For those of us in the world that can't afford to go out and buy high end cars and then turn around and void some warranties by adding great looking high end lighting, these are a nice alternative. But hey, thanks for sounding like you were insulting us there at the end just because we went the route we could afford. Appreciate it.
I was like damn bro, we can't all spend crazy money on lights. As much as I want to. I actually have these in my headlights now for a budget build I did. I'll save for better parts later but I didn't think they were that bad lol.
Chip_W I’m gonna use these on my wife’s Kia and see how well they do. If you don’t have 1000s to spend on things like custom headlights, I wouldn’t feel bad, I’d feel normal. I certainly don’t have the kind of money to spend that I charge people with even normally modified cars like Subarus and Hyundais.
No insults thrown my dude, I’m sure 99% of my audience drives nicer cars and trucks than my family, no doubt at least lightly modified too.

Just sort of felt like a personal attack after making a comment on a previous video and mentioning the post in your discord linking to my two trucks with instagram videos. I'm not saying it was a personal attack, just saying it felt that way. I'm sorry I came at you like that, It's not the type of person I am.
Keep up with the videos and don't let assholes like me influence the content you put out. I have a set of these on my car for almost a year now. They've lasted well except for one spot where the hood stopper crushed a diode from me slamming it. Otherwise they have held up very well and i have been happy with them. I picked up a set thats RGB aswell to test out. RGB and White look great on them but the Amber is more whiteish orange when the turn signal is on. If you'd like a video showing the lights in action after a year i can shoot one and upload it.

I’ve actually been using these in two different sets of lights for well over a year and they have held up great. For the money I can’t complain. My only gripe with them is if you don’t put the correct side out they’re “dimmer”.
Where’s the follow up video on these strips?....
Any alternate universal choices you have for sale?...
Over a year later and no follow up. I may be looking too much into it, but now I'm going to order some. I mean if I sold tacos at $10, I wouldn't talk about Jack in the box tacos.

I had these kind of strips on my car for about 2 years, they are pretty bright and none of them burnt out... For the moment 😂😂

look at the picture there is an angle on it which is formed from the strip ok there is an angel eye as well. I think thats a joke and not a mistake from the chinese manufacturer.

buyet cruz wait until the time and budget is right for you, and dive in then. In the meantime, you can make a list of things you really want to try, then figure out how much everything should cost 👌
Do they make a product that can make 20ft led strips into sequential?
I bought a $20 tail light bar sequential, brake, reverse, and running light. Only bad thing was that it wasn’t totaly water proof. It wasn’t sealed enough.
It looks ok on my screen, but I been thinking about building my own, on pcbs , building my own circuit boards, and potting them in clear silicone, possibly use aluminum backed
PCB's for the lights it would be possible to put everything on the lighting PCB, bright white and amber, with addressable RGB LEDs, or just RGB LEDs, then figure how to control everything, but for what they are, the price, for a daily ride, something you do not want to put a lot of money in! Not a bad deal, as long as the last,

I used these on my sh$tbox as idc about it and honestly it’s pretty good bang for your buck I did also open up my light and added a cool design with them. If you have a car you love tho I highly suggest litlightz as everyone says you pay what you get and litlightz do look cleaner and nicer.

Have a question for you pickup trucks download the bumper and the tailgate they make a light bar it has turn signals and backup lights have you ever messed with that and what is a good one
Is it possible to take a light like this and wire it to be amber all the time. When a drl to stay amber as well as trun signal?
Do you think that the amber is as bright as some original amber turn signal (audi oem/vw)?
And you think I can only run the amber part of it? Without connecting thr drl?

@@flyryde but it's still brighter then incandescent bulb, right?
@@Marinalin85 probably not dude. Think about it, the glass bulb is still in direct eyeshot of you, and you see the source of the light, which is basically a bright ass ball of fire(ish).
These LED strips contain a bunch of smaller super bright things, aiming sideways through a somewhat see-through white piece of silicone.
I promise your incandescent bulbs don't suck that bad. They just don't look as cool.

What would you advise on Jeep Renegade taillights? I want to internally trace the "X" on the taillights with either electroluminescent wire or an led strip. What do you think would look better and or last longer?
Can we get some neutral lighting? Tough for the viewer to really judge objectively when we can't accurately see the product.

Ok I got a question, so for my mod I want to install sequential lights like this and only want to use the amber for a flasher and not use the white at all, so only amber is on when flashing, otherwise all is off.
Is there a way with either these or can I do with another setup?

I bought these and they will turn on white for the 'DRL' and after about 10 min drive they turn amber....then I will let the car cool down and they will turn back to white

@@flyryde my brother said something about how close the soder is from the factory may be expanding and cooling? IDK much about electrical stuff I just hooked it up using a piggyback fuse into accessory and I left the amber off the circuit...

Hi I've just wired these into my car and they work fine until I run my engine and then the signal won't work any ideas??
daniel maybe your vehicle is chucking out a voltage higher than 12v. A lot of these new smart alternators chuck out 14.8v which these lights won’t like. Try a multimeter and see. If that’s the case, fit a 12v regulator.
I have these. Any idea why mine work with my hazards on but not with my turn signal. Should I try a resistor

I bought 2 sets from diff makers on Amazon and the first set was defective out of the box and the second set had about 8 diodes die in a week. They are ratchet.
These are barely seen on daylight. So much for "DRL". Cheap products indeed

Personally, i think you're wasting effort focussing on those products even though they have come a long way. It seemingly goes against your mantra of what you use and why you use them.
I’m certainly not using these on a paying customer job, but a big part of this channel is educating others on their options. Half the room may feel bad that I’m showing parts they can’t afford, while others may want me to only show them what’s normally outside their reach. I’m not as interested in how these things make people feel, but I do want them to learn and make the best choice for themselves 👌
I’m no elitist. Just because I build high end lights doesn’t mean I have them on my vehicles. The guy that details Ferrari’s probably doesn’t drive home from work in one yknow 😅
I’ll probably throw these things on my wife’s Kia and shoot a follow up video.
