    I’ve just been sent a pair of the G701 gloves for testing too… haven’t wired them in yet but using the battery packs gives more flexibility… I found the visor wiper blade wasn’t too effective but great gloves!

    Heated clothing is an absolute game changer 🤗🔥 The 505 jacket is so comfortable, and the heated trousers on long distance cold rides allows you to stay focused on the road while staying toasty warm ✌️

      It does make you much more aware of what's going on! I quite fancy getting gold of the trousers and socks, will see what I can do to make a follow up video👍

    Great video Shaun,Helen and I both have the jacket and gloves, we are both happy with them but as I’m the one who has to wire it up to the battery, I’d prefer it if they could lengthen the distance between the battery terminal cable and fuseblock, I’ve had this issue on Helen’s AT and my GS, another few inches and I could put the fuse block under the seat nicely tucked away, Keis, if you read this!😀best regards Simmo n Helen, see you at ABR

      Have been looking into the ABR and WWB, but both dates aren't working for my plans currently, needs another jiggle about!

    Heated clothing is a game changer. I started about 4 years ago with just the gloves, then added socks and finally a full inner jacket which replaces the jacket liner. I use Gerbing but I suggest any heated clothing is better than none!

      Amazing how I used to turn my nose up at heated gear, rode for so many years without it, but now I wouldn't go without it🤣

    Great Jacket. Super quality build. Adding a battery off bike is brilliant as well. Purchased it last Spring, and eventually bought the gauntlet gloves as well. Brilliant on a 1200 mile trip that I took mid fall last year. Wore it under my Klim CarlsBad Jacket.

      Yeah I think I'm gonna have to get hold of a battery pack, was I correct with a couple hours battery live?

    Good vlog Shaun, definitely a game changer, I got a jacket and gloves, and I love the fact you can control the heat individually, if I rode more in the cold I would probably get trousers n socks, don't know if they are controlled just with jacket or individually. Any heated gear is a must in the cold. Take care, stay safe 👍 🏍

      I'd imagine the trousers and socks are then controlled via the jacket.

      I probably wouldn't have ventured out at -2 degrees before, but this stuff makes the ride so much more comfortable! The biggest plus is that being warm keeps you much more concerned and aware of what's going on around you.

    I can't find "Premium Extreme J505", but "Premium Extreme J505RP" says one should NOT use it with batteries: „As the heated jacket draws 6.5Amps of current to heat the many different Micro Carbon Fibre heating elements, a portable battery is not recommended to power this garment. It is advised that this heated jacket be powered from a vehicle battery connection.“

    I had a look in the link not over priced for quality for the
    Jacket and trousers. I always find my knees hit the cold and once your core gets cold it’s becomes dangerous .

      @@thelikeablerider8800 older but also wiser , knowing your own limitations . I don’t ride mid winter but the
      Battery pack for general outdoor use inc walking the dog in winter .plus option to plug in on a bike ride , how often do we go out thinking it’s not to cold until you moving and wind factor starts .
      definitely could be a “where have you been all my life purchase “

    Absolutely love my Keis jacket got the same as you but a bit disappointed with the gloves - they are well made and comfortable but the heat doesn’t extend fully to the fingers. They are ok for short rides but not so good on longer really cold rides. Such a shame as the jacket is great.

    • @thebigoaktree8401
      @thebigoaktree8401 9 місяців тому

      My gloves are often so hot that I have to turn them down to med, or low while riding in the low 40’s (Fahrenheit). Refuse to ride in temps any lower than that, roads just become super dangerous at that point.
      Sounds like you may have received a defective pair. It happens some times. I’d contact Keis to see what they will do to help. I bet that they would want to make it right!

      @@thebigoaktree8401 I did contact Keis they said they were working as they should 🥲 I have spoken to many others who’ve found the same so really don’t think it’s a problem with my gloves.

    • @thelikeablerider8800
      @thelikeablerider8800  9 місяців тому +1

      Haven't had that problem this end, they bung out a good amount of heat!
      Needs to be dry cold for me to good out in such cold temps, if there's a hint of ice I'd hang up the gear and drink Glühwein!😜

      Very good so far, but as said in the video only been using them for the past 2/3months. They seem to be very good quality and have showed no signs off having issues.
