I thought it was just me bro.. I usually don't care who wins or loses in 40K lore but when the Knights charged the city I found myself hoping that they'd tear the traitors a new one.
Most wild titan crew: we must hold back, their defenses are too immence, our void shielding would falter under such fire The god emperors most sane and rational knight: *SLAMS 3 LINES OF COKE* WE RIDE AT DAAAWWWWN BITCHEEES
Just gonna posit my own theory regarding the concealment of Ryza's knights: They were the proverbial "ace in the hole", something they concealed and retained as a last resort, in the unlikely event of the world's titan legions be not enough to hold back an invading force. This explains both why they kept their existence a secret and the timing at which they were unleashed upon the battlefield; if they had been forthcoming with the existence of the knights, the warmaster and his forces would've been able to plan for them and the knights most likely would've been wiped out before they could be used effectively.
Makes you wonder which invading force they were meant for. Were they for the Xenos? Entirely possible. Ryza was set up in the Age of Strife, but they could have stumbled across an STC for such designs, meant for beating back alien invasions or robot assaults in the Dark Age. Were they for the jealous Mechanicum of Mars? We've seen how a well-placed Knight can bring down a Reaver or even a Warlord, if they're positioned correctly; if they knew Mars had Titans, a secret assault by Knights could have crippled them, securing the forge-world's independence, whether against the Adeptus Mechanicus or the Dark Mechanicum they ended up facing. Or perhaps - Omnissiah forgive me for even suggesting it - were these knights to be used against the Emperor? Did they harbour desires of shaking off the yoke of vassalage when the time was right?
I hate when people use this "meme" wrong. You have to give options. Example "Do you want to equip the Titan with a Plasma Cannon or Quake Cannon?" "Yes".

Your videos are my first contact with the lore of the 40K universe. The storytelling is fantastic. Being a noob, the way you present peripheral parts (or tidbits) of the whole story (like chronologically what happens prior or parts which are related) makes it easier for me to understand. Especially the timeline, and helps me absorb the incredibly huge amount of information you present. And the visuals are a great help in my visualization of the lore, and music helps sets the mood. Keep up the excellent work. Your storytelling has immense depth and artistry.
Eric crow Those were just the examples I have because that’s who I like, the scope could certainly be widened to other factions. I just mean a unit type breakdown:)
Hey leutin I've got a video idea that I've been curious about for a while now. The WH40K universe is so vast and is expanding more than ever and it will be impossible for you to document everything. What about a video showing us where to go and explore for more lore to satisfy our hunger more, IE: any books or series' that you recommend or places to find these books and materials. Keep up the amazing content
Same here, brother. An old childhood buddy of mine got me into luetin. He died last year and these video's got me through a rough patch. Thank you Luetin. RIP Mike
"And so the population turned on each other. Brother killed brother." The question is: who stands to gain from this chaos? Answer that and youll know who is instigating it.
Wow, for an entirely fictional world, the concept of the knights charging blindly to their own death out of a sense of loyalty and duty is powerful. I legitimately got a little choked up thinking about it.
I have you Luetin to thank for my reawakening of the love for the world of 40K . I played blood angles as a 12 year old back in the late 90s. I lost my faith in the imperium and left the love for this great story for over 20 years ago. Thank you again for awaking me. For the emperor battle brother! Manchester, UK
Even though I have no interest in the tabletop 40k game and a passing interest in the video games, I look forward to every single post. It's like bedtime stories. Keep'em coming man, you're doing good work.
I've never once played any form of Warhammer. However, I love the lore and how someone like myself can learn about the lore from watching these videos.
I keep coming back to these Titan videos because A) you have such a unique storytelling style and B) I'm always fascinated by these tales of the Machine Gods of War of the Mechanicus
I came across your warhammer videos by pure accident, never played the game or even know a thing about it , but I thinknive watched just about every video you've done now, love an interesting lore
My Favorite part is at 29:32 when the image you used is literally a still from the film Ghosts of Mars, starring Ice Cube. With Ice Cube having Mechanicus robes awkwardly photoshopped onto him lolol
Another lore video from Luetin, another time well spent for me. Thanks for puting all the work, mate. The PC games picked my interest in the lore, but you managed to hook me up.
being a proud member of the Taranis Owner's Club, it makes me extremely happy whenever our house shows up in 40k lore. Especially in the war where we came back from the brink on annihilation
Can you imagine the sheer scale of this battle? Titans, named after the beings capable of rivaling the gods of old, hundreds of meters tall firing weapons capable of obliterating one another as hundreds of millions of mortal men fight to the bitter end. Take a moment to process the concept of millions of men at war as hundreds of titanic metal machines let loose a roar unlike any other as they charge one another...... What a sight that would be to behold.
Makes sense. When your unit is literaly supplementary to Custodes and Space Marines in the defence of Terra, than you're probably "enjoying" the toughest training of elite Guardsmen.
These videos make such nice background for housecleaning. I don't... do the hobby, but they're soothingly narrated and the problems of the 'verse are very distant from those of my own life.
This reminds me somewhat of the siege of Vraks. A battle drawn out to the point that the planet is practically destroyed. I live for these sorts of battles, fighting until the ground you were trying to defend itself is destroyed.
Man I really wish somebody at Games Workship would give this man a consulting job / story arch. Not only is this stuff properly captivating story-wise (as somebody who is big on sci-fi lore (Stargate, Trek, B5, Farscape, etc) but is no expert on 40K), but Luetin has so much knowledge and I feel like there are so many cool stories that could unfold. The bit with the 200 Knights charging at the Titans was just amazing, probably saved the planet by their action. I'd love the idea of maybe Ryza and Mars fighting over an STC / STC-vault, the distrust of Ryza's Independence and how game-changing that would be, plus how Terra would feature in this likewise could be interesting, and likewise presumably some characters who would seek to destroy it as heretical or save it at all costs. Plus whether any Xenos would be involved, I'd love to see the Tau competing hard for it as a means of leapfrogging their capabilities. I'm also curious about how a Tyrannid / Necron invasion could feature in these debates, and then there's also that mystery box in the Emporer's chamber that can potentially be opened as a last ditch. What a total opportunity that is for a blank slate / restart / re-jigging of the 40K Universe.
After this Ryza has become my 2nd favorite Forge World , the 1st being Holy Mars itself of course but I love the secrecy that surrounds Ryza , how long has they had that Knight house ? What glorious machines were used to Exterminate the traitors ? I love it love it all and Love your vids💖

On the note of Feudal worlds effectively being an STC design, it really does feel like they are the best possible governance for a people, removing the poverty of ignorance and empowering the freedom of honour

By the omnissiah! An hour of luetin?!?!

Don't mind me fellas, just making a personal bookmark.
Yeah serioulsy thats the best part
When it’s already midnight, you’re back to work in only six hours and the LoreMaster releases fresh content . . . Looks like sleep’s back OFF the menu boys!
Aaahh when I see a Leutin video, I click then THAT INTRO MUSIC. Still and always will be my favourite 40k lore channel. You are absolutely superb man. Now just as the first time I watched you years ago.
Ryza, the mighty Forge World!
I'm a simple man. I see a Luetin video and I like and comment right away.
Would LOVE to see a video covering some of the less obvious or more creative ways chaos has manifested in 40k
The Omnissiah approves this glorious video!
Thx for your effort you put in your content. I always enjoy 'em.
Blessed be the ones, and the zeros
So good I had to come back for another listen..
Edit: 3 years on, and this is STILL hands down one of my favorite episodes to listen to.
18 months ago I barely knew anything about 40k, in fact I didn't even think it would be something I'd enjoy, then a Luetin09 video popped in as a suggested video. It looked kind of interesting so I gave it a watch. That's where it started. This guy pretty much single-handedly got me into 40k through the quality, detail and passion in each video. Keep up the good work my man!
Last time I was this early I was fighting on Terra against traitors.
Edit: Gonna say thanks for the likes lads.
Was it on a Tuesday or a Friday?
UGNAvalon Pretty sure it was a Monday.

*happy gasmask noises*
I know everything in 40k is depressing, but the idea of being a guardsman facing down a titan... its a simple, but terrifying fate.
@@kaynesylvar8277 still better then a keeper of secrets. I'll take a titan over that any day of the week.
@@kaynesylvar8277 EXCUSE ME??? These aren't just "guardsmen"... this is the death Korp of KRIEG! The guardsman isn't facing down a Titan.
A Titan is facing down a man of Krieg.
fix trench shovels!
i dont know why... but the opening music sounds absolutely perfect for titans.
Still trying to find what the track name is and who made it. Any clues?

Amazing job narrating this, i can not only hear the story, but, feel it. Thank you for your work
In The Grim Darkness Of The Far Future, There Is Only Impracticality.
I high key want to make a regiment of guardsmen that are actually really practical and intelligent and constantly under investigation for heresy on account of their low casualty levels

Luetin09 any chance in ever getting an in depth video on the Age of Strife? I've been binging your videos allot lately and while I was watching the history of man video and you talked briefly about the age of strife and I didn't want it to end, same with the horus hericy part.
Lutins voice always makes me thank of a teacher or lecturer of the 40k world for a more lurn'ed world.
Knights of Tyrannous: Times up guys, let's do this. LEEEEROOOOY JENKINS!!!!

Hey Luetin, just a content idea: Break downs of different unit types like aggressors, intersessors, etc. Also love the long vids!
No. So sick of all the space marine stuff being crammed down our throats by GW. It's a big universe out there than just Space Marines.
There's more interesting stuff than "sPaCe mArinEs"
This would be a fantastic idea for a new series for Luetin, I would absolutely watch that.
Found the primaris fan boy ☝️
Eric crow Those were just the examples I have because that’s who I like, the scope could certainly be widened to other factions. I just mean a unit type breakdown:)
I love Love LOVE when you cover specific moments in the history of 40k. Every video you do is great, but these are my dessert.
Keep up the amazing content
well if you want it for free.. there is lexicanum 40k and 40k wiki.
two rabbit holes where i can spend hours and hours reading stuff.
Same here, brother. An old childhood buddy of mine got me into luetin. He died last year and these video's got me through a rough patch. Thank you Luetin. RIP Mike
When you listen to a segment on chaos subversion and realize that you've been seeing it in the news for years.
"And so the population turned on each other. Brother killed brother." The question is: who stands to gain from this chaos? Answer that and youll know who is instigating it.
SecretNewMeta haven’t they already been kicked out of 103 countries?
SecretNewMeta hopefully we can bump that number up soon
Username I figured after getting booted from 10 you’d fucking shape up but nooo it can’t be their fault
109 and the moon!
I’m
Even though I have no interest in the tabletop 40k game and a passing interest in the video games, I look forward to every single post. It's like bedtime stories. Keep'em coming man, you're doing good work.
Maybe the machine that was unleashed could have been an ordinatus?
I'll save this for tomorrow. It's perfect having these long videos playing while working!
Wow Billy, the Inquisitor lets you have two uploads?!
So early I haven't even seen messages of heresy yet. Is that in itself heresy?
To think the lack of heresy may be heresy is a very Heretical thing to say. I’m gonna contact my local Inquisitor now.
I've never once played any form of Warhammer. However, I love the lore and how someone like myself can learn about the lore from watching these videos.
Same, although in nearly 30 books into the HH
I keep coming back to these Titan videos because A) you have such a unique storytelling style and B) I'm always fascinated by these tales of the Machine Gods of War of the Mechanicus
Thank you Luetin, for your continued work, at such a high standard. I really, thoroughly enjoy your videos.
I came across your warhammer videos by pure accident, never played the game or even know a thing about it , but I thinknive watched just about every video you've done now, love an interesting lore
Work from home is never been this enjoying, thank you mate!
I got into 40k initialy intrigued by Luetin's content , still after I've read novels and novels , the same exitment persists.
Thank you loremaster.
This is a really, really great description of the defence of Ryza.
being a proud member of the Taranis Owner's Club, it makes me extremely happy whenever our house shows up in 40k lore.
Lately I have been re watching all Your titan related videos this one is certainly a good surprise
These videos make such nice background for housecleaning. I don't... do the hobby, but they're soothingly narrated and the problems of the 'verse are very distant from those of my own life.
42:35 I faintly hear it but goose bumps everywhere when I remember when I first heard this from the video "chaos" then I knew chaos indeed was here
Wow great job. You had me hooked with your story telling I can't believe it was an hour. Well done.
I love listening to your videos while painting minis, if I can I’ll find a video to relate to what I’m painting
Gone are the days when Ryza was Risa, where one could seek jamaharon.... sad.
This really is a great one, I must have listened to it 8 times already
I find myself coming back to this video time and time again. So enjoyable to come back and listen about titans and knights after a month or 2.
After this Ryza has become my 2nd favorite Forge World , the 1st being Holy Mars itself of course but I love the secrecy that surrounds Ryza , how long has they had that Knight house ? What glorious machines were used to Exterminate the traitors ? I love it love it all and Love your vids💖
man you can really appreciate all the lore that goes into the Warhammer verse and even more so when its narrated and dissected by someone who really appreciates the work, thanks for making those hours of content worth it to watch!!
On the note of Feudal worlds effectively being an STC design, it really does feel like they are the best possible governance for a people, removing the poverty of ignorance and empowering the freedom of honour
Do more videos like this and I’ll love you forever. This is like a meal of lore and awesomeness
This is one in a select few lore video that put me on the verge of tears.
Stories like these truly make my blood boil with passion, amazing commentary and imagery, truly
Great job again, Luetin!
I like to lose myself in the lore every now and again, and your choice of music, visuals and intonation are really top-notch!
