Finally, I’ve been leaving comments on each and every video last 3 years to keep posting educational stuff) Maybe you also want to do in the future video of songs you play with Brandon L, or songs you played/ing at church not just album songs you did, but covers of songs how you would play or played at Bethel for example in your unique style Please please please 🙏 ❤❤❤❤
Love your tone. Great stuff. $339 per course is a tough pill to swallow. Even the 15% discount makes it way out of my price range. Hoping it goes well for you.
Thanks! and thanks for the feedback - I know the courses aren't the typical $97 price point of a lot of average stuff that is on the internet, but the content is definitely a premium product and we are super invested in it and proud of it. There are 30 hours of teaching and instruction, so when you do the math vs getting hour long lessons with any random teacher, it's actually an extremely reasonable price (and you get two instructors) - but again, I understand where you are coming from and appreciate the feedback!
@@DavidHislop I understand. You are paying for expertise for sure. The main difference with a random teacher is that it’s one on one time. That teacher would be working specifically with you to help shape your tone. I certainly think there’s a ton of valuable information that you share. I appreciate the time and effort you guys put in! For a Dad of four who just plays at church on Sundays, it may be a little over my head anyways. Lolol. Seriously great work though. Loved the pedalboard breakdown and I’ll watch everything you put out on here! Best of luck brother.
I love David Hislop’s content! I really wanna buy the tone course, I think there’s a lot of good content and hard work to do it. but is too hard for me to pay all that price (I’m not from USA and I live in an underdeveloped country). Even a single course and 15% off is too much expensive for me living in a country where the dollar is worth six times my currency (and to compare, normal people in my country have a minimum wage of approximately 400 dollars).
Do you have any content on early stuff like how you got started playing, gear you started with, how you practiced. I'm just curious about how you got to where you are today.
We just released our Tone Course www.tonefactor.co/thetonecourse in which we teach everything relating to tone, but I don't have any videos noting how I get started or a walkthrough of my journey. Maybe I should do a youtube video on that...
Well, are you giving your best offer to God? Think about that. It’s not about impressing people,it’s about giving your best to the one who gave it all. Forget about the others. 🙌🏼
Hey David, thanks for the great video! I’m curious about the amps you use-I've noticed that many guitarists are turning to TONEX these days. What’s your take on TONEX amps, and do you have any plans to incorporate them into your setup?
Caught y’all on Friday in Richmond and it sounded incredible 🔥 definitely gonna need an update to the Helix patch soon! I’ve already swapped most of my IRs to the XR Benson and DC30 and it’s been incredible.
In keeping my goal of a smaller pedalboard. I use the Retro Reel effect for that slight modulated fatter tone. By increasing the wow/flutter setting you get that nice modulated tone. I leave it on almost all the time.
Awesome video as always, David! Hope you can dive deeper on your strat and how you manage to play live. Im also using a strat and cant manage to use the 1-3-5 pickup positions as the hum makes it unplayable esp when using a heavier drive.
So i bought the DMC 4 v2… how do you get it to switch between batches? I can literally only get it to run through every channel but i love the way you did a batch
That's for the bundle (30 hours of content). Our individual Tone Courses (Pedalboard & Effects - Guitars, Pickups, & Hardware - Amps & Core Tone) are priced lower and about the cost of buying a pedal and all feature 8-14 hours of instruction. That's cheap vs the cost of paying for hourly lessons with a random teacher. The courses might not be for everyone, but well worth it for those that want further insight and understanding into how we do things. It's content I wish I had when I was starting out playing or even starting my journey to be a full time player. Those are the people we made it for.
