Never saw or heard a driver that loves that blinker sign so much
"I don't like drop & hook"
Said no driver ever
The guy is crazy lol
He likes to have the perfect trailer, with the right color accents.
Dude you keep getting yourself into trouble relying on that google maps app. Use the phone, call the customer, if you're not sure about a place park on the side of the road and go investigate. It may not make for enticing UA-cam content but it will possibly make it a bit easier on you.
He won't listen to common sense for some reason
He’s trained to be a Delivery Boy, Not a Truck Driver.
"it may not make for enticing UA-cam content"
You just figured out why he didn't follow that advice.
Naw naw naw that’s all a myth. You must take the harder route, it builds character
This is the "it's so dramatic trucking" show. He can irritate the crap out of me sometimes. Lol
STOP WHINING SO MUCH!!!!!
It's all part of the job!!!!!
Sometimes bitching is good. Helps get the bile out.
@@Commy01Then Alex must be the most stressed out Person in the universe because he bitches and complains non-stop all the time.😂
Your everything a truck driver shouldn’t be. It’s truly fascinating to see you two years later behaving like someone with 2 months of experience still. Actually listen to advice and try to better yourself. I feel so bad for people watching these who are considering getting into driving truck and think this how it is. It’s not… he makes a fool of himself constantly and makes it way harder than it is.
I’m getting into truck driving in these videos lower my confidence in wanting to do it think I might just drive a garbage truck
@@jonathancoleman6482 I think the biggest take away from these videos is that Alex prioritizes making videos over making himself a better driver. This job isn’t that complicated he’s too busy narrating and using his flashers and things to make more noise and make things appear to be necessary and give the viewer the illusion that a whole bunch is going on when In fact nothing is going on. He uses tools to remove seals on trailer that you can easily remove simply by hand in two seconds yet he has to go into side compartment for crap again to give that illusion that this hard job is taking place. He is not a good driver and it really is shame GP allows this poor reflection on there company. He admits to breaking law and visibly commits violations in his videos. Even at one point saying ( good thing that cop didn’t see what I just did) knowingly doing wrong yet still prioritizing his videos over the job. I wouldn’t let this one channel be your determining factor in a career however garbage truck driving decent. Be home everyday and find cool stuff sometimes people don’t want anymore. That choice is yours and yours alone. Just know that guy in his own little world is not a good representation of what GP is as a company especially the drivers.
Alex went from not cursing, to cursing like a truck driver, to swearing like a sailor!👍👍👍
i thinking the same thing.
Jealous?
Right lol; I remember his first semi swear word being something like “jerkhammer”, it sent me 😂
Alex, google maps satellite imagery is often out of date. Take it as advisory info, if you show up and nothing matches, call your customer. It's not worth the frustration and anxiety to bumble around all the time.
True.
I've never heard a driver worry if the trailer they're picking up has side skirts with the same color of their truck😅
Only the drivers that drive nice equipment worry about that. 😅
29:40 Alex, you should really be in the habit of pushing the red button right after you connect to your trailer before you go back and check your tires and lights. Because you need to make sure the air bags go up and the loading support jacks actuate up. I’ve seen so many trailers where the load jacks don’t let go and you have no suspension. Or some times the air bag level rod is bent and the airbags don’t go up.
Alex is the example of how not to be a professional trucker. Lets be real here.
You don't know what you are talking about
@@KeithRowell-ix2qg and you do? Enlighten me!
@@18wheeler77..35 years over the road and 3.8 million miles. I'd say so.
I thumb down this video, Alex did to much whining.
It pisses me off how he doesn’t ask someone like another trucker or get out and walk.
It’s crazy how I see this guy makes these videos and does thing’s intentionally to add drama.
Your a company driver bro. Life is simple.
Some guys call it whining (and you still watch his videos), I don't . I call it letting the stress out and talking to us about what some days are like and how some factory people don't even give out the right directions. Thanks for taking us along a crazy day, hope you get to relax and I love how the numbers on your channel are growing, many are watching and interested. Keep being you. 🥰🌟👊
Agreed. I don't understand the ones who only come on here to complain and talk crap instead of watching creators they actually enjoy.
@@metaluzc THANK YOU!

I enjoy his videos! It reminds me that I’m glad I’m no longer otr lol. 😂
😂 Why don’t you just tell him you love him and you want to get married ? 😂
Dude said I got bolt cutters like he’s gonna destroy the customer’s property 😂
I mean, he said he COULD not that he would.
Glad you pulled that sticker off the tire. I'm sure it would have caused your trailer to slide violently out of control. Good thing you caught it.
😂
Jeepers ,you get yourself in trouble all the time because you don't open your mouth and ask .
My only problem with him is he never call the place he's looking for when lost just keep being dramatic just rookie mistakes or basically common sense
Alex out here learning the important lesson of stop and ask.
😂😂😂
Just a little late, but better late than never!!!
I’ve said it before ol Alex ain’t learned yet
Lol!!!
Is he learning? You could have fooled me
Why didn't you just go in that front door and ask someone!! You throwing a fit.
I think your the only truck driver ever to say “ I hate droop and hooks” lol
Cause he worry about it the skirts of the trailer match his truck lol
Words never spoken by a dry van company driver, "I hate drop-n-hook". Followed closely by "Why cant i just live load". Alex must be from a rich family, cause he dont seem to care about trying to make money
I would imagine he's making as much or more off his UA-cam channel than the trucking company at this point
I understand how hard it can be for a semi driver! There are always times where you get turned around, or you just don't know what to do. Truckers go under a lot of pressure and stress while on the job and they sometimes don't think straight, some people may not realize that, but I do. Just try and keep yourself calm Alex, you're doing great man
Or they can sound horn honk when back up and hello from Rensselaer indiana
Alex depends too much on GPS and electronics also.
@@l.ls.8890 ain't that kinda the point of trucking?
@@silverhawk24 RIGHT!!!
Man you company drivers are crazy, swapping out a completely good tire for something that can easily be patched up is a waste of money. Do not become an owner op with that mentality.
Facts
He just didn’t feel like driving anymore so he used the old repair trick to go on break, what guys don’t realize is those mechanics send pictures to the company, when they figured out you could have ran instead of going in for the unnecessary repairs excuse, the company does get some PAYBACK on you. 😂. It’s better to just use one of the Basic -7, I’m FATIGUED and don’t feel safe to drive right now. NUFF-SAID.
Alex is good at obsessing over every little scuff mark.
After watching this channel for a while, you can see a pattern. This is his sole video content.
He does have almost a million subs…
Making GP look so incompetent. Can’t imagine what the employees thought. Need to figure out where your going after your already made ass of yourself. Long story short. Pre-plan instead of block the driveway playing on your phone.
If GP don’t take note of his actions after seeing this vid they never will. He is becoming a brand liability not a brand ambassador.
Ive never seen somebody worry so much.....and so much wasted time....idk i guess i was taught different lol
Why would you even turn into that office parking lot? 😳🤣👍
As a rookie trucker myself, I learn a lot from your vids 🙌🏾 What is the name of the trailer lock you use? I need to get one myself.
Bro I have been in that situation so good you get out to look a lot be safe brother.
Don’t forget to peel those tire stickers for more traction!!
This was painful to watch. Hope things get better Alex all the best
Peel the sticker off to get more traction? LMAO. if that tire wasnt low or leaking then shoulda ran with it and saved the company several hundred dollars.
I almost spit out my drink. 😂
Next time, just ask first before you move, so you don't gonna waste time again next time 🤔✌️
Next time you need to speak clear English,
"so you don't gonna?? "
Don't worry about Alex fix your own shit first
That was Mead Paper Company when I was a kid. They sold a few times and now the plant has been reconstructed to do cardboard recycling. I’ve driven by there a thousand times, but I’ve never been onto the property. Thanks for the perspective.
Hey Alex, i may sound ignorant here (i am not a semi-truck driver), but are you allowed to just call the company and ask someone where to go? I know we like to figure things out for ourselves when we can, but i'm just asking if you could have also just made the judgement call to just called them on the phone?
Agreed!!
Yes they can, but when you have zero communication skills it’s easier to fuck around for 2 hours.
BINGO!
Lol yea I don’t really understand this Alex dude I’ve been watching for a while now and he’ll go round and round and round trying to just randomly figure it out rather than just calling. He seems like an alright guy but he’s got a long ways to go with backing up also imo lol
He's pride is not letting him to call 😂😂
Amazing the information you can find out by asking questions
"where that spot go?!' lmao smh
Dude, you worry way too much.
Relax.
I feel for you Alex because I was like you when I was young. My worst enemy and made everything harder for myself, but it was never my fault. The sooner you figure it out, the happier you will be.
Why don’t you use trucker path on your phone and a garmin?! Jesus
What is so hard about asking how to get to your pickup?Stop blaming everything and everyone because you can't ask a simple question.
It’s so annoying like why you making it more hard 🤦♂️
It wont be long be for he start wearing the face diaper 😂
Perfect example of not using common sense if unsure where to enter the shipper call the number or ask the other another driver.
He makes trucking seem way more stressful than it really is🤣🤣🤣🤣
he cries to much
truckers go through alot more than you guys think! Try the job out for yourself and see how "EASY" it apparently is

Only thing Google maps is useful for is the satellite view. It can show you where the entrance would, should, be at. If you're not sure DO NOT ENTER...stop on the side of the road, set flashers, and TALK TO SOMEONE. But only IF the satellite view is up to date.
Exactly right, the map for that are might be up to 5 years ago.
Street view can also be good
@@Commy01for sure. Helps show entrance signs, DO NOT ENTER signs 😂, DO NOT PARK signs, etc etc.

Yeah, you don't want to be in the repair shop. You probably couldn't find it.

Why didnt you ask the 2 or 3 people walk in the building for help where to go what to do.
Spray the mechanic on the front of the 5th wheel that auto unhooks with WD40, when it isn’t opening like that it’s a good indicator of rust build/ not enough lubricant

You can easily call the place and find out where to go. Phones has been around for a very long time.
Congrats on 800k subs ❤
Alex? you're seeing what I hate and will jump on shipper's ass on this sort of thing. It happened to me last week in Alabama dude was a complete jerk I got on his case, then he threatened to have MY BOSS FIRE ME? I told him my general manager will laugh at you, which is what Brian did!
Joe Biden said the same thing as you!
Call your dispatcher never go into a place that your not fursure this is exactly what not to do
Are all truck drivers this whiny and complaining lol
YES
No, I resigned myself years ago. Let the chaos wash over you and enjoy the ride.
Yes ....
Hell no
Simple solution is go and ask some one Alex. You still seem to do this on what you think is where to be and not thr actual area for the pick up. Frustration will always win when you dont know where you have to be so why do you still after all this time messa round doing this. This sooon becomes a habit and not one one any one can work out with guess work. Park and walk even if in the wrong place Alex then you will find out . Aissue Bob.
Alex I think it's your time to get out of the truck bro. I'm in the same boat. We reach a point when everything pisses you off and always frustrated. That's the time to look for exit strategy man. It's easy to get stuck in the truck longer than needed to
He said he’s only doing it for 6 years
New drinking game. Take a shot when you hear I don’t understand, I don’t know or even just a whine. You’ll be drunk by the 5 minute mark.
I feel you should be more open to advice and suggestions that this comment section provides, but more than likely you’ll ignore or scroll past them.
indeed!
Just arrogance
You would think the guy telling you to pick up the other trailer would tell you where to go...
That makes too much sense 😂
All he had to do was ask
I don’t know how to drive a semi and I’m sure will never be driving one but I still enjoy watching your videos 😅
I’ve been through that situation more times than I want to remember. Glad I retired after 54 years of driving watching you brings it all back 😢
I usually defend you but you need to get serious about trucking and be on time....
Never going to happen
WTF? You are not defending him?? Geeze hell might have just frozen over too!
Google map the building. It will show you if there are more trailers and if you can fit around there. To the left looks ok.
Once you turned in and pulled over the scales and over the bridge. Realized I've been there a couple of times for drop and hooks
When you confused first thing you do it’s ask someone who works there for instructions and than start drive. You investigating the place using your huge semi and ending up like this.
It's good to see your post again. Was wondering about you.
So cool to see you pick up the trailer in my home town welcome to Tennessee I guess everything is confusing here 😂😂
sometimes it's stress and struggle until you get your payment, all worth it. 😁
"my orders say live load, what dock you want me in? again, live, load, until my dispatcher tells me other wise you load THIS trailor" and refuse to budge
That part right there towards the first is why I could never be a truck driver. Drive 500 miles, to a place you've never seen before, and the people there just assume you know to go in here, not there.
Alex makes a 10 min problem into a 30+ min problem 😂
Seems somebody at GP Transco didn't do post trip inspection on that trailer or dispatch would have advised you beforehand trailer needed tire?
YOOOOOOOOOOO ALEX hope you have a AWSOMMMEEE DAYYYYYY!!!!!! Drive safe!!
I agree with drop and hooks I have had to pick up so many trailers with bad tires, air leaks, no inspection and the list goes on, and All of these things have to be fixed before you can even start to deliver the load , and to top it all off there is no extra pay for this!!!!! Give me a live load any day, I’m done fixing other people’s problems.
google the company and give them a call.....chances are they will tell you how to come in the right way.

Alex, honest question. Do you have like social anxiety or something? Because you had multiple chances to just ask someone for help; like the guy in the black truck, trucker outside before you entered the parking lot, or just call the company to at least ask.
At 12:05 you got the help you needed only after he approached you and talked to you, otherwise it looked like you were gonna walk right past him continuing to bumble around clueless.
