      As Bruce was a fight stunt director he was probably the idea behind this scene which ended his dynamic short role in this movie with Bruce's rye sense of humour it was not meant to be taken seriously.

    • @rocistone6570

      Can you blame him? This is a classic lesson in "How not to do Television" Bad choreography, constricted shots (One of which they had to use to get the dive off of the "building") insipid dialogue, Ice cream suits, so much that's so wrong! So cliche. I'd look up the director of this mess, and name them, but is it really worth the trouble? No one remembers "Marlowe." "Rockford" was much better done.
      Watching something like this schlock reminds you of what an awful time Bruce Lee had in Hollywood, mostly fighting brain dead "Producers" whose instinctive reaction was the "male Oriental=coolie, female Oriental= Lotus Blossom/Dragon Lady" pigeonhole. When Orientals and other actors could not, or would not "fit in" you got slop like this, done by people who never bothered to discover what (or whom) they had, and never using them in any roles of depth or character beyond cardboard.

      The west has not changed. It still treats talented minorities in this way. It breaks them, exploits them and steals their ideas. It sucks them dry. For a minority to become successful in the west they have to be servile to the westerner. They become successful at being servents. Nothing more and nothing less.If you are proud and from a minority background, you have to work ten times as hard as a native to become successful.

      @Kadir Kurtdemir god bless you for this incredibly accurate statement. I am a university student in a part of the UK where everyone is white with a very small minority of coloureds. I am the top student in my course where both students and lecturers have made my life at this university a living hell....racial abuse, exploitation and bullying like nothing you have ever seen in your life. I have been verbally and physically assaulted. When I had enough of it all and decided to report the violence, senior staff on the course used the opportunity to distort the issue, steal my research ideas and suspend me from the university......they took everything from me....truly if you succeed they will not let you live long....they will destroy your life.....and render you dead.

      My heart goes out to all hard working students from minorities at universities in the UK who have been abused, exploited and whose hard work has gone for nothing. I know there are many such students out there.
      My advice to minority students in higher education in the West, keep your head down and do not whatever you do stand out. Don't challenge anyone. Do not report anyone that does anything wrong. Do your best to graduate with whatever they are willing to give you then take your degree and go back home and use it to build your own country.

    a lot of people forget that Bruce had a warped sense of humor and actually enjoyed this comedic scene since it actually showed his "art of fighting without fighting" idealism plus I see where Jet Li's LW4 Wa Sei Ku villian was derived from. It looked weird seeing Bruce as a bad guy but it worked.

    • @Hungary599
      @Hungary599  10 років тому +7

      Bruce had learned that in Hollywood you have to make compromises. He didn't like it but he couldn't do anything else but to accept that. Bruce's wife, Linda also spoke about it. Bruce was frustrated because his talent wasn't appreciated enough. He got just small parts in television series and in films in the US.
      In Hongkong, he was his "own boss" and it clearly reflected in his Hongkong movies.They were masterpieces, made by Bruce Lee personally.

    Before Winslow Wong met his doom on the cement, he accidentally teleported through universes and dimensions, because his side kick functions like Mario's backwards long jump. Once he discovered this power of travelling, he managed to save Chen Zhen from the firing Brigade, and then recruited all of Bruce Lee's other characters. He then saves our universe's Bruce Lee by extracting his soul and generating a new body for him. Bruce Lee did the same for Brandon Lee and all of his characters. Now they go around the multiverse stopping threats. Soon, Bruce and Brandon will return to our universe.

    When you have a loving wife and a family then everything else (no matter what) is just secondary.
    Money itself can't buy happiness.
    Bruce had a family and he had lot of friends. He wasn't very rich. He died before having worldwide success.
    But in all, I think that he was satisfied with his life and with that what he had achieved in his short life.

    It's amazing. Even a professional body builder could be envy of a strength like that.
    But as time passed by he became thinier and thinier. Something was wrong with him. During shooting the ETD he looked sick by losing so much weight. I think that it could be related to his untimely death.

      @Shinbusan 3 роки тому

      @@Hungary599 I heard and read a lot of theories many years ago. All made up in western world. In eastern the reason was well known from the beginning as there was an autopsy made during investigation. And the reason is very down-to-earth - cerebral edema, which happen once more before his death and was diagnosed in hospital.
      Type in google "bruce lee cause of death", you will find all details, including investigation by expert recommended by Scotland Yard.

    • @Hungary599
      @Hungary599  3 роки тому +1

      @@Shinbusan I know that very well, my friend. It's not a novelty. The question is : what caused that cerebral odema ? The painkiller, Betty Ting Pei gave Bruce couldn't be the reason. Lee had a similar seizure two months prior to his death, and then he didn't take that pill. Some believe that he suffered a head stroke due to the hot Hong Kong climate, and because he had his armpit sweat glands removed. Forensic pathologist Michael Hunter believes Lee suffered from an “adrenal crisis” thanks to an overdose of cortisone, which Lee took for back pain. As you can see, his death is still a mystery and surrounded by never ending speculations.
