Did the northern expanses of Scotland via car/caravan about 15 yrs ago,now got bike licence & a CBF1000 so saving my pennies to redo that trip via bike. Will be enjoyable as my partner of 30+ yrs has now left me & my pillion from previous trips off has now got young family to care for(daughter used to love being pillion) I would've loved to meet you while you were in UK,but by time I get to know where you were, you've travelled on :P

Loving this series. When I rode the NC500 a couple of years ago I did it anti clock, but this divert will work either way. From Inverness head for Beauly, Muir of Ord, Dingwall, Bonar Bridge and Lairg. From Lairg head back to the A9 (if you're heading North) the A9 from there is reasonably entertaining, especially with a reasonable on shore breeze!

You probably just showed us the nicer bits of the road, but give me a sweeping single carriageway than a single track road any day of the week, no matter what the view! I'm not a fan of tight switchbacks either! I agree about the lack of hangers in hotels!!! Does this negativity make me an honorary German? 😁😉

To be honest there aren't any other roads apart from the A9 that takes you south to Inverness. You can go to Larg I supposed and via ardguy Bonner bridge, still brings you out at Tain.
Agreed! I did take a look beforehand, but like you say, not really any other way of doing it.
@@thelikeablerider8800 I am from Drumnadroicht near Inverness and I travelled that NC500 once a week for work. I could get a cracking route avoiding the A9 but it would add a few miles on.

Is a Comica lav Mic with the Zoom F2 BT audio recorder. The audio is edited of course, it doesn't come straight out of the recorder like that👍😜
I’ve not long come back from riding around the whole of Great Britain on a 50cc ( 2356 miles). I was doing well over 200 miles every day, I wouldn’t recommend it 😂😂😂
