Why should we be respectful to a multimillionaire who got rich off of our money and is now actively disrespecting us because he’s salty about criticism?
AOTnR isn't disrespectful to Isayama ... but I now trully wish it is. Luckily all of my friends already view AOTnR's ending as canon and Isayam's ending was just a fanfic he wrote while he was high on drug.

You guys clearly never understood Attack On Titan story You guys just don’t understand the character writing in this series. For example, the whole point of Reiner’s character is that, just like Eren was sheltered and confined to his world by force, Reiner was confined by his own world as well. Except not by walls, but by expectations. He never got the chance to stop and think about the Eldian perspective of things, and by the time he realised they were people too, it was too late. Throughout the series, Reiner grew to understand and bridge two societies, which is why it’s no longer about saving Paradis or saving Marley, but rather about saving the world. Which is why the natural culmination and completion of his character is wrestling a worm and sniffing Historia’s handwriting. Wait a second
@@SQS-kt5uy and everytime those fanboys will keep praising Isayama, after all he's the author! It's his story! He can do and say whatever tf he wants! So whatever he says is absolute! Even if he wants to literally destroy his characters and story, we shouldn't raise complaints, because that's disrespectful to the author!
It's even worse because he's saying Eren's own fucking thoughts were fake as well. It's 100% complete shit writing if a character lies to themselves to try and trick the reader
Eren's thoughts weren't fake, rather they were irrelevant to his circumstances. A theme of the show is how we all develop our own narratives to beautify the cruel world we're subjected to, despite the world repeatedly shattering the expectations we extrapolate from our narratives, either killing us in the process or making us pick up all the pieces to form a new narrative. Throughout the show, Eren kept forming his own narratives with superlative conviciton as a protagonist would, only to have them subverted one by one in the most excruciating ways possible. Every time it happened, we saw how Eren broke down and basically wanted to die. By the end, he was just tired and knew he was finally going to die. All he could do was give his friends some narrative to propel them forward without him hopefully, which is a perfect analogy for the friends we lose to war which by contrast couldn't care less about who or why. But the narrative to justify your own needless death always falls short, which is why Eren's friends and the AoT audience will have to do most of the work to reconcile it on his behalf.

@@davidmangara Eren probably pissed off Isayama so much because Isayama wasn't able to make him into a pathetic simp. Eren probably had a will of his own. The power to possibly overthrow the author who wrote him. The only way Isayama could make eren the way he is in 139 is abruptly and with no buildup whatsoever. It's funny because even in the lost girls ova mikasa went into a whole new reality wishing for eren to be with her forever and that bastard is still doing whatever the hell he wants.
Many authors write their characters like this -- seeing them as sentient beings and writing them out based on whatever pops into their head. Storytelling is an art. You control the story. Many ideas will pop into your head -- some of which will conflict with each other. Which ideas you go with has to be decided by you and the story you intend to tell. You control the fate of the characters. You created them -- their personalities, their upbringing, their powers, their world, everything. You are the creator. Act like it.

@@MyReBeLz1 AoT fanboys is not just you bro, there others and I bet that there many of them still in their dreams that think AoT is masterpiece. But glad to hear that you're not one of them.
Eremika shippers don't give a shit about this though, they're satisfied because at the end of the day they got their "well deserved ship". They don't care if character's entire personalities were retconned. They don't. If it fuels their little ship they have and will use Isayama's failures at writing it as proof, and even take scenes OOC to justify it regardless what it was originally intended to represent in their relation (which more than likely wasn't 2-sided romance).
they would literally listen to the very few EM crumbs + chp139 in the manga instead of realizing the errors and inconsistencies in it and they'll throw us bs like "yOu jUsT hAvE bAd rEaDiNg cOmPrEhEnSiOn!!!!!" like sorry i wasn't paying attention to eren and mikasa's so-called romantic relationship?? and it wasn't even romantic in actuality
But they didnt even get that. Mikasa married to jean and she and eren even didn't share a kiss. I dont know how can even that most hardcore EM shippers be satisfied with it.
@@rkssk17 But they have the nerve to get pissy at Jeankasa or Erehisu shippers. Erehisu wasn't even a ship most fans fathomed back in 2015 and would probably consider a crack ship if you brought it up. Now how is it that Erehisu, a ship between the MC and a character that didn't get that much attention until season or 2017 to be exact get so much hype and support and even as far as people theorizing a canon relationship between the two, to the point people theorized that Eren could've possibly been the father of her baby more than what the story was trying to lead to believe was The Farmer? Because Isayama "accidentally" wrote a deep, two-sided relationship between characters that had a lot in common, who didn't have a "motherly" or "sibling-esqe" relationship, but who had genuine interactions between the two, who witnessed and acknowledged each other's strengths and weaknesses without putting each other down, or "lOvInGlY" giving each-other concussions, or telling one another to hold themselves back, who had more care and thought towards each-other mutually and equally than Mikasa and Eren did in 4 entire seasons. Erehisu delivered a more coherent and well-thought out (potential) romantic sub-plot than Eremika did in _11 years, 139 chapters and 4 season._ But don't tell Eremika shippers that, they can't stand critical literary analysis. They'll take their flimsy, shoe-horned romantic sub-plot that didn't have any proper nor natural mutual development and will run with it. And you dare bring up *any* criticism towards the ship, they will use the same goddamn "Eren didn't want her to fight on the side lines, The scarf scene, Isayama said Eren was whiny" over and over until they miraculously think they did something. Ignoring that: > Eren also didn't want _Armin_ to fight on the frontlines as well > For majority of Mikasa's confession he was having a mental breakdown after losing their last parental figure from their childhood > *No, Eren wasn't even remotely as "whiny" as Isayama is trying to convince you he was during the entire series. Not even close to 139 either.*
@@Aickelodeon very much agreed on that bro, you just analyzed their relationship very well that EM's always fail to realize. they'll only bring up the fact that eren cares about mikasa, like no shit he does she's his step sister. it pisses me off how they introduced mikasa and eren as "family" in season 1 and i automatically thought there was no way they'd be into shit like romance and that they only cared each other as sister and brother. like yams if you're gonna make romance the subplot of the show at least write EM's relationship to be romantic as obvious as you can and not make it like a fucking plot twist in the ending like how you twisted things about the truth of the titans. tf.
Most heart breaking thing I’ve ever read in the comments was Guren No Yumiya is now trash, Red Swan is now trash, now not just the fans watching this series but also the people making music for this “love story” were DELUSIONAL and GROSSLY MISTAKEN. Isayama please stop talking.
@cesare sforza Because lyrics of the songs mean jack shit now, and the last volume has such garbage writing, that the message and theme behind every single track and OST is fucking pointless. I did not listen to AoT OSTs a whole month after 139 dropped.
@Fueo In an old guide book. It was written that Mikasa loved Eren as a brother. This is why I quit shipping EM long ago because the author pointed out it was a familial love. And in another interview after ch50 he said that for Eren, Mikasa is like a mother to him. But now he is saying Mikasa *probably* wanted a kiss on chapter 50. In conclusion, Mikasa wants her step bro's meat inside her so bad and Eren wants to enter in his second mother's hole. Its fucked up mentallity.
no no no no no no do NOT involve the other people who worked on the anime production. Especially Hiroyuki Sawano and WIT and MAPPA studio. None of them chose this shit ending.
@cesare sforza Dude, you just admitted it yourself. The fact that she saw him as a "brother" figure even according to the author himself and a "mother-like figure than a romantic one" in another interview, and she kissed him! In the lips! They became canon! Even though they're practically adopted siblings! (I'm sorry for the excessive use of exclamation points!)
The chapter released in 2013 Yams interview in 2015 : For Eren, rather than a lover, Mikasa's presence is more like a mother to him. Eren will start to grow up when becomes independent .. Yams in 2021 : i just couldnt draw that scene because i was too shy (yams retconned himself and EMs are stupid to understand that its so obvious lmao)
Dude went from being potentially one of the greatest writers in history to being a laughing stock. Like he fr created one of the best things ever written; a work of fiction so poetic and thematically resonant that it kinda transcended fiction itself... just to fumble in the end. And to make matters worse he’s gaslighting some of the fans as if he want to make us feel stupid for expecting better.
In my opinion, he pretended to be a serious writer, but almost from the beginning he was bound by a contract to lead the plot and make the ending so that the publisher would gain as much as possible. He deceived many fans that he is independent and only has his own inspiration, while he pulled a lot from: eternal champion, devilman, etc
I think he originally put it all together in a neat, unique way... but I can't lie I was disappointed in hearing that the eldians being isolated from the rest of the world and thinking they were the only humans left idea was "inspired" from an M Night shyamalan movie "the village"
To be fair, he copied and pasted a lot of the elements of his story from other works like Eternal Champions, but for the most part it seems that all the legendary aspects of AoT were accidents.
Implying that Mikasa of all characters were made to from that start to be a Mary Sue is an insult to both her character and all the fans of her around the world
She's an Ackerman, a royal descendant of the Asian clan, Ymir's chosen and has the personality of white noise. The world of AOT bends over backwards for her so yeah she's a Mary Sue. You got it 100 percent right
No because one of the first things we knew about Eren was him stabbing a grown ass man to death and we were supposed to believe that chapter 139 was real Eren?
Chill, this was meant as a joke in an attempt to exemplify how bringing up a single out of context scene from the beginning of the manga doesn't prove much of anything.

Well I'm 2 years late, and I don't really like anything about the ending, or anything after the time skip to be frank, but why does anyone care about what an author says in interviews? who gives a fuck what the author intent is in a story if it still turned out to be an interesting story? Why does anyone hate an author?
The eren mikasa scarf moment in ch 50 was a great character moment for Eren, he rejects Mikasa giving up and trying to comfort him and chooses to try and fight a titan with his bare hands. Can't believe Isayama was actually considering drawing them kiss there, that would have been absolutely ridiculous
@@rei6en dead ass eren had more romantic chemistry with Armin then he did with mikasa but Ishyama gonna have the audacity to say eren loved mikasa the whole time
I find this interview more sad than disappointing because I feel like Isayama is desperately trying to justify why his story ended so badly by mentioning random bits of his creative process early in the game to prove that it was always headed this way. Hey maybe it was-but I doubt it. I think he is in damage control mode and he doesn’t want to move on from this story knowing that a sizeable portion of his fandom really hated his work. I actually think he’s trying to save his status as a great manga writer more than his story. I hate chapter 139, the extra five pages and interviews like this are so irritating to read, and yet I can’t help but feel for this man as he spirals. I honestly think if isayama had written this entire series on his own before it got big or famous we would have gotten a story ten times greater and that’s saying something. But I can’t help forget that this was his first gig and it all too quickly got bigger than his capacity. He sold the soul of his story to the pressures of editors, a magazine and fans and lost his way. My empathy does not excuse the result by any means-the ending was trash, to me. I hope the greatest lesson he takes from all this is to stay true to the stories he wants to tell and fuck the fans or editors or magazine. Cause money is wonderful but an artists reputation and legacy is far more important in my books. Finally, yeah he does kinda suck at writing romances but more so, he didn’t write the kiss because there was no room in the story for romance between Eren and Mikasa going forward. If there was, he would have created more moments like the near kiss but he didn’t. Instead he developed Historia and Erens relationship. So I think he’s lying there to make us believe Eren and Mikasa were always meant to be endgame.
Dont worry. Headless horseman Eren will come and be a mentor in the pathes for Beren, and have dead Mikasa as his wife. Mikasa Dialouge will consist of Erehan, and what do you want for dinner hunny. Lol

So, good for you. King of life, keep looking down at the lost plebs that wish to be you.
Iseyama is still a genius. I think he just sold his soul and did what his editors said for money and didnt put enough effort into making a worthwhile ending and he clearly doesnt care about consistencies anymore. His story for 131 chapters is literally one of the greatest stories ever told he just fumbled like the last 5 chapters fr
To think we once thought Isayama was the Chosen One, turns out he made Rian Johnson and D&D look like actual amazing writers. At least they didn’t render the entire story up to that point meaningless when made crappy finales.
Can't really blame D&D. GRRM wrote GOT. D&D just adapted the first four seasons of GRRM's books then did their own thing when they ran out of material. Isayama fucked up his OWN story.
@@giveandtake8428 100% false that D&D ran out of source material. There were major plotlines and characters in the last two books that were important to the ending but D&D completely cut them out either because they couldn't figure out how to include them in or they couldn't be bothered or both. ASOIAF has such an incredibly rich world so there were so many interesting ways they could've came up with their own perfect conclusion (I've read dozens of fan theories that still make more sense than what happened in the show), instead they just rushed the series to an early death without giving much thought to anything which had been built up earlier in the story. It's like they wanted to get it over and done with.
Just because a writer doesn’t have much confidence in themselves or finds inspiration out of places we wouldn’t expect, it doesn’t make them a bad writer. Sure Isayama doesn’t know how to think about the ending but that’s because of all the criticism he got for it. He went so much of his career not really getting much hate or criticism and now that the ending is out he doesn’t know if he made a mistake and doesn’t know how to feel about all of the hate he is getting.

yep, seems it was all dumb fucking luck lol, I remember he was saying he did not expect attack on titan to become so popular. I guess this is what happens when you literally draw A LUCKY straw
The complexity was fitting perfectly though, Eren’s character development, the twists, the turns, the back story’s relation to the plot, characters, and world building, etc. So this whole complexity thing wasn’t an issue at all infact it was actually an excellent choice taken by Isayama, till 122 Everything was so amazing and in line with the themes and the consistency of the story the issue is at some point after 122 the writing suddenly dropped tremendously. As if someone else was helping Isayama. So the writing didn’t drop the second the complexity and the political setting was introduced. Btw, the conflict between Eldia and Marley has been foreshadowed ever since Season 2, an example is when Ymir was able to read a Marlyen’s language in a cup if am not mistaken and Reiner questioned her as to how she managed to read it, another one is when Reiner and Bertohlt have claimed more than once that they’re going to return to their home town as warriors.

TFW Eremin had more romantically interpreted scenes than legit EM scenes. 139 has Eren and Armin hugging, hands in hair, emotional ass hug. Compare that to the EM hug in 138, nuff said. In the RtS arc, Armin is comforting Eren while they were traveling to Shingashina while Mikasa is third wheeling like usual (for example that one time Eren and Armin talked about their shared dream of the outside world and Mikasa was like “Wtf y’all talkin bout”). In ch 50, Eren is over here looking at Armin trying to protect himself and Jean while Mikasa wants to kiss. Then in either an old ass interview or guidebook, it’s said that the cadets thought Armin and Eren were a bit too close to just be friends (You even got the homie Jean commenting on that). Tl;dr Yams made Eren-Armin’s friendship 100x more romantic, meaningful and powerful than the ship he apparently wanted to have from the beginning on accident
Remember that, when Eren goes berserk or when he can't transform, it was always Armin who makes Eren stop and could. They even shared the same dream, to see the sea together, which Mikasa stated "you guys talking about thing I dont understand again" prior to RtS. Mikasa also always dreamed her own "idealized/headcanon" Eren, but never the "true" Eren himself. And Isayama once also said that in the cadets there are really no girls that could be on par with Eren (though he said unromantically), aside from Reiner and Marco.

You guys clearly never understood Attack On Titan story
You guys just don’t understand the character writing in this series.

Erehisu delivered a more coherent and well-thought out (potential) romantic sub-plot than Eremika did in _11 years, 139 chapters and 4 season._
But don't tell Eremika shippers that, they can't stand critical literary analysis. Ignoring that:
> Eren also didn't want _Armin_ to fight on the frontlines as well
> For majority of Mikasa's confession he was having a mental breakdown after losing their last parental figure from their childhood
> *No, Eren wasn't even remotely as "whiny" as Isayama is trying to convince you he was during the entire series. Not even close to 139 either.*

Isayama is a hack. He is probably going to milk the series with Beren: Next generations. I am done with Isayama or anything he makes.
Dont worry. Headless horseman Eren will come and be a mentor in the pathes for Beren, and have dead Mikasa as his wife. Mikasa Dialouge will consist of Erehan, and what do you want for dinner hunny. Lol
He won't make a sequel, anyone who says he will completely missed the point of those pages.
@Yagami Eren Ha Ha. Sorry, but i dont watch anime anymore. Im to busy working OT at my fulltime Job. Paying off my mortgage while doing my weekly errands with my paid off car.
@Yagami Eren And i bet you have an eighty foot Yacht, a 9000 square foot mansion in Connecticut. Hang out with Conor Mcgregor, The Rock, Logan Paul, and Barack Obama. Donate ten million dollars a month to homeless charity, and have a body physique that would make a 25 year old Arnold Schwarzenegger blush enviously. Lets not mention that Tony Robbins visits you for motivation when hes sad. I bet also, Warren Buffet has you on speed dial, so he can ensure himself that he has another billion dollar quarter.
So, good for you. King of life, keep looking down at the lost plebs that wish to be you.

Iseyama is still a genius. I think he just sold his soul and did what his editors said for money and didnt put enough effort into making a worthwhile ending and he clearly doesnt care about consistencies anymore. His story for 131 chapters is literally one of the greatest stories ever told he just fumbled like the last 5 chapters fr
sold his soul? i think this is one of the rare things that’s actually insanely popular for a reason lol
He dropped it on purpose!!! Don’t follow his next manga. He don’t deserve my time any more.
Rian Johnson is actually a good writer, he just wasn't fit for Star Wars, he wrote and directed Knives Out which was a great film.
@@DG-gx4sg If you say so. I really don't care about Aot anymore.

chief is sick but still has the strength to yell at isayama. major respect, my guy.
I can’t believe this is the same person who wrote the earlier AoT chapters, he has to have had a Ghost writer, ain’t no way bro

At the end young defiant was right, isayama is just a shonen incompetent writer, his story got popular by accident because of the anime so he had to improve his writing cause now all eyes are on him and people are expecting something big that's why he added the complexity to the story and went political he wasn't planning this from the start.
yep, seems it was all dumb fucking luck lol, I remember he was saying he did not expect attack on titan to become so popular. I guess this is what happens when you literally draw A LUCKY straw
the only thing youngdefiant was right about
The complexity was fitting perfectly though, Eren’s character development, the twists, the turns, the back story’s relation to the plot, characters, and world building, etc.
So this whole complexity thing wasn’t an issue at all infact it was actually an excellent choice taken by Isayama, till 122 Everything was so amazing and in line with the themes and the consistency of the story
the issue is at some point after 122 the writing suddenly dropped tremendously.

Personally, Eren being gay or bi is more believable than EM
@@titanblade3706 he did seem gay to me lol cuz he wasn't interested in any girl and that's not natural or usual for teenage boys.
@@titanblade3706 no bc from my pov he has no romantic feelings for Mikasa up until the end but if that was any supposed heterosexual guy with a fairly attractive girl obsessively in love with him and willing to do any thing for him. he would’ve swooped her off her feet within a year or so. that’s like a straight guys dream. but instead he only meets her w constant anger and aggression thru the whole series not to mention showing no apparent romantic feelings. but when it comes down to armin it’s the complete opposite and way different. & yea some close minded ppl may say they’re just bsfs but that’s debatable (whether there was more feelings or not) but it that change the fact that he had a girl who could be considered pretty chasing after him and didn’t care
@@zenldh yeah I know what you’re talking about.
Someone asked about Eren’s taste in women or something and the author said that Eren’s type was Marco and Reiner, no girls were on par with him. Im convince that the protagonist isn’t straight and romance was a last minute thing
Maybe the author himself gets off on sniffing letters if that's the case he should work at the post office he'll get no shortage of letter to sniff there
Isayama-the man who gave me inspiration to write and plan every story I've drafted has never pissed me the fuck *_OFF_* until today.

Every chapter made me go back and analyze things that happened, I kept up with theories, wrote theories drew the most fanart for this series than I ever did for any other series.

He can brainwash people ffs!
And then he goes back to whining?????? Whining is supposed to be a good thing???? I mean you can cry about not having to be alive or not meeting your friends anymore but crying cuz you couldnt get mikasa to love you wtf?????????
His entire character development has been a lie apparently.
especially after he treated her too
I totally believe Isayama is lying. He can't have accidentally wrote such a good and coherent story up until Chapter 136. I think Kodansha may have pressured him. But that being said I now have little to no respect for Isayama as a writer anymore. I know he can't just come out and say it's bad but he doesn't have to say he planned it out and it's good. He just needs to stop talking.
Either way I'm done with Isayama. I will never purchase anything he puts out in the future. I'll be able to watch AOT again after the ANRNOREQUIEM ending is complete. The true ending.
Until ch136? The whole story has been going to shit since ch126 people were just on too much copium and believed he wrote awful chapters on purpose to bait us and deliver some masterpiece at the end lmao
