Listening to Sash's arguments feels like my brain is being microwaved. 8:17 This is what happens when you're lost in your own headcanon, you completely forget the source material. 15:17 Wow, how did I miss this moment? Holy shit. At the end of the day, Sash is just a kid who will reach into oblivion before admitting he's wrong.
A good story is self sufficient, it doesnt need philosophical ideas to be understood. The cryptic ending of aot is imo an easy escape route for Isayama because he wanted to end it to move to onsen pleasures . I dont think Isayama himself would defend his own ending. This cactus guy tried to fight for this shit ending and got smoked. Isayama let him down. Saint pov is solid and nailed on.
Exactly EDs seem to think that deep philosophical ideas and themes make a good ending despite the fact that the plot was utterly nonsensical and characters were ruined
One thing i realized is that the remaining 20% isn’t gonna be mainly made up of random survivors of fallen nations (tho they would make a sizeable chunk) but of surviving nations. Nations that either were rumbled a little bit or not at all due to being far enough away from paradis that they’re spared when Eren reaches 80%. Just one of those nations would stomp the hell out of paradis but a couple with all the eager refugees willing to join carving paradis up 😗
This is the main reason the 80 % plan is trash, and why people who defend this plan are (I'm sorry to say this) morons. For some reason people believe that 20% of the outside world being left alive is now on equal footing with Paradis, which couldn't be further from the truth. 20% of the world is still a HUGE amount of people, but more than that, a HUGE amount of facilities, military bases, research, weaponry, left untouched by the Rumbling, because as you said, 20% of the world left alive means that there are ENTIRE nations that were left standing, and just ONE of those could completely destroy Paradis that has no Titan powers anymore all on their own. This is why I say that Eren was assassinated in 139. Because even putting his tantrum about Mikasa and his laughably bad final talk with Armin aside, the ending still reduces Eren to a complete and utter moron, who seriously just took away Paradis' only true form of defense, left a sizeable amount of people alive who've just seen everything Willy Tybur warned them about come to life, and then just left this shitshow in the hands of his friends and their descendants to solve, which is the complete opposite of who Eren has been potrayed and characterized as for the first 90% of the story.
I've heard a theory about how the 70 years of peace wasn't because the alliance / Armin talk no jutsu but because the rumbling, due to the millions of dead corpses and nature being destroyed tons of plagues and illness would've been born, and the survivors of the rumbling had to deal with that before being able to retaliate by carpet bombing Paradise
@@Justhunk nah that ain't a theory lol, it's shown in the story that the remaining 20% had to deal with MASSIVE waves of refugees and the sudden lack of resources due to the ecological fallout of the rumbling.
Yeah ikr I guess Eren should’ve just chosen to be free from the start that would have solved everything. As long as he’s free in his head the walls and everyone who exists outside that wants to kill him just won’t exist anymore it’s all in his head. Clearly that’s what the story was about
8:17 Did this guy read or watch the series? At the end of vol 22 (end of s3p2) Eren literally says "Those enemies on the other side of here if we kill them all does thar mean we'll be free?"
That line literally made the last episode of season 3 one of the most impactful and emotional episodes of AoT because Eren realized that he wasn't really free at all knowing that Marley was about to bomb his island. What is this dude even saying? Omg ☠️
I think Shash is referring to happiness as "mental freedom" and confused the words. Freedom means acting by one's choice, unrestrained. Like going where you want or staying alive. Armin's happiness was blissfull ignorance, both at the book and at the sea. Like Eren said "there's nothing further from freedom than ignorance". Happiness doesn't directly hinders someone's freedom, it comforts enough to not even fight for it and forget all dangers. Like cattle or pigs surrounded by fences/walls. Someone too happy about a book, ice cream, hot air baloons or the sea will be blind to all threats/dangers to their life. Someone that doesn't even know they're going to be trampled by giants in the future will get their freedom taken away, and won't avoid it due to ignorance. Not knowing about it allows for happiness.
Boy oh boy this is honestly especially at the end of you’re comment is reminding me of WW3 situation impending things that are coming yet most people would rather put there heads in the sand and just believe in blue happiness blissful ignorance which will all get taken away instead of take actions to survive AOT is truly mirroring our reality ESPECIALLY NOW
Bruh said reality is subjective bruh what is wrong with people. By you saying that meaning there's no facts or truth I. This world. Can say anything. The sky is red not blue now etc. Objectivity is reality. Which is, which was, and is to come or happen
Whats truly pathetic is the people who enjoyed the series for damn near a decade and at the very end pretend to wipe their own memories and relentlessly call it trash. Like just admit it was an amazing journey, the ending was shit, The End.
the only way shash is correct, is if the timeline theory comes true, where first timeline eren runs with mikasa, (miksa freedom, manga, eren stops for some dumb , reason to follow armins, (freedom) plan, but this sets up snime which is eren freedom

He brought a high school philosophy essay to an anime debate.

I love that video, Odin shredded Shash like Zeke did to the scouts.
I followed you both, enjoy both your content.
Even most of the ending defenders say that Eren not winning is the point of the story and the story is a tragedy. How is this guy one of the top EDs?
Well he is. ED's most powerful weapons are headcanons. What did you expect?
14:50 that slave analogy has me dying 😂. No disrespect to shash but his response was funny asf
He knew he lost that lmao, he had to keep up appearances tho
16:00 This part of the debate was funny af
Shash thank you for turning yourself into a joke for our sake. We promise we won't let your cringe arguments go to waste.
nah the slavery part threw me for a loop like LMAOOOO Shash was crushed right there and insisted on still going
Based saint. If this is the best ED they got bruh 😭
I want to see Odin debate his ass let’s make it happen!!
The lengths people go to to defend this shit 😆
Yeah aots ending ruined the characters so hard. You can realize isayama knew he messed tf up.
React to brownsmagic’s review.
Also I’m pretty sure isayama wouldn’t even understand half the things this guy said.
Lmao had me dead in the first minute of the takes good lord
This was satisfying.

Sash the type of guy who unironically thinks that Kanye West is right when he said that black people in America got a slave mentality
Eren is stupid (3/10 wits), but that's beside the point.
Easy game
I think the ending is good in concepts (bad exposition), but this guy's arguments and exposition are frankly embarrassing.
