Good diagnosis and fix Luis its a hard one to make a call like that the mechanic in you wants to fix it and your brain says run a mile when someone does a bad repair like that in the first place GOD ONLY KNOWS WHAT hidden faults lie ahead their are some chancres out there for sure . thanks for sharing keep up the good work.
Enjoyed crazy man,but you have left yourself a bit open to a claim in the future,if something catches fire ,car in a accident,it is not standard, your work is absolutely fine fuse protection etc etc,but you have modified a wiring harnesses, this is my opinion, not ment as a lecture,be very careful,it would have been better to have gotten the correct rad ,fan shroud ,etc, again only my opinion, you are a natural talent that does not need to put yourself at risk in the future, again only my view!i did enjoy the repair,
Good job as always made me wonder if the electric have been tampered with badly what was the workmanship of accident repair work and if safe to be on road. One thing you can be certain now is the electrics good after your works
What about speed 2? Normally these fans have a resistor on the fan shroud (which often fail), I'm thinking on speed 2 it bypasses the resistor for high speed so the feed you took will be for low speed which may be switched off when the PCM requests speed 2. What I'm thinking is if the PCM requests fan speed 2 the fan may actually not be activated
Dont think this one had speed 2... no relay or fuse was fitted, and no wiring for it... Also, the diagrams I found for it, did not show it... Thank you for watching and for your comment!

Good job as always . I have only one question , I see a lot of these home repaired wire looms and similar hack jobs . I always say to myself , the more they screw up the more money I make . But on some occasions I get really discouraged and am reluctant to even start doing any repairs and as a matter of fact I have send clients away . You don't have to answer but do you ever say no ?
Lol I like challenges...😉 But yes... I do say no... Every time I am requested to do for example, what was done on this car... my answer is NO... And believe me... I am asked some times... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Plenty of sources out there... unfortunately they are not all free... Mr Google will help you finding them... Thank you for watching and for your comment!
Hi on my BMW it throws up the same code, I replaced the coolant temperature sensor, the fan works, the temperature reading looks accurate, and wiring doesn’t look damaged, do u have an idea of what it could be?
Mate I m trying to buy a good all around diagnostic equipment but I'm confused what to buy . Do u have any suggestion for me what to buy . By the way I'm mobile mechanic and I work on allsort of cars . Many thanks
You don't know why they sold it like that? Lol, I bet it was listed as couple of simple 5 minute faults, no mention of the crash... Every car on Facebook it's fixable with 2 quid Bluetooth odb scanner and a new aftermarket 02 sensor , so everybody says in comments...lol
Does that sencer tell the ecu when to turn on the fan he is looky he saw the lights flashing and u were able to fix it it's ridiculous how they sold it like that knowing the gasket would blow and cost more than the car is worth
Hello, thank you for this video, but I have a question for you. I would like to know at what temperature the radiator fan of my Opel Crosa 2014 works with the fan running at 102 degrees is this normal or is there a lower fan speed that works at a lower degree because the water boils before the fan works
Just noticed you can see on the bumper a sticker for AC gases, that particular car doesn’t even have an AC system, whoever repaired this really didn’t do a good job of finding correct parts or repairing things correctly.
Ya my friend has one he thinks there opel and a sna in school has a 161 I think it's a Opel Insignia she was told by her mechanic that the factory rims are too big that's what ruined the arms in the back and they have a stupid plastic cover for the spark plugs that looks like a beauty and they use plastic for the sway bars gm cars are shit
Frightening that these cars are out there but guys like you are not on every corner to save us.

06:50, Opel does not monitor the power side of the cooling fans, just between ECU and the relays.
That's correct...

How to figure out wires without a wiring diagram?
Hi
I did have a diagram in the end...
But this was a simple system... with one speed only....

I would push that out on the road a tell them to come collect it,, its scrap. To repair the bodywork alone, would be more than its worth,
Probably agree...
That is however up to the owner to decide...
