    The timing of this video is perfect! I always use after run oil after a track day and the last few times I have noticed the front bearing seeping after being stored for a few days. On the track Ive had 0 tuning issues. I was on the worried side at first because I have less than a gallon through it.
    Thanks for the info!

    Good info 👍
    I also check if I can move the flywheel up down or side to side if I notice any movement at all in the bearings it's a good time to replace them.

    A damaged bearing will not spill oil when running, but it will allow air to enter and cause tuning issues. It will drip oil if running too rich.

    Buku crankcase caps go a long way to helping save the front bearing.

    Literally am in the process of returning a traxxas 3.3 that I broke in and would not tune at all after breaking in. Air pressure checked the engine, and air was leaking through and out of the front bearing.

    Great video again Adam, I had a question for you. I raced on Sunday had a pretty dry loamy track, trains and lanes in Pennsylvania and head seem like my rear end was all over the place. I am running 775 right now in my Diffs I have the MBX8r What should I change to make my rear end from not sliding around so much when I just tap on the throttle little bit seemed a lot looser than every other car on the track.

      Try 7-5-7 in the diffs. You could also try running a little more rear toe-in.

    Hey Adam, so I’m trying to do the rear towing thing. I have it set at the front rear mounts are in the center in and the rear are bottom center should I move the rear bottom out and leave the front one in and center to get more rear, toe, in like you said

    Hey I thought the seal of the crank to block was created by the fuel in the groove on the crank. Is this incorrect? I also thought the rubber seal on the bearing was to keep dirt out not fuel in. Based on the design the pressure from inside the engine would push the seal out. Just an observation and information I have heard.

    • @cassianomartin2699
      @cassianomartin2699 Рік тому +2

      From what I know, yes, there is a groove on the block, or on the crankshaft where is fills with oil, and it acts as a seal.

    There's no such thing as a fully sealed bearing. That is not what seals the engine should look into a little more. Airplane glow engines don't even have a dust shield The groove on the crank is what seals the engine it's a fluid seal. Leakage at the bearing usually means running a little rich which doesn't hurt nothing.
