- snowplow ripped off its mounts and broken hinges, i was trying to hurry up and get this done for them so the video might seem a bit rushed didn't take a whole lot of time to show much detail and explain things.

Man I can’t believe you’re not over a 100,000 subs! I’ve followed you for awhile and I swear you are one of the very best on here!
I appreciate that!
I approve of this message.
I learn something every time I watch your videos. Your ingenuity is amazing. Nice work!
Pretty sure that blade will have plenty of life left after your work on it. Great job
Keep the videos coming enjoy them man!!! You have been on a roll with them...
Your an amazing man with tools Ezra, It's good when a fella can get into a project like that and make it come out as good as you did. And I agree with you, you should have repaired the worn out hole in the top of the pin set, it will eventually wear something else down. Have a great week Ezra.
I was not in the mood for yet another hyped-up, over-edited and over-scripted, UA-cam video.
Same goes for the NFL playoffs (now that the Bills game is over).
But as soon as I saw this video from you...I knew it would be a big breath of UA-cam, fresh air.
I was not disappointed.
Thank you.
BTW...the 'welded nut' thing was cool.

Great job with the repairs Ezra! 😁👍 I like how you sleeved the one hinge point. Looks way better. Take care 🔧🔩
Thanks Zane. Yeah I felt it was a better solution than scabbing in a piece of scrap metal to take up the space.
Love the varied content. Are you a trucker ,mechanic, oh watching you your explaining ATM. Don't put yourself down good honest interesting work being carried out.
That is what friends are for. I hope he bought you your favorite alcohol or several of your favorite steaks. Have good days!
That’s a common failure on V-plows- I’ve made that repair enough times that I’ll never buy a v again. Very nice fabricating work, sir.
I had old Western straight blade plows for 30+ years no problems. My friend had many Boss plows with nothing but problems.
@@grosseileracingteam both are good plows, I prefer boss because of ease of hookup and overall simplicity. V’s in general from any brand are prone to failure at the hinge because it’s pinpointing all the stress.
Great video your a hell of a fabricator.
It is very good to have Ez as a friend! Just ask Jimmy…👅🐾🐾
Great Job Ezra. Job looked like a tough one. You made it look a lot easier than it was.
Great job EZ I’ve come to believe there isn’t any thing you can’t fix!!
Great repair! What a fantastic friend you are! Made for a nice video too!
Your attention to detail on a straight forward approach get it done attitude is unreal.
I though on this job Fixing someone else's non maintained equipment you were going to have to straighten the back bumper also as everything else was twisted and bent ?
Great video
Only thing that was damaged was what I fixed. Probably hit something hidden under the snow
@@Ezrider359 your repair skills are some of the internet best for Down to earth repairs with what you have for resources and your calm attitude on the videos are great
I enjoyed the repair on the snowplow, you fixed it better than brand new, job well done brotha, catch ya on the next one.
Awesome job Ezra stay safe out there 🚛🚛🚛🚛
Thanks so much, I appreciate your videos and I always learn something from you. You are top notch and I am patiently waiting for your next video to expand my education.
Wow! I've had 5 Boss v's. All but the stainless dxt tore at the bottom on the hinge. I've repaired a couple, just bought new ears to do another. They are fixable, but Boss didn't design them heavy enough at the base of the hinge. Still better than anything else out there.
well for one thing boss plows suck and your buddy beat the crap out of that thing. i have a straight blade Fisher that i kindah beat up, wow that plow needs a lot of help. great job Sir. one thing different from that brand to mine is, my cutting edge trips not the whole dang plow frame.
anything owned by Douglas Dynamics sucks including Fisher. Full trip plows regardless of brand suck, trip edge is much better. thats about the only thing that makes Fisher semi usable
Nice clean honest conscientious work.
Nice job sir, love this content.
You're the man Ezra !...it he changes those wear edges he might get a few more seasons outta that.
Thanks for sharing.
Man!! Nice work!!!!
Beautiful job
Nice job Ezra, I think we may see this plow on the channel again some time with the use it gets
You’re to good of a friend! Love the videos. You need another series so in other words start another project haha
Nice repair!
Yes sir nice work 👍
Nice work.
Ezra...Master mechanic. Did he have ya fix the check engine light too??? lol
nice little side job. that things got a few hours on it pushing snow! nice work
If I had to take a guess I'd say 20 year old truck 30 year old plow. Still doing commercial snow removal.
Nice work!
Lack of maintenance on that plow, nice job 👍.
Rough Winter we have had a lot of snow and it's been plowing non stop it's not new and things happen. I wouldn't say this is a maintenance issue probably hit something buried under the snow
Another great how to video
Outstanding
Спасибо за интересное видео.
Great job! Like new.
i see an awful lot of those v plows broken right there. they seem to break the same way. im with you, i couldnt have left that thin sleeve as a hinge piece.
Yeah especially after seeing it in place I knew I couldn't live with it. Sure would have been nice to have a decent lathe and a chunk of solid round stock to just make the right part out of but they needed it right away and that was the closest thing they could find.
I like the "heat and gentle persuasion" part lol
Great content Ezra. I’ve always loved the music here. Is that a music service or is is it one of those “I know a guy “ things. Good call on retainer.
I think everything I used in this video is from the UA-cam music library
wow, nice job
I love these videos. This guys great. Que. did ya disconnect the battery ? Lol.
Yes
Jack of all trades!
O-H-I-O Porter greetings!🇺🇸 I hope you have steel toed shoes around. That assembly looked really worn out & abused. I’m sure they get that bad from time to time though. I’m not very familiar with plows, but I’ve seen a few bad ones & I know you need to keep up on any minor issues before they get really bad. I liked that the broken bolt came out what seemed to be easily. More good stuff! Did you paint any of it or is that something he plans to do? Now I have to go look at a plow to get a better idea of how they’re set up. Interesting!! 🥰😎✌️
Cup of coffees on!! Big job ,, Full steam ahead!! Cheeers! ;-)!! made it look easy ,,lol ,, Gotta lov it!
Always ends up looking easier in video this was about a 3-4 hour project
Men that blade looks reel ruff
It's not new other than the damage that's probably from hitting something buried under the snow and needed a new cutting edge there's nothing wrong with it
rosebud for the win.
Those pickup plows take a beating the only problem is that he used it
Imagine how much it would've cost to have someone else repair it.. wait, don't.
I spent about 3-4 hours on this so multiply that by whatever your local welding shop charges per hour and that will tell you what it would have cost
Nice work! How do you grease the pin?
👍🏼🍻
The boss snow plow was built up the road from me!! They are a big thing
😎👍
👍👍👍👍
That plow is an older bus plow they've since done better with that center pin thing The only lack of maintenance I can see on that blade being as old as this is it just needs a cutting edge so all whoever the owner is isn't keeping an eye on the cutting edge.
When I talked mentioned it he said he already had a new cutting edge for it he was going to put on as soon as they were done with that storm and then the plow broke so he was just waiting to get it back to put them on so it's already handled now.
Nice work fabricating parts when you get the always popular, Ehh just fix it that’s good enough, don’t worry about that. Pride in what you so
It wasn't so much that as they needed it back ASAP. Things typically never break when it's convenient.
😎👌
Just a simple question... when the pin moves in the wallored out hole on top won't that shear off the retaining bolt leading to another bent plow center pin???
Pin would want to fall down not up and the tab would still keep it from doing that. The reason why the pin was up is because the plow had been sheered off of the Mount causing the blade to almost fall off and then it was lifted back kinda into position
Sweat!!!
Ezra, I have a Boss plow with a broken harness hinge eye. Are you by any chance located in Ontario, Canada?
Not only is the cutter bar worn out, it looked like the skid shoes were missing.
No one runs shoes around here. This plow mostly plows paved lots And gravel freezes hard enough after the first storm that your not going to dig it up anyway.
@@Ezrider359 skid shoes left on plows are telltale signs it is A. HomeOwner or B. Rookie plow operator
the skid shoes are the first things that come off plows here. they make great boat anchors, door stops
Like the way you did this job, fix it right the 1st time. A little heat and some genital persuasion, beat the thing to death, you do watch repair?😁 Hey thanks for the video, take care...........................see ya
#5 or #7 heating tip
boss plows come from the factory damaged ... get a fisher !
Lol I don't know what plows are better I plow with a skid steer. It's not exactly a new plow anything will break if you hit something hard enough so I wouldn't say it's all bad
Fisher's come from the factory with factory guaranteed failing powder coat. Fisher/Western also come with the ticking time bomb 'feature' of cracking truck frames especially ShoveItorLeaveIt aka Chevy
Hew buddy
i don't know how you can work with that tiny little hammer...... LOL
Do you think that hole being waller out is what caused that bolt to break off?
I think the plow breaking off of the Mount is what broke the bolt and bent the rod. That top tab and the rod were the only things holding the blade on that bolt is only designed to retain the pin. Not hold the entire plow on.
@Ezrider359 ya. I think you are right. I didn't look at it that way. Good job brother!
What's the life expectancy of the front suspension on a pickup with a plow on it?
Not near as long as without one
"Looks good" 🙅🏼 END COMMUNICATION
🙂🇨🇦
😀
Ez Rider can fix anything.
If your gonna break shit, break the fuck out of it lol....nice work on the repair EZ
That guy is not kind to his equipment , evidently
Snow plowing isn't nice to anything especially when you get multiple storms back to back that are over 2 feet each
Tramp truck. You never put a snow plow on your nicest truck as plows destroy trucks. I never checked to see what any of the codes were but I'm sure if they were anything that actually mattered he would have fixed them. It's actually a pretty nice truck for a 20 year old truck and probably 30 year old plow that does commercial plowing.
