- After having the best time up the West Coast, I head north along the top of Scotland heading towards John O' Groats, which was just as stunning. Having not really visited much of Scotland before, I was amazed how vast it is, and with endless views and twisty road is every bikers paradise!!

Thanks Shaun. Enjoying the series. The new pastime of wind surfing and Seal clubbing had me in stitches. 😂 Scotland is epic isn’t it.
I'm glad you saw the funny side, not easily done in this day an age!👍🤣
Gallows humour has kept me sane, and I don’t get offended too easily. If I offend you, you have misunderstood me 😁😂
@@Bitwobbley don't be daft, got skin 9 inches thick👍😜
"Seal Clubbing" Absolutely marvelous brother the squaddie humour is the best. 👍
Especially difficult from a surf board I should imagine...😂
Was shocked myself on that one, just plucked it out the air🤣🤣
Seal Clubbing .......😂. good work!
Sorry about that🤣🤣
Thanks Shaun for another cracking video, can't wait for the next one, Ride Safe.😀👍
Thanks Shaun another great video. I’d say we both have the same sense of humour aswell. Love it. Waiting for the next one
Enjoyed that bit, some of those mountains with their distinctive shapes seem to be following you as you head north🤣👍
You’ve got to love Scotland ❤
Really enjoying this series, thanks for taking us along with you!
You're welcome👍😜
Cue epic music :-) Pot Noodles are food of the gods!
The Pot Noodle was a real treat👍😜
Great video - footage and commentary. Looking forward to the rest of the series
I'm still watching, still enjoying 😊
And I'm still editing👍😜
Will watch them all! Always interested in the routes folk take and where they stay. And you just can’t get enough of that scenery, albeit never come across a bus load of Germans before 🤣🤣
And a Bus full of miserable feckers too!🤦♂️🤣
Nice views and relaxed riding. Thanks
Total enjoyment too watch again Shaun, super scenery and roads made for bikers...some of these remind me of back in the sauerland smaller roads up and down the hills and lakes wonderful what more can one ask for....surfin and seal clubbing ahahaha ,british comedy cannot get away with that anymore crying shame after all its comedy .....catch you on the next one Regards Glenn....👍👌
Cheers Glen, glad you enjoyed it👍😜
I like that song.
Another mega episode and edit 🎬👍🏻
Another great episode. That top area is epic. Got to get back up there.....
Thank you Shaun yet another great video. Loving this series, keep up the good work buddy 👍
Many thanks👍😜
Cracking vid mate thank you
Epic mate. Just epic. Watched the whole trip twice so far. Makes me want to get another bike after 10yrs and do something like this. Your editing, commentary & sense of humour shines through.
Inspiring 👍
Best comment ever, must be doing it right?
@@thelikeablerider8800 hell yeh..!
Lovely 😊
Epic mate.. nice one ☝️
👌😎
Just found your channel and really enjoyed it, especially the Scottish trip, I live near Fort William so venture along many of those roads quite regularly. Tiny point, at passing places on single track roads you don’t cross the road into the passing bay, you stop opposite it. You only go into the passing bay if it on your side of the road ie on the left.
Glad your enjoying it👍
I'm aware that's how the passing point should work, just felt more logical to do it that way, and as it wasn't busy thought sod it!
Hi Shaun, new to the channel, but not Scotland / NC500, done it a few times with variations to keep it interesting. Loving the humour! And looks like you've had brilliant weather so far! Always interested in where people stay - A good hotel is always a great recommendation. Mike.
Hi Mike
Thanks for stopping by and dropping a comment. I had an amazing time in Scotland, and there's another 9 episodes for you to catch up on👍😜
Brilliant stuff! Makes me a bit home sick!
I definitely felt plenty of that being back there!
Great footage .
Saw you at the weekender.
Loving it. ❤
The only thing with going clockwise is what you mentioned. The feeling of its over before it is. Going the otherway it builds and builds.
I think you're probably right, but having spent a few days at my folks (who live on the west coast) it made more sense for me to do it that way. I'm not sure I'd do the east coast again, didn't find that as enjoyable!
Enjoying the series Shaun, that wee road from Lochinver round to the Kylesku bridge is an eye opener for some, glad you enjoyed tour overall a bit different from what your used to.
I very much enjoyed it, apart from the Esst Coast, probably wouldn't do that bit again. Everything else was an utter pleasure👍😜
Brilliant, loving your trip around the nc500 I did it four years ago. I’m going to try and get next year but the other way round 👍👍
I think anti clockwise could be the better way to do it, although tbh I probably won't do the East coast again.
Great video Sean. Watching this in hotel whilst on tour. Currently going through Austria on way to Lake Como via Furka.
Oh amazing m8, I'd love to be back on Tour!
Have a great one👍😜
Tickety boo mate😊
Nice vid mate
Cheers Tom👍😎
More seals to club on the west coast...hope you hung a left after Inverness try out that Lecht ski field road through to Balmoral ,Braemar ,Glenshee ...either way win/win
Didn't go as left as I wanted, was on the clock slightly to head south, maybe next time👍😜
You don't seem to be meeting much traffic, take that as a big win. (that weather can't last lol)
Timed it just before the Scotish Sommer holidays, so wasn't exactly peak season.
Live the series mate, been wanting to do the NC500 for a while, roads don’t looks as busy as they are portrayed online
This is exelent.. Any biker that owns up to a sore derier.. 👍 😁 😅😅. Liked and subd Shaun. ❤️🩹🤓🙏🤣❤️🩹
Thanks for coming along for the ride👍😜
I would be very interested in what editing software do you use. Beautiful vidoes that inspire. ❤
I'm glad you enjoyed it! I use Adobe Premiere Pro👍
I've only just stumbled onto your channel. Thanks for the great videos however, I've been trying to figure out what the phone app you're using... microphone setup? Cheers. Chris
Hi Chris
Glad you're enjoying the content! I use the Zoom F2 BT to record my audio, and use the Zoom App to control the audio recorder👍😜
just started watching your scotland tour which im really enjoying but was just wondering how you do your route planning?
I'm glad you're enjoying it! I plan my routes using MyRouteApp in combination with Google maps.
Hello mate… recently subbed to your channel and just working my way through. I noticed you had the KTM1290 after you had your 1st gen XR and you’ve now gone back to another XR gen2. The question is why another XR??
I ask the above as I’m just about to pull the trigger on a used XR gen2 (my 1st BMW). Thanks and really enjoying the channel 👍
I had a bit of a mare with my KTM's service wise, and the second gen XR had just come out, thought bugger it, let's have another! That being said my current XR is now going!🤦♂️🤣 find it to uncomfortable on longer runs, which is a shame as I love the thing otherwise. More to come on that issue in further content!
Are you recording audio on your phone or playing music?
My phone controls my audio recorder which was in my pocket👍😜
So how was the pot noodle?
Pretty much gourmet👍😜
With the moaning about the jacket vents, I was gonna say that's the true Brit coming out of you. We do like to moan about 1st world issues you know 😂
Anyway, back to a serious note, how are you finding living with an inline 4 after the 2 v-twins? I know for a fact the v-twins will be more fun but that doesn't make them better to live with. I'm coming up ready for a change and I'm not sure I'm ready to change from a v-twin to an inline 4, but after having bought a couple of 90's super bikes, I'm thinking maybe I am.... 🤔
Loving the XR, although still struggling with the comfort on longer runs. I'll be looking at deals towards the end of the year👍😜
He and we would have benefitted more from the views of Scotland had he slowed, maybe a little. Not only was he on narrow single track roads but a lot of the time he was riding with one hand on the handlebars and god knows what he was doing with the other one. At one time he was opening a breather zip on his jacket and quite honestly complaining about how difficult it was. Perhaps with a bit of thought he could have stopped and taken one second to do it instead at about 25 mph. At time his speed was in the 40s and if something else was coming the other way at that same speed his collision would have been at some 80 mph. Not nice on a single road with a long wait for an ambulance. Never mind it looked good and maybe that all that counts..... or is it?
Why do you feel the need to pick peoples lives to pieces, or that you think its your job to tell people where they're going wrong in life? Invest your time in something more worth while!!
@@thelikeablerider8800 They say that a picture is worth a thousand words and so unfortunately we see videos of others riding down a road and doing things that they should not be doing. Those simple things that if they become acceptable would make our roads a much more dangerous place.
So that is why I make comment, whilst the vast majority of viewers seem to want to praise someone. There are those that are inexperienced riders who would be led into bad practises etc. and that would lead them and other road users into trouble.
Many thanks for the life lesson, you have a great day now!👍🤣🤦♂️
