I totally agree. The drop in filter adapter was a main reason to buy the R. I have two super wide angle lenses, where a CPL was impossible or unpayable. So, with the R and the drop in adapter it is now very easy. On the R I use a smalrig case instead of the battery grip. Since May I also have the R5 (had a prototype before). With that I use the battery grip

I set my ring to ISO and to 1/2 push on shutter button to engage it. Prevents accidentaly changing it. The charger is GREAT on the grip!!

Yeah that would have been perfect. Definitely does give some incentive to use EF glass still.
