The PCR has been my EDC for years. I had the CGW pro package installed along with the Dawson sights. I also changed out the grips. It just feels like part of my hands and that confidence makes all the difference. I have a 75B and a 97BD. All are great firearms.
I've never fired or carried a 75D. The P01 has been my favorite CCW for years. It probably always will be. We'll find out when I get my Shadow2 compact. I prefer a manual safety. CGW does a good job on their upgrades. I found a private gunsmith that turned mine into a swiss watch.
The PCR looks better, but the P01 is more functional because it has a rail for attachments. I chose the PCR and don’t regret it. You can’t go wrong with either.
That lil pop up button is only there to keep CZ in the California handgun market. All "newer" semi-auto handguns in California are required to have that "pop up when loaded indicator". At least CZ used a small button vs the Springfield Hellcat has big red fin that is nearly ⅓ the length of the slide.
@erik22lax my pleasure. Yet another reason not to live in California. The gun laws here are draconian. We can't even have modern Glocks. My Glock 19 is a Gen3.
I constantly carry my CZ 75 D for CCW.. and its performance is almost flawless. Just change the sights to a nice BRIGHT luminous version of your choice and feel 100% secure in your ability to defend yourself.. SEMPER FI and GOD BLESS YOU ALL. 💖🙏👊🇺🇸🫡😇
@@erik22lax my SP-01 has the cool hand carbon fiber, feels so great! I have the Lok’s thin checkered, bites my hands like crazy, and since then it now just sits in my CZ box with the factory grip. I plan to get a clone of CZC aluminum that is made by walnut wood, coz during the time I was changing the springs, I slammed the hell out of my slide and I sent it to cerekote making it silver top black frame but with the black grips, making it look like a S&W SD9VE lol, I want to make it look like the EMP’s
@@erik22lax the thin ones are very good for small hands. Only thing I don’t like is that there was a little gap, and some people on Amazon pointed that out, but that doesn’t interfere with performance just cosmetic
@@erik22lax yeah I saw many complaints about the LCI popped out on the Facebook page of CZ owners, and that’s definitely a concern lol, guess more a problem than our 3” EMP in general if that popped out! But the frame for real is definitely an art! The range place wanted me perform safety on that when I was renting a P2000, you know Commiefornia, and I have Asian face lol, but anyways, the PCR has a very good feeling, it feels like my SP-01 carbon fiber grips for some reason! I think I will compare P-01/75 compact vs P2000 to determine my final handgun purchase after my last final handgun purchase lol
Next time you go to the range ( pointing down range) practice lowering the hammer to half cock a few times you'll find it's not so scary or difficult. ❤😊

@RecycledSoul I have the 75c with the manual safety but prefer the decocker to carry in my shoulder sling bag.

@kiwikid4688 i had no idea. Thanks 👍

Manually lowering hammer is not unsafe if you know how to do it right and pay attention. I prefer CZ 75 Compact.

Out of the box, I find the trigger on the p01 to be smoother than the PCR.
Who made the new grips you changed too ?
@@markchambers2812 cool hand. Some cheapies off amazon.

@Larry-ds6ib I looked at those carbon fiber grips I'll probably try those next.

Ia there a kit to make the 75d decocker instead of satety? I have the 75c and it has the safety but you have to manually decock it.
@@josechimal1358 only models you can switch from decocker to manual safety are Omega models
By the way which one you like more?
@Larry-ds6ib I want the 75d lower frame with the p01 slide but if I had to choose the p01

@Larry-ds6ib the loaded chamber indicator I would delete that feature
take a look at Tru Glo TFX Pro sights
I have them on my pcr and they are straight garbage. They try to do too much and succeed at nothing
