I really hate when videos are labeled cool thing to make or awesome idea for the shop instead of having a name that involves whatever it is that is being made. Like this should have been called easy homemade vice. Not that it's not cool but when you want to know how to make a vice and do a search for that subject this video isn't in there because it doesn't have anything to do with vice in the label. I'm just saying it might get you more views because of curiosity but when people who are actually interested in whatever your making and want to try and do it themselves it's gonna be hard for them to find your video.
I agree with the "baiting" comment, that's why I skipped to the end. To me, for the typical shop which has at least one bench vise and pipe/bar clamp, I don't see any benefit that this would be bringing to the table. Sorry.
He super glued it then tack welds it together with a stick welder and the super glue is flammable so it burns off. He edits the footage sometimes so you don’t actually see the welding. I’ve never seen anyone use super glue though…🤔 Most people just use a magnet or clamp it in place until they get done welding. He does tack welds because if he actually ran a bead on it, it would warp the hell out of that thin metal and then it wouldn’t work right… Tack welds aren’t as strong but in some situations it wouldn’t matter as long as it’s not structural.
BRAVO

Enjoyed the video but someone needs to buy this guy a chop saw and wire feed welder!!!
good! good idea! nais process! thanks!
wow very good tool, it is very useful and makes work easy 👏👏
Very good, where can I buy the Big bottle Superglue, here in Africa, we only get small glues.
In Ekiti state
Mika stores have them R65.00
What are you using to weld that?
I'd still love to know, it looks like you super glue it then magically the flame welds the metal together. Care to explain how you do that?
