I can not get that ring of protection , which i need so badly, because the Teifs left the grove already, and mole when i met him in the cave told ratted on my and made up lies.
The Ring of Protection bit must've glitched on my first play-through. Mol was stuck for me at a certain point in her dialogue tree and I could never get her to give me the Idol-quest. Seeing what happened now on my second play-through, that made me miss out on a lot of interactions with her that come later in the game - like her speaking up on the party's behalf when you get to Last Light. I did rescue the kid from the Harpies and I did save Arabella from the snake ... but I also got the scene with one of the Tiefling-kids getting threatened by one of the adventurers in the grove (which never triggered on my second play-through, BTW) and I didn't intervene and let the kid get slapped. Possibly it was just the order in which I did things related to the whole Mol-questline in my first play-through - but my guess is that me letting the kid get slapped was what turned her semi hostile, even though I did help out the two other kids. In any case: Another way to take the idol that doesn't involve fast-traveling is after you've picked it up while obscured by fog cloud or something like that, you put it into a backback and then leave the backpack with the idol in it on the ground. Then you leave the area and when you come back, you can simply pick up the backback and walk on out of there and none of the druids will intervene. I gave the idol to Mol and got the ring (which is a pretty amazing item IMO) - but since all the druids around the idol's location were then bummed out and complaining that their circle will be weakened by the loss of the idol, I simply stole the idol back from Mol (quick-save before you try this) and put it back into its place. That actually changed things WRT druid dialogue in the area and made them less doom-and-gloom-y. It's more of a role-playing thing, I guess, since you're about to leave the area for good anyway at this point, but still. I stole it back from her when all the Tieflings were gathered near the entrance to the grove and getting ready to leave for Baldur's Gate. She's a little off to the side from the main path, talking to some of her kids. When you successfully pickpocket it from her, she will tell you that someone stole it from her and that if she ever caught that person, she would recruit them. Other than that, I didn't get any negative consequences from this so far... she still regards me as "family" after this.
You have to get the quest to steal the idol before you do other parts of the grove story. I suggest just getting the quest after you help the kids (there are three times you can help the thief children) and go forward after.
I stole the idol by using an invisibility potion, but the druids started to kill all the Tieflings and I couldn't talk to Mol anymore to get the reward.
If you kill Kahga, she has a necklace only available by looting off her dead body. Also, Findal has a unique item if you loot him before raising him, or kill and loot him in Kahga’s chambers. Neither of these items are all that worth it, but unique nonetheless.
@@elijahgtp You're right. It's a lot better than I first thought. 'is healed' is key language, since it does not need to be a healing spell. It can be from a potion, or even passive healing from Ring of Regeneration, Derivation Cloak, Cap of Curing, etc.
@@hhighmell2916 Findal? You first have to find/help him out in the cave next to the grove (the one with a few meandering goblins in it, and connects to the back of the grove). After that, Findal will hang out in Kagha’s chamber for the rest of Act 1.

Then you will have the option to give him something to undo your agression which will open his trading menu and allow you to buy the ring.

The smugglers ring is reachable simply by going south from the toll house and turning right instead of left to get to where Karlach was.

Corellon’s Grace, purchased from Auntie Ethel. This should be done early before she leaves the Grove.
Silver Pendant, found next to the watchtower just south of the Emerald Grove.
Thank you so much!
You can also get Key of the Ancients if you kill Nettie.
Really great tip with the Idol, just fucked up my playthrough when the druids went rampage...
when you go to the secret door behind the prison, using Astarion (ungrouped) to sneak to the blue tablet on the wall and press it to disarm the bear trap.. then jump to the right side and there will be a buried chest there ... follow down and around keeping stealth on so the wolf trap doesn't see you. disarm it at the bottom and loot the body there for the key to the trapped chest with the barrels. the final trap is the eagle and you will want to disarm it also. if you wait until you finish fighting the goblins to revive Findal, you can pick pocket him first to get the "key of ancients" head piece that unlocks the secret door in the library. once you have all the loot you can revive him, talk to him and let him run away, however if you happen to have Sazza with you, talking to her at the entrance will allow you to leave her behind and she will wait for youto come back and get her. if you talk to Findal with her at your side he will get scared and run off without a conversation. if you take her to battle the goblins she will die .. if you have an animal companion with you when you ask her to wait she will get scared and run off and die.
Thank you!
Can you get the ring of protection after finishing the goblin camp mission and having the party?
Watching this has made me realize that I keep finding these places from the wrong side lol
i found a neckless under the big rock down by the water where halsins bear is move it an there it is (sorry dont not remember what 1 tho)
Is it the guidance necklace? I know it was something relatively minor.
If you steal the idol like that without being noticed, won't there be any consequence for the grove's story ?
Respec into a Druid just before going to Kagha for the reward, as she only gives it to a Druid. 😉
There is any weapon like chain whip in BG3 ?
Mol Ring looks great... Thanks for info.
ok i missed ALL of these except the hat and im 350 hours in the game
you missed the chest on the crossbeam of one of the pillars around the hear tof the grove. Jump down from next to the wagon at the entrance to the grove
Thanks for info.
But I've already covered this in my "Missable chests" video.
omg, I didnt even know you can climb out of the Theifling cove
I can not get that ring of protection , which i need so badly, because the Teifs left the grove already, and mole when i met him in the cave told ratted on my and made up lies.
I didn't get pales ride :( how do u get it
The Ring of Protection bit must've glitched on my first play-through.
I suggest just getting the quest after you help the kids (there are three times you can help the thief children) and go forward after.
damn this game is full of secrets
Coded by Sharrans, obviously.
you actually only get pale oak if you have a druid in the party and talk to kagha with the druid
I stole the idol by using an invisibility potion, but the druids started to kill all the Tieflings and I couldn't talk to Mol anymore to get the reward.
thats why you need to go to camp if breaks the script that starts the battle of grove so its a exploit
You need to get rid of Kagha somehow. There's more than one to do this, so I'll leave the rest to you.
If you kill Kahga, she has a necklace only available by looting off her dead body. Also, Findal has a unique item if you loot him before raising him, or kill and loot him in Kahga’s chambers. Neither of these items are all that worth it, but unique nonetheless.
Necklace is worth it
@@elijahgtp You're right. It's a lot better than I first thought. 'is healed' is key language, since it does not need to be a healing spell. It can be from a potion, or even passive healing from Ring of Regeneration, Derivation Cloak, Cap of Curing, etc.
What if he isn’t there where can I kill him to get the unique
@@hhighmell2916 Findal? You first have to find/help him out in the cave next to the grove (the one with a few meandering goblins in it, and connects to the back of the grove). After that, Findal will hang out in Kagha’s chamber for the rest of Act 1.
@@JasonNCSU2007 what’s the item
You can also get to the tiefling hideout by rescuing the tiefling child from the harpies. And even to get to Karlach is much easier on an other way but that would be a monster of a text zu explain in text.
... I missed all of these.
First one was not removed. I spend hours on top of hours searching everywhere when i go on a quest, and at level 5 I have a total of 3 rings, so I am not ashamed to follow your instructions
If you sneakuo to de dwarf druid before healing you can take a crown that open the doors in the grove
There's a ring, the shapeshifters boon you can get by killing the fake ox in the grove. He follows the caravan so idk if you find it in act 2. It's useful to me in act 1 so I kill it early. 1d6 roll of all checks if you are shapeshifted.
Have they patched the bug that happens if you kill the Strange Ox in Act 1? Because last time I killed the Strange Ox in Act 1 i prevented Dammon fom showing up in Act 2 with the rest of the Tieflings.
yes be warned if you do and your trying to do karlach stuff you can bork her story line
i know up to patch 2 and hotfixes it was not fixed not tryed sense then so dont know if 3 fixed it
on pc it can be fixed sense can do a script thing but unless you really want the ring its better to wait till least act 2
But if you're NOT playing as a shapeshifter, do NOT kill the strange ox, as it reappears later (more than once) and is much more useful!
You can get the ring without killing the Ox, all you need to do is atack him with a single character at the grove, let it kill the character, revive and go back. Then you will have the option to give him something to undo your agression which will open his trading menu and allow you to buy the ring.
@@darcrequiem It is not patched because it aint a bug, Dammon is saved by the Strange Ox in the shadowlands
@ 1:20, featherfall eliminates all thatdamage :)
why in the world did you jump off that cliff to ge the smugglers ring? that was totally unnecessary, you can just walk to it... To be able to get the quest from Mol just go save the kid from the harpies and the kid who tried to steal the idol and they will just let you in to the hideout.
You could steal the idol before the party at camp after saving the Druid halsin. So much easier. Just make sure you do it in turn based mode with some sort of strategy in mind. I used my hard to distract and had fake use minor illusion to distract everyone else my hard didn’t then I used my other wizard hireling to steal it and he used misty step to avoid anybody.
I did this and gave mol the idol but didn't receive the ring.
or you could just cast darkness on it, walk up and take it.
When I stole the idol, goto camp, and leave camp, the druid started to attack the Tieflings. ..
The druids will not attack the tieflings if Kagha was exposed beforehand.
NVM! You just gotta be FAST to get the protection ring done
also you're showing paths to get to places (the smugglers ring for one) that yes, sort of work, but holy god are you busy showing people how to get around their elbow to get to their nose. The smugglers ring is reachable simply by going south from the toll house and turning right instead of left to get to where Karlach was.
I have found that when people make video's of things they have found, the developers go back in and patch the things exposed, out of the game. I am going in and following your instructions. I hope these have not done the same to everything you found.
Thanks.
Mol never gave me the ring.
Would it be because I stole the Idol and gave it to her after the completion of the goblin leaders?
Same
Apparently yo have to do the idol stealing BEFORE you clear the goblin quest, because once you kill all the leaders it auto complete's Mol's quest, whether you had the quest or not.
Great video
Thanks!
wait a sec i saved the grove by killing those shadow druid and spared kagha but she gave me nothing xD time to give her a visit to steal
Best yeet Kagah and get Broodmother's Revenge
you're going waaay too fast showing the locations.
I use the smugglers ring with the gloves of Thievery(not in time stamps) which gives advantage on sleight of hand rolls.
I don’t really pay for anything anymore. Lol
Weird, pretty sure I got all of these, and didn't do it anything like you did, lol. I know I didn't steal anything or kill anyone though. But... thanks for the tips!
How do you move without clicking?
pressing and holding left mouse will make your character follow your cursor
@@timsahkelebek5901 158 hrs on release , 41 hrs in EA and i didn't know this :|
