    Hi EZ, I've been insured for a good while, I didn't realize it. Back now enjoying your vids. I'm a75 yr old retired guy, I've got some many yrs in the owner operator deal. Back then I couldn't have a conventional cab because every state had their own bridge laws. They hammered me on the 55' length law. So I had cabovers. My last one was a ken worth with a double sleeper and penthouse . a/c she was a luxury model to me as I ran corn binders before. She was used of course but I redid my interior my self. I also was able to do a six stage paint renew job on it and it was very nice. She had a 12 cylinder Detroit which just had an out of frame major by Ken worth dealershio. Chrome dual stacks done by old owner. Aluminum wheels. Of course I had to polish em but they gleamed. Nut covers and chrome caps. Triple blue paint. I was so happy with her, I could run with the big dogs of the time. Amazing power compared to my previous 318, and 290 cummins. I ran her till I retired. Sold her and my three fruhaulf trailers, one reefer & two flatbeds. I always wanted a conventional pete, but the length law of 55' kept me in a cab over I could pull a 42' reefer and at 55'. I couldn't get any hauls with a 40' set of trailers. I live on the east coast and hauled slot into NYC Philly, Buffalo, Cleveland etc. Then don't I know after I was out of the business they changed the bridge laws I think the feds took over regulation. Then we saw the cab overs dissappear. Its nice to get your vids back, I love them and enjoy watching you work on your stuff. Keep em coming Ezra!!!!

    Awesome catch on the oil filter. It must amaze you the level of incompetence out there servicing equipment. Your expertise and intelligence is something I wish I could find when I bring my stuff in to be fixed. Dream on, right. Take care buddy.

    Hi Ezra how's it going? Well if ya get a big bunch of protesters out in front of your shop, you know Greta was not amused.😁 Good catch on the oil filter, thought it looked goofy when ya pulled it out, yeah it should have come with a new O-ring. Ok thanks for taking the time and doing the video, take care see ya next one.

    I'd be suspect of slightly low trans / charge pressure. Weak Trans pump? Because of additional revving. Could trans filter housing been installed 180° out?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  Рік тому +1

      Converter seems to stall right around the specified rpm I have a mechanical gauge ordered to check the actual pressure. I think its a inaccurate gauge reading still good to service it and that filter most definitely would have eventually caused a major issues if it hadn't been found and addressed

    What's up EZ ?

  • @j.c.smithprojects
    @j.c.smithprojects Рік тому +1

    good way to push filter materials through huh? looks like she was rolling around pretty good. do you think the trans was starved for fluid at some point?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  Рік тому +1

      Definitely not good on the filter. Doesn't seem there was any damage done. As the transmission still functions fine. Without recording I did later pull the valve body off the transmission as that is the next thing in the fluid flow path from the filter it was clean and no filter material. The gauge reading was unchanged by the service so I ordered a mechanical gauge in the specified range to test if it actually has low clutch application pressure or not. If it does I'd suspect the charge pump is getting weak as I checked the pressure regulator valve and inching control while I had the valve body off and the gauge reading is the same no matter what gear position is selected. If it was a leaking piston I would expect to only see low application pressure in one position. I highly suspect I'll find iv been chasing a ghost when I get the mechanical gauge.

      @@Ezrider359 i think your right. i like to confirm when known good gauges before i dig too deep as well. fingers crossed that is the case. regardless it works just fine.

    Hi , did the trans pressure come up with the fluid and filter change?

    • @Ezrider359
      @Ezrider359  Рік тому +1

      Not according to the gauge iv got a mechanical gauge ordered to varify the actual pressure. I highly suspect the gauge to be inaccurate
