clip you'll actually get to hear Bruce's own real kung fu battle cries 👍
CHRIS: In terms of the Mandarin/Cantonese versions of the Big Boss/Fists of Fury/Way of the Dragon, and both the international and Warner Bros version of Enter The Dragon, the source of the animal noises/battle cries is Bruce Lee. The Little Dragon only filmed about 28 minutes of footage for Game of Death, and no sound or music was created for that footage, so the 1978 Asian release of the film contained war cries culled from Lee's other films. The war cries heard in the U.S. versions of Fists of Fury, Chinese Connection, Return of the Dragon, and Game of Death were from people not named Bruce Lee.
that is completely false. In his early days he sounded like this. Also as Kato. That was his voice in the movies. He had to dub them in, but it was him. Starting with fist of fury.
The amount of destruction he caused in 10 seconds is mesmerizing!
Pure energy from Bruce Lee. Absolute madness. Raw Chi.
I always loved how he *ENDS* that door at 3:41.
Loved those scenes in Marlowe , Everything Bruce did was outstanding - Bruce Lee The Legend The Best Ever !!!!

Even Arnold Schwarzenegger is impressed :
“Bruce Lee had a very-and I mean a very-defined physique,” Schwarzenegger once said. “He probably had one of the lowest body-fat counts of any athlete around ... He was one of a kind, an idol.”
"Boards don't fight back." - Bruce Lee
"Boards don't hit back." - Bruce Lee
its true boards don't fight back...but i snap u into pieces ahahahah
He punched random stuff at the end, they didn’t fight back for some reason
“Doors don’t hit back.” -Bruce Le
But boards can break your bones.
That’s the moment when Bruce lee became a whole Corleone XD
if Bruce Lee were to be still alive, he would be one of the world riches Actor and most popular in the entire world, just just of his acting skill in front of the camera, because of his overall wisdoms. He has achieve an enlightment in Martial Arts that no other has.
At the time only Steve McQueen and a few other made millions in films.
Bruce Lee was going to make millions after Enter the Dragon.
Jackie Chan and Chow Yun-Fat done really well and they both made hundreds of millions.
Bruce was fantastic. I still miss him to this day
The thing about Bruce that made his so great was not only was he a trailblazing martial artist, but his charisma was off the charts. You just can't teach that. It is born that way. He had it, but it took him years and extremely hard work and incredible dedication of his part for him to get finally noticed. If he didn't go off to Asia to make and complete 3 of his films, who knows what his career path might have lead too. His success at Golden Harvest, gave him the opportunity to make Enter the Dragon. Sadly that was the last film he would complete. And a bit of final trivia. The beginning of ETD when Lee fights Sammo Hung, well that was the last time Bruce was filmed for the big screen. RIP
The way Bruce moves and so quick , amazing , unbelievable!!
Jack Mehan ...rules hinders a fighters skills(too many rules)
Speed kills
Bruce Lee did all the damages with his punches and kicks in less thann 10 seconds. I will need a baseball bat to do the same damages in probably about 15 seconds. RIP legend.
I so much enjoy open hand martial arts with the master..! Oh yes I'm talking about Bruce Lee.
That’s the best interior design job I’ve ever seen!! Bruce was a showstopper!!

Bruce Lee and James Garner (who played Marlowe) were good friends in real life. Bruce was also friends with Steve McQueen, James Coburn and some other well known stars of that era.
Aww man, even when he's bad, he looks so cool doing it, lol he's the man..
... but also from a man who doesn't mind spilling blood if he has no other choice...
when he said that it was completely believable I love the writer and nobody else could have did that role BUT " Bruce Lee "💯💙👑👑👑
James Garner (with black belt) also was one of Bruce's students.
"Five hundred dollars."
"For that, you can kick the ceiling in."
Great line.
That kick at 3:39 is awesome.
Except he was an idiot for looking up on the lamp as glass can easily fall into his eyes and blind him . He's one lucky man .
I guess even pros make mistakes . No-one is perfect .

This movie is the reason I say: "Does your mother know what you do for a living?!" Since 1972, when I was seven!!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
The Bruce Lee in movies fought very differently than Bruce Lee fighting for real. When he really fought there was no expression on his face, just determination.
He would look at you coldly through piercing eyes. He called it "controlled cruelty".
I think chuck Norris look !! Too was chillin
bruce been teaching everyone on film that's the only way to show the whole world what he's about my idol!

Funniest introduction I've ever seen in a movie. Bruce had great sense of humor also.
Pure and raw. No one have ever seen. Prejudice yes, but he didn’t let none of the above stop him. Death did. To this day he’s legendary. Black or white, red or brown. Nothing stopped him. Bruce Lee lives on. That why I loved Martial Arts 😌👍👍
I love Bruce Lee he is my dad
+Monwell Mcgee I always thought that Brandon was his only son. But i can be wrong :)

Those angry people coming through that door was hilarious! 😂😂😂
I remember seeing this movie, I was living in New York City, I went to 42nd street they had a bunch of theaters that would give martial arts movies for 3 bucks you saw three movies, I remember going after school to watch Bruce lee movies even made my own num chucks and wore Chinese sandals.
Man those were good times. Bruce lee your still my hero.
Bruce Lee & James Garner were very charismatic men. I am pretty sure something doesn't quite go to plan at 03:36. I suspect that the water dispenser is meant to topple over. It's as if Bruce Lee is waiting for that to happen...
beatnuts1uk
What do you mean? He completely Demolished the entire office!
The water cooler didn’t matter much one way or another😂😂😂.
beatnuts1uk U didnt happen to know water bottles were made of glass back, those days? if it toppled, not only shards would flying around, the water would soak bruce's trousers, which would definitely a bad idea
I was thinking the same thing, and then maybe he puts a little extra oomph in kicking the ceiling light to make up for that small mistake.
An interesting article : screenrant.com/bruce-lee-actors-trained-martial-arts/ (Every actor Bruce Lee trained)
And the lamp ended up paying the price
I wonder how many takes that scene took. If just one, man Bruce Lee was a heck of a performer.
After i watched a Bruce Lee movie and came out of the cinema, i thought i was a "superman" teached by Bruce Lee personally :)
He was such an influental and inpsirational person, that you couldn't ignore him even if you weren't interested in martial arts too much.
After that same film thousands of chairs, planks and pieces of wood were chopped suey.
Hungary599 I studied Bruce Lee since I was 14 yrs old. I would watch his movies a hundred times if I had too. He was so inspiring for a small framed female. RIP Bruce
FlyingEagle Dawson He had a young female fan, who wanted to know more about martial arts. It was at the time, when Bruce Lee played "Kato" in the Green Hornet. So, she wrote a letter to Bruce, who took the trouble and answered ! Here's his response : www.kepfeltoltes.eu/images/hdd1/2018/08/06/326Bruce_Lee_letter.jpg
I'm a huge fan of Raymond Chandler...Rockford Files.....and Bruce Lee.....what could be better than combining all three....this is classic...
Pause the vid at 2:56 and notice how protruded are Lee'knuckles even with hus hand open.

I paid visit to Robert Baker's house -a good 3 times. He stared as the Russian (The Chinese Connection movie.) He had a set up in his garage like B.L. ( Bruce Lee.) He did some demos 4 me caz i questioned him about his training W/ Lee. He told me B.L. would over workout. Indeed Baker had gd speed since he wked out W/ Bruce. When i see thunder & lighting: i think of Lee- NO one yet has matched his skills. In fact, film makers asked him to slow down-as NO one could time him. He s still # 1, Thx!
Even then you could see the star power in him!
I'm really surprised that Bruce Lee's daughter or her children have not been taken into the movie industry

because it was better with carradine
THANK U .🙏💖..
Carradine was better suited for the role of a monk. Bruce over-acted too much and would have been a bit too nervous and jumpy to show that serenity. Let 's be honest.
I agree! The series would have been so much better! Of course he might have portrayed the character a bit different... actually I hope he would have... I watched the series and found it a bit lame on many occasions... it's so obviously a hippie kumbaya pseudo Eastern with a bit of martial arts of sorts thrown in... like the Beatles hanging out in Ashrams 😏 they couldn't have made it like that at any other time. Bruce Lee would have been awesome! He's much more screen presence and swag which I would have loved to see. But I'm sure the producers were much happier with their version of an Asian male .um....hero🙄
