      most of your time will be spent understanding and playing around with the module. 2 weeks or so you will have it down, for the next year you will be changing up sounds, the second year you will sit into a sound you call yours. Thats my experience lol

    Hey thanks for the great video man! I'm thinking about getting one of these. Is there a way to tweak the L/R panning levels in the module? I wanna get all my sounds panned properly before I send it into the mixer if possible

    • @PeterGoesINya
      @PeterGoesINya  9 місяців тому +2

      Yea that is a basic thing very easy to do. You have to read the manual and get familiar with the module first. Once you do, that is a simple operation. Like I said over and over, the biggest time consuming thing that will take awhile is learning the in's and out's of the module itself and tweaking it. It took me 6 months of trying everything before I settled in on a good feel for the kit.

    • @voborny
      @voborny 9 місяців тому +1

      @@PeterGoesINya that is great news! I've already got somewhat of an idea for where I want to pan each drum sound to but was hesitant in buying the kit because I have very few inputs remaining on my mixer and really can't justify running more than a single stereo master line into the mixer from an e-kit. This solidifies my decision to purchase the kit. Thank you for the information, Peter!

    Most Gibraltar or Yamaha Rack bars are 1.5 or 1 and 1/2 round. I'm curious to know if the clamps that hold the Tom's and cymbals would fit on Gibraltar rack? Also the Tom mounts?Tama and Roland are 10.5mm. How big are the holes on the Tom's that holds the Tom mount? Great video thanks.

    The hi hat is a real pain the ass. I like the way yours responds in the video. I tried the big bird kit hats and there is zero transition between open and closed when slowly coming upon the pedal. I have the hats physically set up correctly. Followed your advice on keeping the sweet part of the hat in the correct orientation. I read somewhere that the module supposedly has a hi hat auto calibration but I can’t find it. I’m getting with double chicks when I step down or no chicks at all. My sticks on rubber makes a louder sound when hitting the hats closed than the module produces. It’s just all fucked up. Boy it would be nice if you could do a video on how you got your hats working so good. I know you said it’s just the plain vanilla big Byrd kit…….but that ain’t working for me. I’m using a Ludwig 3 leg hi hat stand and I did take the bottom felt off. I just bought this strike pro SE and all is working well except the hats are fucked. Lolololo,

    I just bought one of these this week. It's on backorder! So bummed out. Should be here in a couple weeks. I also never understood why people don't like electric or look at it like it's an inferior instrument. It's so odd. Its like saying electric guitar isn't as respectable as acoustic. Takes the same skill yoi just have WAY more options. Also better for jam sessions and gigs because you can get the volume perfectly. Small intimate cafe? No worries! You can play as hard as always; just turn it down. Love electric drums.

      Update. I've used this set since November 2021. After making alterations, from my perspective, this e drum is the closest to an acoustic set (sound, feeling, etc.). I even used brushes on my Strike Pro. The new Pearl nor Roland TD is no match for this set. The hardware is sturdy. I have so many kit possibilities to create down the line. Looking forward to recording with this set soon.

    Is there a way to make a rimshot trigger like on an acoustic snare? As in.. hitting the rim and head at the same time? It's one or the other and this, in my view, will develop bad habits in the long run when transitioning back to an acoustic snare.

      first is just drum sample or drum sample kit , is two different thinks. if is the drum sample kit you just need to remove you memory card in your module in insert in you computer(if you don't have card reader is pretty cheap ti buy. first unzip you file on your computer and put the file in the folder of your memory card in the folder named kits if is a drum kit(it look like this yamaha big kit.skt for exemple.) but if is only wave sample to make your own kit you do the same but the file will go in the folder named samples, if i'm not wrong for this one because i never use wave to make my own set because i'm too lazy and i use drum kit that are ready made for the sample that are in the module. I hope that will help you
