Hey Dave, convinced me to keep my '17 LT sedan and mod it with different stuff from your site. My wife loves the cruze, I do too, it just leaves a little to be wanted in terms of torque and power off the line. I'm also butthurt because I like the hatchback much better but seeing you and your sedan makes want to buckle down and love my car for what it is.

I will have the money soon and throw the stuffs you made to this car but first I need to tackle the transmission (automatic, yeah I basically wanted this as a gas saver) then go with the mods. You're that one of the guys that make sense contributuing to the Cruze community. I don't want a pocket rocket but a "what it should've been" out from the factory Cruze. I'll keep watching this Cruze Missile series and God bless this channel.

@@davesworld2132 hey bro I would just like too say thanks for the interesting content and your doing well👍🏼 Also here in Australia 🇦🇺 we call these Holden Cruz and alot of the younger guys have got them because they are one of a limited few turbo'd cars you are allowed too drive whilst your learning so LEARNERS AT 16 and then provisionals at 17 and then pretty much full license at 19 so until 19 no Turbo cars allowed to be driven unless it falls under a certain power to weight.. now your probably thinking why the fuck did I just tell you all that well the turbo cars they are allowed to drive they do them up and get more power out of them and our country is ridiculously wealthy and we love to spend alot of money on absolutely nothing lol so you should do some marketing over this way for these bolt on brake kits and intercooler kits and much more I would be happy to help get your name put out there if your looking or interested in a small slice of the Aussie ricer scene 😀 💪🏽🇦🇺
Such a beautiful car love everything about it the color, exhaust, spoiler, wheels overall a beauty in jealous I wish mine was nearly as clean and fast as this one. I have a 2018 gen 2 hatchback. And 1500 dollars to gain that much horsepower and torque is impressive

@@brandonjohnson6304 I have a few tuners in mind. First and foremost my intercooler will help a lot. It gets rid of heatsoak problems that the oem systems causes. It also frees up the oem turbo and allows it to create more power. I can build you a nice wastegate to get some good boost out of the oem turbo as well. My catch can is very important. The oem breather system introduces alot of debris into the intake system clogging up the intercoolers and sensors. This also helps with HP because it keeps the car running clean inside the intake system.
@@davesworld2132 I suspect mine would be the first LE2 engine they tune. Will be running a dyno once the tune is done. Not to sure what numbers to expect with the turbobayperformance turbo. Hope to see yours to do a comparison to see what is the potential.
That could be a fun project. I always liked those. I do have a 2013 Equinox which uses the same platform as the cobalt. I was toying with the idea of having a supercharged engine in that truck.
It would be good to get a list of which mods you’d make and in which order of priority. I’m trying to get the wife on board with making my new Cruze into something more sporty and it would definitely help. Thanks for the helpful feedback already. :)

@@davesworld2132 should I get my tune before I upgrade intercooler? I'm still tuneless... I have a cat back exhaust, k&n cold air intake, and possibly the Go Fast Bits DV+ or the BNR HPRV. In the future the manifold spacer, and the upgraded waste gate.
@@maloo2brvo26 Depends on you as a driver. If your hard on the car and foot to the floor every time you drive. Drag race road race pushing it to 30+ psi ETC. And your not running proper supporting mods then do that asap!!!! But if your car is a week end beater a fun project that doesn't get beat up but you have a heavy foot. And you do lots of maintenance. You may like HP but don't really race. Your car can last a long time on a stock engine with mods. I have a 700hp Corvette on a stock bottom end with a roots type supercharger and supporting fuel and cooling mods and its lasted for 5 years so far.
As soon as it's paid off my wife's Cruze is getting a kswap havnt seen it done what so ever and I figured it would be a hell of a sleeper with around 450whp nobody will expect to get smoked by a Cruze because they are slow AF even with every bolt on possible

@@martintorres7129 Believe it or not that’s actually five different vehicle you are asking about.. v1 1.8 - v1 1.4 - v2 1.4 v2 also has the 2.0 diesel and the V1 has 1.6 diesel. V1 is 2010-2016.5 and the v2 is 2016.5-2019
That's kind of messed up that a shop doesn't want to have recognition . Just a question why all wheel drive dyno? Unless I missed a mod video? This place sounds like I has had a insurance issue in the past. To this day I don't know a shop that doesn't let the owner near their car during a dyno session odd. 😕 at least you some viedo of the runs . 195 hp at the wheel is pretty nice at the wheel . 246 tq that is amazing. You are trying to make a flat line constantly for both in tq. & hp. Like a ls engine. You injectors will max out at 241 hp. I bet you are now at 60 or 70 % injector rate. Thank you for all your time. Bnr has a intake spacer now for 2nd gen. I added one to my gen 1 & it changed it up for the better on low tq & high way speeds. Be safe sir.
I’m still in the process of figuring out what I wanna do with the fuel system. Once I get this turbo on and do some data logs I will be able to figure that out. Ironically I am a big VA guy so it’s no surprise that I’m looking for more of an even linear power band. Possibly those spacers might help with that now that you mention it. It was a little difficult getting footage of the car but at least they let me put a tripod in the room so I can at least show you guys the car on the Dyno. All of the shops that run V-8’s on a Dyno Near me I want it in a saint amount of money to just put my car on it for runs or they just would not let me put this car on the Dyno. This shop specializes on four cylinders and four-wheel-drive cars which is why it’s a four wheel Dyno. But they were in the end nice enough to let me shoot the car.
An AWD dyno has both rollers attached. The rear spins because my FWD car is driving the front rollers. Nothing sus about it. Unless you have never seen an AWD capable dyno.
I'd love to see what this engine can do reliably without being built. Being able to make decent power with bolt-ons and a tune make performance accessible to more of the community.

No offense friend, Those intercooler temperatures u show don't mean a darn thing. Obviously you're smart enough to know that that you need a temperature sensor Before & After the Intercooler, ideally one in the intake. and u need to read them as the pull is going on. I understand you're trying to sell your intercooler kit but don't sell it to people that don't have any idea that's your little temp gun test is in no way revelent. Probably should have kept my mouth shut but I'm a prick. Good luck buddy god bless.
Well you did also say it like one so that’s how it’s perceived this is 100% because of the way you act. The intercooler is in this video because I have an entire other video just about intercoolers explaining a lot more than 30 seconds of me showing a temperature before and after runs. If you watch the entire series and have everything in context then it would make more sense.

I have a 2012 Holden Barina with chev 1.6l engine just need to now we're to get got cheep parts like the PCV valve and such
I can import parts for you if you can’t get them. I also have an upgraded PCV for that engine.
Only thing I've done on my 17' is a K&N intake. I would love to do all of your mods to mine.

Im curious how hard it would be to swap to the manual trans i hate the one wheel peel bs and theres zero lsd options for the auto
Hard and easy at the same time. It will bolt right in but may require a bunch of custom tuning to get it to work right

My Wastegate with custom preload
And a cold air intake.
The intercooler frees up a good amount of power.

Since then I’ve added a big turbo. Larger intercooler abs meth injection. So far it’s been fine.
When would you consider reinforcing the engine with forged pistons etc?
One day. Doesn’t need it yet. And with the right tune and right supporting mods I shouldn’t need to yet.

i got a diesel cruze and spent roughly 1100 usd, make 50% more power than stock and basically half of that amount was actual performance mods
Awesome! Diesels are fantastic for making power you can get a lot just from a tune on those cars!

No the Dyno is an awd Dyno. It matches the rear rotation to the front and vice versa
