I’m sure I’ve watched another video of you doing the same or a very similar diagnosis on exactly the same vehicle. Either way I’m throughly enjoying these videos. Keep them coming.
Awesome video, got one In at the moment with damage ecu as below .... drain holes blocked . But video shows shouldn’t assume anything when doing diag 👍
I've got a Corsa C. The engine stopped randomly while driving. I thought the fuel pump was bad so I bought a new one and replaced it at home. I'm not a mechanic but tought it's an easy job for me anyway. Then the car cranked but it didn't start. After some days I called a break-down service. They towed it to a car service. Next day the mechanic called me and said the car started. I accidentally swapped the two fuel lines connected to the fuel pump...
That is interesting i just looked at the version numbers for my launch idiag latest possible upgrade as its from 2014 and most software is not updated but a few are and opel latest version i could upgrade to is 42.15 j,ust like i paused on your video at 8.04 minutes. They split vauxhall off for more money i can upgrade that opel for 40$ us from CN-Launch i do already got the tech2 and i know older software was unable to comand the fan on a opel astra G and also 9 out of 10 times did not unlock the doors with the 2016 opel software. i used it on the holden astra G year2003. "my idiag is not j2534" its also discontinued from sale since longer only software support only did pay 40$US for toyota upgrade so far from the menu OPEL 42.15 2020-03-11 14:24:15 40.0(USD)
Don't we love Corsa D cars with a rotten ECU, stupid place on scuttle panel , less than 15mm above water drain , muck blocks drain , ECU swimming , bye bye car , not cost effective for customer ECU costs from dealers about £1100 plus vat then it needs to talk , bag of 💩 manufacturers know how many fail , not arsed , green crusties , you and Eric at SMA love them , great video Steve , keep it up
had one of these come in today. Slow to start does crank. Ecu repair done 1 year ago new battery, second hand injectors and fuel filter. Still slow. more so when engine is warm. Faults U2100-00 on different ecu, bcm immoboliser and others. Any ideas??
I have some starting issues with my cosa 1.3 diesel, it starts then dies after one or tow sec, what could it be ? I've replaced the high pressure pump and the pressure regulator.
Corsa have a few common, well documented faults, from corroded ECU to immobiliser issues. The starting point has to be a full system scan and gathering of baseline data to see what's happening. Replacing parts without an evidence based diagnosis is a folly. Highly recommend getting the vehicle to a specialist with appropriate training.
@@SimplyDiagnostics I had it in the workshop, that's where they said I had to change the regulator, but I do not know if there are more of them. does the fuel pump in the tank have a regulator?you mentioned the ECU, shouldn't I have any error codes, like engine light or span light? in my case there is no lights, everything is ok.
I have vauxhall Corsa 1.3 diesel van 2008 crank no start I have had it tested and showing no fault I have changed crank sensor glowplugs new battery new alternator high-pressure fuel pump still crank no start anyone any idea where to look?
@@SimplyDiagnostics Hi mate, can you give me advice if possible? I have problems starting up my vauxhall corsa SXI 2007, got the car started with a jump start but noticed the spanner light stayed on the dashboard, tried to rev the acceleration and wouldn't go past 2000 rpms, so turned off engine, took jump leads off, and tried restarting to no avail, then noticed my my central locking system won't work, managed to lock drivers door with key inserted in lock that kept my boot locked also, however passenger side door won't lock, managed to get it towed to my local garage last night which is not opened until Monday, can you give me an idea what it could be going by those symptoms? Immobiliser?
@@SimplyDiagnostics Yeah, was possibly thinking the same, when I put the jump leads back on, the car started again, however the car spanner light would remain on and couldn't get revs above 2000 rpms, hence I didn't want to drive my car from my mates house to home incase it cut out altogether, so called a recovery truck, never had this problem before until yesterday but on reading this seems to be a common fault with corsa, with possibly an immobiliser problem?
I film live mostly using my phone,I've got a good camera but then we lose the live element which is what I enjoy, I guess that it is what it is for now. All donations greatfully received 👍
Checking the possibilities and zeroing in on the problem. True diagnostics!
Straight to the point Stevo! Very logical way of diagosing electrical issues! Shame Cheshire birds were so loud today 😜
Well done!!!

I did 3 videos on different stages of this diag today, not sure I've seen this car before.
Had loads of these with water damage ECUs due to holding water in the chamber where the ECU lives, drain plugs block up with leaves

Nice to see you back Steve
Bardzo dobra robota 😁👍🍻

Normally on these you would require a BCM software update to prevent it happening again.
@@SimplyDiagnostics Sorry but to prevent what of happening again?
Great video steve. What was that tool you used for schematics
It was Hella HGS diagrams on a farsight tablet👍
Steve what manufacturer is this tablet? Its looks very solid.
I got corsa 1.3 desiel it crunk not stating
Thanks best
what is the brand of your scanner?

Looks like Launch, but blue

We have to be wary of relying on warning lights and trouble codes, there are many unscrupulous folk deleting fault code tables and warning lights.
Would there be any harm in just earthing the relay all the time
Yes, the system isn't designed to be on all the time.

Immobiliser?
You need to think about what changed? My first thought is you spiked something when jump starting.

Immo is normally signified by a flashing spanner light - I'd wait and see what your garage say on Monday, good luck with it.
Wat shell.i do
Recommend recovering it to your nearest specialist.
Birds aren’t as loud as the ladies!
The birds are crazy loud in the garden, it can be deafening when the crows and magpies come as well.
You could do with a new camera or try and sort the auto focus
