Geez, The fit and finish on this car is extremely impressive
I really want to know if the key goes in upside down.
RK F ?
@@yodaguy6956 On older Dodges, the cut on a key went up in the key cylinder.
Jay, l've restored cars for nearly fifty years. I think this is the dawn of a new era. Absolutely amazing!
David Sanchez it’s not an actual charger look it up it’s all carbon hand crafted it only looks like a charger it doesn’t even sit on a charger body it’s custom
Since you have restored for so long, don't you kind of think this is cheating? It's beautiful of course but damn, it doesn't give me the whole "made in the shop" experience, more like conceived in a lab. I am genuinely interested.
@@jasonr6342 to be fair to him, the glass is original. That's it tho. But it still doesnt mean he should hate on because it's so cool.
nah man they want 700k plus for that dude id rather take one for 50k
If I could spec a dream car to my exact preferences, this is the exact car I’d want.
The charger body, massive power, good handling, comfortable interior, manual transmission, modern lighting, exposed carbon fiber, exhaust fit into the rear bumper, black wheels low to the ground.... it’s...it’s perfect.
I wish it had airbags and other safety equipment so that it wasn’t a complete death trap.
@@jeffjob8265 it has a roll cage
I love this: the guy designs, 3D prints, CNCs, and custom makes an entire carbon fiber car and Jay finds the one thing made by someone else - Jay: "are these hood hinges made by the Ring Brothers? I LOVE these!" You can just see the guy's heart sink.
Well sometimes jay says stuff that throws people off. Anti social sometimes lol
I cringed at that as well :)
Screw the Rice Brothers.

Jay is the special guy. No one else who’s featured this vehicle got to drive it. 🤔
Probably cause he’s insured and even if he wasn’t, he can pay for anything if it would get damaged.
donut
Jay has Bugattis from the 40s he is good for the damage
Why should he put it on the show if he doesn't get to drive it. That's the whole point. What a beautiful car.
@@redhauscreator146 he doesn't drive the cars that aren't road legal or if it's a one-off and the owner doesn't want him to(that one big motorcycle).
Love what Moby has done to this car
And ya know if it ever goes wrong you can always bring it back to the shop and ask him,
Why does my car....

He's gonna go now to the east side

My OCD is in full glory! I love the detail work and integration on this car! And the owner is so knowledgeable and well spoken.
Sal Esposito I have something in full glory too. 🤣
Dang it Jay, we wanted to see underneath this one on the lift!! What a beautiful piece of automotive engineering..
Donut media's feature
Or the episode with it on Hoonigans. They take it on the lift. It's clinical under there, and the build quality is amazing.
I'm pretty sure it's done identical to the Tantrum Charger. They put that car on the lift in that video
Long live the manual! Even if they are in custom one off cars
In the uk every one learns manual and at least half the population drives manual.
Maceroni same thing in Germany
If you do your drivers license, you do it on a manual
Ive owned many vehicles, trucks, vans, cars, bikes and refuse to even consider buying an automatic. It just doesnt feel right.
No Mopar should have anything but a pistol grip shifter handle.... every one has a round ball, the pistol grip is ours and NOBODY else ( I know it was only offered on '70 & up cars).... But every Mopar should have one!
@@maceroni5869 unfortunately the manual is dying here in America 😢
So smooth and precise it looks as if it's CGI
It looks animated until you go to touch it somewhere, and then it still looks animated.
thats because A LOT of it is basically 3D printed CGI xd and Carbon never looks real ^^
Dave and Jay so effortlessly talk the talk. It's a treat to hear people talk at this level.
That Charger is one of the best looking cars ever produced. It's amazing how the design holds up today.
Hard to top that one. Great build!
id rather have the red Swedish one
Love ❤️ it!
I like the driving first in the video, talking second. It's easier to pay attention and I don't want to skip forward to get to the best part.
...other than the fact that Jay wasn't listening while driving and you heard the same facts repeated :-)
talking is usually the best part, you can see a lot of videos online of most of cars driving, but not so much information about them out there. Although this car isn't so interesting.
@45 DRAGA i agree although jay didn't seem all that interested with this video. Felt to much like they were trying to sell him a car.
sam newman : If this tech becomes cheaper/production, somehow, scales up, this car will be much cheaper to build for the average Joe than a full scale restoration as you don't need to start with a good/average condition Charger any more. This fact makes this car very interesting in my opinion, as it's an example of a replica manufacturer/classic car restorer taking advantage of the fundamental possibilities modern tech has to offer - rather than using it to effect cosmetic changes and to build various bits of trim alone.
@@Stelios.Posantzis carbon fibre will eventually become dirt cheap as technology progresses. That carbon fibre "look" will seem very dated and very of its time. I imagine eventually carbon fibre will replace most plastics in homes.
I love watching these videos from Jay Leno. He does a great job telling the history and sharing the experience of different cool cars 🚗 👍
the most beautiful car i've ever seen
The most insane build i've ever seen.

FINALLY!!! someone makes replacement fenders for my 70 charger :)
The site says, "Call for price"...

You could just use replacement 68 fenders
Excellent humor!
$1500 or $800 a piece from some sheet metal replacements i found last night
Dead inside Mcgee no you can’t.
Stunning workmanship. love the philosophy behind it.
You bring a car on Jays show he MUST drive it. None of that no touch no drive stuff on Jay Lenos garage!
He's had cars on he didnt drive
I want to get drunk on that supercharge wine!
The build quality and level of details is incredible, David Salvaggio and Speedkore design and build insane vehicles, I know that his work is well known. I remember seeing one of his builds 10-15 years ago, a Black 70 Challenger 572 Hemi, with an injector intake, the car was an exceptional build!
He popped the pins off the hood, then opened the hood with one hand like it’s nothing. Amazing
wow, that car is truly amazing ! it's a beauty and a beast all together
By far the best channel! Love Jays channel motivated me to start my own 🙌 thank you!
That is a nice light weight charger with explanatory specifics by Jay... Love the Demon engine conversion, good Job!
I love that concept of the evolution of hotrodding: printing & molding instead of welding & filler. I love seeing guys and builds that are pushing technology. I have to have one.
Gorgeous Charger! Thanks for sharing Jay. 👍✌️
Damn! That's a big car... The huge engine looks almost tiny in there.
Yeah chargers are kind of fat, but beautiful
The Charger is a huge barge, but it's cool.
That engine looks small in there because it is small. Those current hemis are tiny looking next to a big block Mopar or BBC.
That's the way muscle cars were back then. I had a '68 Toronado with the Olds 455 big block and still practically had enough room to crawl into the bay to work on it.
They're massive tanks standard
YES THANK YOU for doing this episode!!! I've loved these Carbon Chargers since I first seen them!🇺🇸🦅👍

Speedkore's Evolution 2 should be a 69 Dodge Daytona, full carbon with a Hellephant engine!
Yes. Nothing is better then seeing the 3ft tall spoiler, that extra footlong wedge noise. The Daytonna Charger will always hold the first car to break 200 in NASCAR. Second best muscle of all time. The only thing better is the Challenger or the Cuda.
Taillights are 1969 on this car. I'm wondering why?
@@darrellcordova1021 Actually, 69 and 70 models have same tail lights, only difference is tail panel trim
This is literally the most impressive car I have ever seen, It makes my 71 stock'ish' Charger from back in the day. look like a car made of iron a century before this one. Amazing Job.
Future guest: "So we did everything as perfectly as literally possible."
Jay: "Oh, that's great."
Other then the car being lowered, I think they did a really nice job.
it's on air if that helps
Other "than"
USians often seem obsessed with "slamming" cars and using hideous 24" wheels and 15 profile tyres. No style.
@@EliteRock ye! originally muscle car tuning had mudflaps, mangels, higher rear end, side pipes. they looked cool.
@@robertedwardlee8227 I've never liked lowered cars, they look stupid and are totally non-functional in everyday use. This car here would be 100X cooler if it looked like a stock Charger R/T that just happened to be carbon fiber. But they have to make it look trick considering its a $400,000 car
Beautiful Car - Great craftsmanship- I would love to have one!
Wow.....just, wow. Beautiful work.
I like the new cycle of the show, pure driving is the purest way to express the awsomeness of a car
Beautiful car...... I drooled the whole time lmao
A classic muscle car just doesn’t get any better than this
This isn't a classic muscle car. There's not a single original Charger part in it lol. That being said... if Speedkore could kindly start producing new Charger shells made of steel/aliminium, I'd buy one.
Resto-mod is the term. And it doesn't get much better than this. That crate drivetrain itself is going to be at least $20k though.
Yeah it does when one is made out of steel or aluminum.
@@davyrando1203 Yes sir thank you,I learned how to form metal and do body work with my hands as a teenager.
The best cars I ever seen restored or customized by top notch car builders used steel!
Now there's one car that is real and plastic and that's a corvette.
If it ain't steel,it ain't real!
The attention to detail is amazing.
Now that is a breathtaking, nasty muscle car. I enjoy it, that Jay Leno has such a knowledge in regards of cars and an eclectic taste, too. The details, that he sees and hears is amazing. I admire, that builders have the courage to do something different and master all the hurdles that come along the way. Thank you for uploading. Great video.
