Good progress! An impact driver would help. I made the switch a couple years ago and was amazed at how easy it was to drive in/remove screws without stripping the heads.
I set that cordless drill on my boat trailer fender the other day. No idea where it fell off. Bought another one just like it My impact driver is a big, corded one I bought to break free seized nuts and bolts. Too cumbersome for screws, even if I had a chuck for it.
That's my plan to just keep "bumble along". My winter project took me 4 months (instead of 4 weeks) to finish the clutch and front end job on my old Focus but I enjoyed it a lot more then I used to. Good seeing you Eric - keep bumbling!
The first thing you should've done is throw that 1" bit away and bought a 2" quick-change adapter and bit. So I guess you dont have $500.00 for a wood planer........... Last year I paid $800.00 for a Dewalt planer, I went half with my son and it still hurt, it's the 3rd one in 20 years.........
Coming along great
And finally finished.

Great job now you can enjoy your summer not they're eating dinner listening to the birds!
My wife sits out there with her morning coffee admiring the flowers and listening to the birds.

As long as we keep moving, Scott. That's the main thing.
👍👍👍It's looking good you haven't got much more to go looking forward to seeing what your next project is going to be 😎☕☕
I have several "next projects" going on at once. Maybe that's why it takes me so long to get things done.
And so it continues! All done now I hope. You can come work on mine, if done!🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'll put you on the list.

I do have a thickness planer, now that you mention it. Didn't think of using it on deck planking. Next time...
