    I don't use the EOS R for much video ( mainly stills) but I appreciate your videos and information. Thanks.

    These are good recommendations based upon my experience. I'm a long-time still photographer that has just gotten into basic video. I have most of these but am still looking for a good strap. I'll take another look at yours. I want detachable. Just got a variable ND filter and have shot some tests with it. I sure need it on those sunny days. Thanks.

    Hey, got exactly the same accessories for my R except I use Lee ND's -I don't do much video. The PD clips are essential & versatile & I wear two because I normally have two cameras with me -you don't need an extra hand to change cameras & lenses.

      Lee filters are great! Yes, Those PD clips are very versatile and the perfect accessory to a two camera setup. Thanks for the comment Alan 👍🏼

    Awesome video! I just picked up the M50 and have been using the Rode VideoMicro with it. Killer combo. Keep up the great video content! 🔥🙌

    Great video!! The only suggestion I have for you is the mic, has clips around the circular base you clip the cable onto it so the mic doesn’t point downward

      Much appreciated Jonathan! Great tip! For my purposes, I adjust every now and again, but most of the time I leave as is because of the way I position the camera and the angle aligns with my voice. I really appreciate your comment 👊🏼

    So on the Allen key. They include an Allen key in the pouch as a key ring. I keep it on my keys and use it for everything. I’ve seen many reviews gripe about the Allen key without mentioning this so I though this pointing out.

      I appreciate the comment and the suggestion. I personally ended up keeping a small wrench set in my camera bag.

    Any suggestions on where to find the loop style bolt for the clip mount? I'm worried about the allen key/wrench get confiscated at airport security when traveling.

    Aloha Pablo! Thanks for another great video - always love your energy. I've got the camera strap clips too. When I got my EOS R, Tony from Hawaii Pro Camera told me those were a must - he was right! I also have the Rode with make-up brush (my daughter calls it the poofy thing). I'm considering purchasing an ND filter - thanks for sharing what you use. I've been considering the Canon drop-in variable ND at $400. The one you are using is more economical. Do you have an opinion on the Canon ND? Thanks and take care. Mahalo and Aloha!

      808Flyer Haha, yes the puffy thing is a great mic. Good tip from your local photography store for sure! I hear good things about the drop in filters. One thing To consider is there is an extra cost If you want to replace the nd filter with a clear filter or polarizer. Otherwise, you will have a 1.5 stop of light and might be a problem in low light. Thanks as always brother!!! Btw, would love to address you by your name if possible, I appreciate the support 👊🏼

    Hi Buenos Diaz Imagery,
    Thanks for this list!
    Do you use step up rings for the Polar Pro 82mm and if so, how does it perform?
    What lenses are you using? RF or EF or both and which focal lengths are your to go lenses?
    Thanks and keep the content coming!

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  4 роки тому +1

      Nomad 24 Thanks for the great questions. Yes, I use a whole set of step up and step down rings. For this particular camera I go from 82 mm and use a step down ring to 77 mm. My main lens and I use it all the time is the 24 to 105, F4 lens. I absolutely love this lens in fact I made a whole video about it. It’s the most versatile lens in the RF lineup. I mostly shoot RF on this lens but I do shoot EF and Throw vintage lenses on it from time to time.

    Great video as always...could you explain why does the 2-5 ND instead of the other? Or just do a comparison video I’ll really appreciate it.... thank you

      Hi Hugo, thank you my friend. Are you referring to the 2-5 stop ND vs the 6-9 stop ND? Let me know, thanks!

    • @Hugodra
      @Hugodra 4 роки тому +1

      @Buenos Diaz Imagery correct I’m not completely sure of what advantages one has over the other one? And in photography what use can I give them? Thanks again sir

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  4 роки тому

      Got it, Thanks for the clarification Hugo. Let’s say it’s the middle of the afternoon and you want smooth out clouds or water in your image, you can do this by slowing down your shutter but this also brings in a lot of light which will over expose your image. You can put it in neutral density filter or ND filter on your camera, it’s kind of like putting sunglasses on your camera lens and this will allow you to slow down your shutter depending on how strong the ND filter is. A 2-5 stop variable ND filter is not as strong as a 6-9 stop ND filter. The number of darkness that you will need on your lens will depend on the scene that you were trying to shoot. Just know that many companies so and the filters in a variety of different formats. While I have the 2 to 5 stop PolarPro ND filter, I also carry an offbrand 10 stop in D when I need to really open up my shutter and reduce the light. I hope this was helpful but I am certainly glad to answer any other questions and help where I can. Thanks again for an awesome question.

    Im a total beginner and I have a quick question, what is an ND filter?

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  2 роки тому

      Hi Shannon, no problem, we all start somewhere. This is a great question. ND stands for Neutral Density. There are different strengths, lighter to darker. Think of these filters as sunglasses for your lens. When there is bright light out and you want to knock the light down, you can attach an ND filter. For example, If I want to shoot a long exposure during the day, this would mean that my shutter speed would be reall y slow like a second or 10 seconds for example. If I did not have an ND filter, my image would be blown out and we would see nothing, however if I attach an ND filter, it darkens the scene, this providing me the ability yo leave my shutter open longer. Hope this helps 👍🏼

    @teemer1282 4 роки тому +1

    with the ND filter, did you need an adapter to fit it onto the lens or was it direct screw on? i also know the filter has 2-5 and 6-9, what are the differences?

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  4 роки тому

      Great questions! I purchased the largest diameter so it would fit any lens I had with step down rings. I purchased the K&F brand, I listed in the description of this video, but any kind would do. The difference in the 2-5 and the 6-9 is the amount of light you can knock down. 2-5 will give you diffused light similar to placing sunglasses on and 6-9 will start to mimic blue hour light to darkness. It all depends are what you trying to shoot or film. For me, I chose the 2-5 for all day use when needed and then for sunset shots, I have separate 10 stop ND filter so I can slow the shutter down.

    Will a hood make a difference? its currently for 45 pounds.

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  4 роки тому

      Gaurav Jain Are you referring to having a lens hood on the camera with the polar pro ND filter? If so, it would be very difficult to manage the filter with a lens hood.

    • @gauravjain2156
      @gauravjain2156 4 роки тому +1

      @@pablodiazphotography my query is more on whether to use a hood with my EOS RP 24-105 STM lens. I saw a few videos which show better blacks and glare reduction in photos and suggesting to use hood all the time. I currently have a hoya UV filter on the lens.

    • @pablodiazphotography
      @pablodiazphotography  4 роки тому

      Got it, no you would not be able to mount a lens hood over the the next filter for the 24-105.
