Hi thanks for your comment. Well, the task was to pick his top 3. From his book and other work he does consider these beneficial. For example EVOO and Walnuts are on his stem cell promoting foods list.

Maybe anti nutrient is a wrong word for oxylaytes, but not even he can denai the contens and negative effects from the 100-s of oxylates in the broccoli.
There are many types of tea. Which kind is he referring to?
Hi thanks for the question. In the book he discusses various teas, from the camellia sinensis (the tea plant), such as green tea, black tea, oolong, matcha etc. These all come from the same plant but are treated in different ways, such as the level of fermentation. They have different levels of various ingredients but Dr Li seems to consider them all beneficial.

It should because caffeine doesn't have a big effect on longevity. It's all the other compounds that are beneficial
Hi Thanks for the question. I think the answer is yes, caffeine was not the key ingredient that Dr Li was talking about. Rather it was the other polyphenols and chlorogenic acid. Although Dr Li did not mention it, coffee also contains trigonelline, which we spoke about recently, a NAD precursor that may help with sarcopenia and mitochondrial health.
How do you make beans to not make you gassy?
Pressure cook them and take digestive enzymes

You need the right gut microbiome, to break down and digest certain compounds in legumes. Otherwise, beans can cause flatulence.
Why is this doctor not mentioning beef as one of the best longevity foods.....the science now proves(along with eggs) that it's a superfood.

Why did you capitalize liver?
The human body makes oxalates endogenously, from glycine and Vitamin C. So avoiding dietary oxalates won't completely eliminate oxalates from the body.
