      If I add an espresso shot or even two espresso shots to a latte doesn't that change it to a cappucino? I don't know anything, but I was at the Wawa a few days ago and the order screeen asked me if I wanted to add an extra shot or two for 50 cents or a dollar. I added one shot, because I remember how light the latte is, normally. Way too milky and doesn't taste at all like coffee. Even with one shot, it wasn't so coffee flavored, but still better than without.

    • @TimTamSlam7
      @TimTamSlam7 3 місяці тому

      @@RR-iq8zethe amount of shots doesn’t change the type of drink, no. I’m a barista and the only difference between a latte and the cap is the way the milk is textured. I always double shot my drinks so I can taste the coffee, also consider that the size of your coffee affects how many shots shops will put in. Usually a small is just one shot, the only coffees with a certain amount of shots in them are Luugos and Long Blacks. Some shops will also do a Short Black which is just a long black but with one shot instead

      In most Greek cafeterias cappuccino is served with latte art.
      Which is bizarre because the foam for cappuccino should be so thick that it can not be poured to create latte art.

    • @Grotomode
      @Grotomode 4 роки тому

      @Saxon Wyvern No, they just make a very "wet" cappuccino. Meaning something between a latte and a cappuccino. If they added the coffee afterwards that would be even more "wrong".
      And I know these things are not set in stone, but in this case it just shows how something that looks pretty (latte art) is almost changing the definition of things.

    Ok. I'm italian... Latte, is a cappuccino with a lot of milk, while your Cappuccino, is a cappuccino with a lot of foam xD
    This is a no sense, because is however a damned cappuccino, not Latte, not Cappuccio, not Lattuccio, not Cappatte.... simply cappuccino.
    When you are in Italy, from north to southern part, you can ask a simple cappuccino, with more foam, with double coffee or with little coffee... but it is always a cappuccino

      as far as I know Italy has never grown its coffee .. it has always been maily imported.
      Italy has its own method of making coffee
      isn't that a way of making coffee you like?
      do you consider it among the worst in the world?
      then can I ask you why do you use Italian terms to define it? also getting the terms wrong
