i forgot how awesome a smoothie makes me feel! all i did was find fruit around the house and make a smoothie (an apple 2 pears and a lemon, and a bit of water and blended it)
my favourite fruit to make into a smoothie is feijoa's (a feijoa is a typical new zealand fruit and its small and green a bit like a lime and tastes really good and are easy to grow)

i’ve noticed that using thawed frozen fruit gives my smoothies better flavor. when i use frozen fruit as is, the flavor of the fruit is more watered down. i put a container of the fruit/ingredients to thaw in the fridge the night before, so they are ready to go in the am.

I don’t think there isn’t anything that you make that I don’t like. I make almost everything you have made. My hubby’s favorite is the eggs in the muffin tin. Perfect for work in the morning. I ♥️ every smoothie… I find you can add to your recipes and they’re delicious !!! Thank you Dani I’m currently on a weight loss journey right Bc I had to be put on a different thyroid medication Bc mine was taken off the market.. I’ve gained 33 lbs …. 😢

I use unflavored collagen powder in my smoothies. It has lots of protein, but not the weird flavor and texture of protein powders.

They all look great! I have oral allergy syndrome, so I have to avoid some things due to that, such as bananas. I like to make my smoothies more keto friendly like this:
16 oz water
1/2 small frozen avocado
1.5 tbsp cacao powder
2 tbsp protein isolate
1 tbsp non-fortified nutritional yeast
1 tbsp coconut oil
1/2 tbsp psyllium fiber
1/3 tsp reishi mushroom powder
1/2 tsp matcha green tea
pinch of sea salt
12-16 drops of stevia liquid sweetener (sweeten to taste)
That is basically my base and is what I use when I am going all keto. When I want more carbs, then I will add some or all of the following:
1/2 cup wild blueberries (any berries work)
1-2 dates
handful of any nuts
Sometimes I will substitute 1 tbsp collagen for 1 tbsp of the protein isolate
Nice. Thanks. I use chia seeds, collagen powder and flax meal with frozen berries in all my smoothies. It’s my lunch every day after a 17 -18 hr fast. Love it.
Just seeing your comment tonight while I was looking for smoothie recipes. All the ingredients you mentioned in your comment are all ingredients I want in my smoothies too. How much flax and chia seeds do you usually add to your smoothies.
@@SheilaE1953 it’s a little less than an ounce each. I use a high speed blender so it is very smooth. The chia really thickens it. No ice.

Love this! We have smoothies for breakfast at least 4 days per week and I add veggies to all of them. I too am a fan of whey protein powder. It dissolves very well and makes a smooth, creamy textured smoothie. Happy New Year Dani! 🤩

What do you recommend to replace the protein powder. I’m assuming the protein powder adds a little sweetness. I don’t do well with any protein powders. So I would like some ideas to sweeten. And what do recommend instead of protein powder.
Is there some trick to freezing bananas? Yours look wonderful. Whenever I freeze bananas, they turn black! Am I doing something wrong?
You gotta take the peel off before you freeze them and they should be fine.

peanut banana smoothie will also be high in carbs, but thank you for the recipes, looks clean and delicious :)
How do you get the smoothie so green looking? My smoothies are not as green as i see on youtube. I use half keifer and half plant milk and spinach and kale with blueberries, a quarter banana, and strawberries. Should i use water?

The Pumpkin Pie Smoothie is #1 for me.
I really enjoy pumpkin and this smoothie is going to the top of my list.
I do add baby spinach to most of my smoothies, it is a good way for me to add extra veggies.
Question ~ what are your thoughts on spirulina?
Would you mix this powder in a smoothie for yourself?
Pros/cons.....I would appreciate your thoughts on this.
