Can this module have SD3 run through it? I'd like to hear this kit with SD3 if possible. If you're on lock down, maybe do a SD3 and SSD5 side by side? There's an idea... You guys make money off videos (not a bad thing). Do a series for most brands of Vdrum AND software. So in this case... Pt1: Alesis strike All demo kits + bonus custom Pt2: Alesis strike SSD5 (Steven slate drums 5). Pt3: Alesis strike SD3 (Superior Drummer 3) There are more software drums out there, so you could easily carry this a few more episodes if they work with the module. I also like the idea of having bonus custom kits you guys make because we all know the demo kits are usually horrid... Show us what say two kits YOU like can be like with stock sounds. All playing, no talking, just some screen text like you do. That's like... a lot of videos... Roland TD-___ , Perl ___, 2box, Alesis and so on.. Thanks for the demos either way.
Great playing, sounds, and demonstration. I'm trying to decide between the Alesis Strike Kit (not pro) and the Roland Td17kvx, and am wondering which more closely emulates the experience of playing an acoustic kit. I've watched all of your Drum-tec Sound Edition demos for both of these modules. They all sound great, but the sounds on the Roland seem fuller and more organic to me, more like I'm in the room with them, whereas the Alesis also sounds great but more processed/EQ'd, which I suspect would make it not sound/feel as close to playing an acoustic kit as the Roland, but might sit better in a mix. What are your thoughts on this matter, as someone who has played both modules/kits? Which one do you feel offers a more acoustic-like sound/responsiveness/fun-factor? And do you think the first snare sound in this video (which I really like and has a great "ring" to it) could also be achieved on the Roland, or something very close to it?
Hi, I personally think, that overall playability & triggering of the Roland modules works better than with the Alesis module (especially hihat triggering & dual zone functionality on pads/cymbals). Is this compatible with the dm10mkii pro module?
No, it´s only compatible with the Strike performance module. Kind regards!
Can anyone help please, what’s the bell sound at 00:52? Can’t find anything like it in the module
Cup chime
i cannot decide wich one to buy ... roland vad306 or this one ? need some opinions .. thanks!!!
Hey Milos, triggering/playabilitzy and build quality of the pads are much better with any Roland kit. Have you checked out the drum-tec Jam NG series as another 100% Roland compatible option, which has a very nice & authentic playing feel:

You can find more info on www.drum-tec.com or get in touch through service@drum-tec.de if you have any further questions! Kind regards
Thank you ! Jam NG looks pretty good but what is a price of that kit?
@@zknedrums Hi Milos, you'll find all info on the website:

Will these work for the strike pro?
Hi, you can get in touch through service@drum-tec.de to make sure. It might be neccessary to updtae a firmware in the module, but I am not sure as I only used the SE version module for the demos. Kind regards!
Does anyone know what's the name of the pair of headphones he's using?
Roland RH-300V :)

Pt1: Alesis strike All demo kits + bonus custom
Pt2: Alesis strike SSD5 (Steven slate drums 5).
Pt3: Alesis strike SD3 (Superior Drummer 3)
There are more software drums out there, so you could easily carry this a few more episodes if they work with the module.
Technically yes, alesis strike support multilayer samples, like SSD5. For more info you should check SIREN-DRUMS chanel
@@Chrisloft Would a td-27 work well, do you know? I assume you still have to run a laptop right?
The drum-tec Jam series with a Roland TD-17 sound module is a cool option with great playing feel & huge flexibility:

How did u guys record the drum´s sound to the computer? do you use any type of audio interface? I´m planning to buy this kit for drums cover soon!
Hey Caio, I am using a Roland octacapture audio/midi interface to run the stereo output of the sound module into a macbook pro with Logic Pro X. Kind regards!
@@drumtecTV Thank you so much, btw you guys are doing a great job, amazing videos!
@@drumtecTV Is there any other cheaper audio interface you recommend that goes with this drum kit and the logic pro?
@@caioescane8569 Hey Caio, depending on how many channels and/or preamps you need, there are many good options around by presonus, focusrite etc. You could get a small two channel interface with USB connection, if you have a computer with enough cpu power & ram. Kind regards!
How hard is it to load this samples to the module?
I just downloaded this and it took me 5 mins to install. I'm pretty much a novice to e drums and it was really easy
@@jonathanbrierley4720 cool, do you save the files to the module or to an SD Card? ... my strike pro SE arrives in three weeks , can’t wait..!
@@dannyalvarezdrums I actually got the other Drum Tec sound edition but the process is the same. You save them to the SD card. You download and get an email with instructions but it's really straightforward. Basically you just connect your module to your laptop, copy the files across and they're instantly there in your module's user kits. Got my Strike Pro SE over xmas and am having a blast. Enjoy!
@@jonathanbrierley4720 cool, thanks for the info, I kind of had an idea but wasn’t sure how you transfer them. Sounds fairly easy. Thanks man Enjoy that sweet Alesis..!
Recorded directly to what
Hi Greg, what do you mean? If you mean the recording chain of the demo video, this would be: direct out (stereo) from the module, fed into an audio interface, connected to a macbook pro running Logic Pro X. Kind regards!

Are these new kits working well on version 1.5? Besides i ould be willing to add one more tom and one more cymbal. If i add those parts than would these sound set could include in your presets
Ojala tocarán mi puerta y me dieran un regalo asi
The biggest weakness with Alesis is their cymbal samples are absolutely atrocious but everything else sounds pretty good
Alex Young that’s your opinion, not everyone’s
Does it work with non-pro version drumkit?
Hey Giovanni, you´ll need the Alesis Strike performance drum module in any case to install the drum-tec sound edition. Kind regards!
I bought the alesis pro SE and didn’t come with those sounds.

His fills sound like he’ has 4 hands
:-D thank you very much Christian!
Should’ve went with drum tech or Roland. Very disappointed with this kit.
Hi, yeah still the new Alesis Strike SE is by far not on par with Roland/drum-tec triggering/playability sadly. But at least it has improved from the previous Strike Pro version I think! Kind regards
I feel for you man. Hopefully you can sell it and get a TD17 or something. Based off the looks and the sound in the module and the sheer size of this kit, I really thought I wanted it for a while. I just had this nagging feeling that it was a bad idea because of Alesis' EXTENSIVE track record of bad quality uh... everything. Glad I waited.
A real nice alternative to the Strike kit would be either the drum-tec Jam Series with a Roland TD-17 module:
www.drum-tec.com/drum-tec-jam-stage-ng-with-roland-td-17-black
Or possibly the ATV aDrums EXS drum-tec Edition kit with a Roland TD-17 module:
www.drum-tec.com/atv-adrums-exs-drum-tec-edition
ua-cam.com/video/oaBtqW8o1pg/v-deo.html
Both offer a much better playing feel, triggering & higher quality components, than the strike. If you need any further assistance at any time, please don´t hesitate to get in touch through service@drum-tec.de! Kind regards
Nice but no 8" tom, no 6 lugs snare, no rubber cymbals... There's still a long way to go.
The cymbals suck, huh? Strike I mean I love the age an fantastic ymbals
Will these sounds work with the alesis multipad?
