Thank you for this interesting video. Would you know which techno is used as OEM on latest Mercedes? It is mentioned the acrylic one is the most used by car manufacturers, but latest MB are very bright so I was wondering if it was also the case for those ones.

Question - so on the optic you can just cut to whatever length. On the Symphony, how do you adjust length, or do you just hide the excess so you can't see it?

Thanks for the heads up on the Multi-Meter one. I'll check that out, and 100% I think you will fully appreciate the difference once you see it for yourself. Being someone who has installed it already you might already see the benefits of the different types.

Great video. Do any of these kits work with apple carplay? I'd like to use the dash screen in my 2020 Odyssey to control the lights (as I do in my GLC300 mercedes) for the ambient lighting.

The Symphony leds, are the able to be cut to measure, also the speaker kit pack, are they able to be made a smaller ring, as you may know, Bwms don’t have big door speakers, thank you!

Already install the optic version.. Unfortunately, it always lose grip and too big for a narrow space.. And soon i will change it to symphony led.. Still waiting for shipping

Which ambient lighting has the most modes and colours that is able to be coded into an Audi A3 ?
Having just a smartphone app just to change the modes and colours is not good when driving .
I understand the symphony ones are not bendable front to back, but I was wondering if you can use a heat gun to make it more bendable temporarily to get the shape you want easier?
It's very much dependant to do that on how much of a bend it is you need. If it's say a small curve and maybe a difference of about 1cm then you could maybe achieve it. Being that there is enough grip on the trim to hold them in place both sides too. I would highly recommend not using a heat gun to hold them in any ways as it could mean damaging the actual LEDs inside the strip. So whatever you are thinking of doing just be careful and thoughtful before doing the actual installation
I reckon if you gently snip the flat bit of the strips at where the bends will be going inwards or outwards it could possibly bend more back & forth ,
Remember tho if the bend is outwards snip a slight V shape out of the flat part , if its an inwards bend then a couple of normal snips of the flat part of the strips .
A heat gun would possibly help aswel i reckon .
Hello can I please ask if the lights come on when you lock and unlock the car or when the ignition comes on if you were to use the beed kit setup?

I notice on ebay the listing says you can cut it. How is it possible? Wouldn't that damaged the lighting? Are there small groves or indicators to where to cut if it needs to be shorten?
u can cut them anywhere u like, wont matter
Bro, I do installs. I’ve noticed that the fibre optic ones lose a LOT of colour even on slight bends. I’m not sure what’s being done wrong on my part. Or do you use a different tubing to the ones given in the kits

Regarding symphony strips: On startup, does it always do a rainbow sequence before the last previous color?
Let me know if you find a way to make it stop hate seeing a bright raindow before a solid color 👎

If you are looking to do it same as like in the video I recently posted, I would say go for the fiber optic. It will allow you to do the strip all the way across the dash etc. But if you want to do more straight lines then I would say 100% give the acrylic a go.
Been using the led bead for years hands down the best but also the most difficult together with symphony to install since there is not much flex in it
Hi when installing the fibre optic you attach the light to the one end but does the other end need a cap ?
I think it would make sense to use a type of mirror cap at the end of the fibre optic maybe!? , in hind sight it should reflect the light back in the strip keeping the colours strong & solid & no fade or dropout .

Nope it doesn't, the LED bead will just load up as the last saved colour. Hope that helps

Im confised how these install...is it just ONE (1) continuous piece that goroes through the car? Or a central hub that powers multiple strips?
there's a main hub that goes to power and each door panel has a hub that gets power from the power windows and connects wirelessly to the main hub.

Personally I would recommend the symphony or the fibre optic. Both opposite ends of pricing but fibre optic is easier and softer lighting. Symphony is the full wow effect.

one more thing about the symphony version, they are not very flexible as in a curve, if your vehicle has alot of straight lines then its fine, but if not then expect some parts of the strip not to line up to them trim how you wanted them to

ive used the fiber optic and el wire ones... both are not in my satisfactory... the rainbow one is the perfect one... its bright even during daytime... costs a bit more... but worth every money❤

So basically how this work?when u start the car they come on automatically?and then when u switch off the engine they turn off?
I dont want to go on the app everytime I go in the car.
Thats pretty much how they can work, they need to be powered by the car, so you need them to be powered with a part of the car that turns on and off with the engine. So its more down to you and how you wire it vs the lights themselves.
Does anyone know the measurement of the led strip that is for the dash?
They are normally 90cm for the dash.
The led bead kit is a dual end 110cm. But you cut it for each side you need.
And the led symphony is 1x 90cm and 1x 20cm

Sure, you wouldn't want to spill any trade secrets, but could you let me know if these lights are the "industry standard" for ambient lighting companies? Do all companies source from AliExpress, or are there possibly higher-quality products coming from EU countries? I have some serious concerns about the risk of short circuits due to poor and malfunctioning electronics with products from China.
What about EL wire? When an electric current passes through it it glows.
That’s no good as it has a short life span

fiber optic kits suck. it the Fiber optic wire has any obstructions in it, it will look like a glowing crack.

The led bead Symphony is the best one for the w204. I have a video showing the install with the normal LED bead which is good. The Symphony is just a step above
