It is always good to add honey to room temperature or lukewarm liquids. Never into boiling or just boiled liquids. Better let it cool down to room temperature to get all the benefits from honey :)

So helpful, thanks. For the vegetable juice, be sure to add some oil, by adding either nuts, avocado, milk/cream, coconut, etc... because vegetables have oil based vitamins A D E and K that can only be soluble in oil base. Otherwise these vitamins will remain unavailable to the body if taken without an oil base

@Tilly Girl most welcome Tilly. I studied (and practiced) Food Science, Nutrition and Dietetics. If you can have your vegetables as salads it's even better as many green vegetables loose vitamin C just from getting chopped. But it's better juiced vegetables than none at all; I think we can get away with a nice green juice once in a while. Wishing you lots of good health and a full life🥰

Lisa, when we were kids, back in the 60’s my mom at night would sit us in tall children chairs and we wouldn’t go to sleep without drinking a juice mixture that she made by putting in a blender : beets, spinach, celery, water and an apple . My sister is 59, I’m 56 and my brother is 53. We have never had any disease nor we take any medicine . We are so healthy and have a great immune system

The real honey which is raw and unfiltered should never be put in a hot drink, it completely destroys the honey and even becomes poisonous. If you use the heated honey then ok but that's not honey anymore, just a sugary syrup.
Thank you for the recipes 🌷

Thank you! These are great ingredients! I’m wondering though, what boiling and simmering the drinks might take away from the ingredients? I was taught that boiling/simmering has a detrimental effect on certain naturally occurring water soluble vitamins and enzymes.

Thank you, Lisa! This topic is of particularly vital resonance for me! While I certainly need turmeric, it is contraindicated because I take omeprazole for indigestion/acid reflux. Are there any good turmeric substitutes, (in terms of health benefits), that you could recommend?

@Kelly Moore Hi Kelly, Yes stepping down from omeprazole is definitely the right thing to do, but I didn't know that, at the time. It's been two weeks or so now since I quit taking omeprazole and have been taking famotidine and the indigestion is starting to ease up. I thought I needed something to bridge the period of time between coming of the omeprazole and experiencing the positive results from this course of juicing, so am taking the famotidine. But I think the rebound indigestion I experienced was partly a result of taking famotidine with residual omeprazole in my system, so yeah, I'd have done it differently if I could start over again. Thank you.

@dArtagnan712 dArtagnan712 if I were you, I would step down from the omeprazole and just use these ingredients for a whole month and see what happens.

@Magdelina Lee Thank you, Magdelina. Prior to getting your message, I'd tried switching to Famotidine, as it's not contraindicated for use of turmeric. Unfortunately, Famotidine use requires two doses per day and getting the timing figured out has been an issue. Also, didn't realize coming off omeprazole requires step therapy and had, what I believe may have been rebound indigestion. i'd much prefer natural remedies and will try just the juices, as you suggest.

I absolutely 💚 all these drinks., Thankyou so much x.. I have made a couple of these recipes beforehand.. but just a little note on the lemon juice and honey, both are heat sensitive 👼 ( vitamin C fr lemon can get destroyed in high heat + enzymes in the honey can get destroyed in high heat )

Might make a note that no cashews you can buy are “raw”. Cashews have to undergo a two step shell removal process to remove the poisonous outer shell and then the protective coating over the seed (the cashew “nut”) with boiling. Without processing they can be fairly toxic to a large number of people. It would be a good distinction to make so no one takes it literally and buys either bogus or potentially dangerous goods.

No doubt, the only alkaline nuts are walnuts, brazil nuts & coconuts. Almonds in nature are toxic to eat and the almonds people eat are gmo therefore non-alkaline

Thank you for this! I have sciatic nerve pain that goes down the back of both legs from the lower back down to my heels. I take turmeric with black pepper every day and it has given me a new lease on life. Sometimes, when I have to drive a lot, it still gets inflamed. I have been buying Sol-Ti organic turmeric shots that can be expensive. These turmeric drinks you have shown me will be my new go-to for that extra shot that I am having to take when it gets inflamed! I am so glad I watched this video. Hi Tiki,
If you haven't already, consider seeing a chiropractor or osteopath. Exercises, stretches, and anti-inflammatory diets are fantastic, but sometimes it does need some hands-on care. It will take a few treatments, but most patients feel significant relief within the first few sessions.
      Best of luck

@Downshiftology just wondering. Can you prove that drinking vegetables with all their fiber processed or removed works on inflammation? I don’t think any of these would be digested in the large intestine and would all get digested in the small intestine. Would that actually work on inflammation?

Tip for getting your honey off your measuring spoon: Dab your measuring spoon with a bit of olive oil to grease it a bit and the honey will slide off with ease allowing you to get all your honey.
One of my favorite health drinks is great for low iron, achy muscles and period cramps. I take a large glass of raw milk and add 1-3 tablespoons of brewer’s yeast with about a tablespoon of organic unsulphered black strap molasses. It’s an acquired taste. A friend introduced me to this and I now love it! She also told me that women that are giving labor will drink a ton of raw milk to ease labor pains. There is something naturally in raw milk for the calves that help with growing pains
