Hey.....I have been asking exactly the same question. In fact, I got in touch with RETEVIS and asked them to produce firmware (for licenced radio operators) and turn this radio into FULL HAM mode. They replied and said NO😢😢😢 My Question is......would anyone know what programming software we need to access developer mode and turn this radio in full ham???? Thank you
This is a great radio, I paid $60 for mine when it first came out with a promotion. Just ordered 2 more on Amazon Black Friday for $29.99 each!
Thanks for reviewing these. I think if you update the firmware, you will get updated and easier to read colors on the screen
Interesting to see your belt clip install method. I’ve always taken off the battery when possible to make it easier.
@@KM4ACK I am not that smart Jason 🤣🤣🤣
how are you transmitting in vfo mode? That is a no-no in gmrs. I have an fmrs feng gt-18 and can set it to wide mode in the cps.
Hello
can it be used as a Full working Ham radio with a ham license?

@sekibulja-fu3bv I got telled from a other guy that they will bring out in the next month a version like it but HAM Version. HA1UV was the model.
Sir what is the best for you HA1G or GM-30 plus from Radioddity?
Pretty close race. If you want more power it’s the HA1G for sure. If you want a manageable size then the GM-30
@@HamRadioCrusaderdoes it mean that HA1G has more distance range? Thanks.
@ well it has a higher output wattage. And has a greater potential to reach greater distances
This radio has terrible squelch tail when talking to my other GMRS radios. So bad that I’m going to send it back to Amazon.
