This game actually looks stellar from the looks of things. Castles. Snowy Villages, looks amazing. This gives me a huge RE4 vibe alongside the whole idea of folklore creatures. Werewolves, witches and all sorts and most importantly. ETHAN HAS A PERSONALITY NOW WOOO

@@aifebriyani919 thier was 3 different versions at the event, even one where you didn't get a gun at all and had to hide from the beast men until they were called away.

I’m actually more impressed than I thought I’d be! It looks great!!! I can’t wait for this game! Resident Evil 8 Village!
You have to admit that by going back to the slower pace and intimacy settings that it really does feel RE. More so than 6 for sure and 5 to a degree. Looks like no cooperative which is good. It needs to be personal and deliberate. Mystery is key as well. This game is truly a bigger step in the right direction from 7, and 7 was back in the path imo. So yeah, perhaps doing the remakes have them a lot of perspective into what makes a RE game.

I am pretty sure the werewolf-like creature we see in the trailer is what's known as a "Pricolici" in Romanian Folklore, a vampire/werewolf fusion. They are undead souls who have risen from the grave to harm the living. I also believe that the women we see standing before Ethan are what are known as "Strigoi". Strigoi in Romanian mythology are troubled spirits that are said to have risen from the grave. They have the abilities to transform into an animal, become invisible, and to gain vitality from the blood of their victims. Which would appear to be what the one in the hat is doing to Ethan's wrist in the trailer. This is all speculation, based upon looking into Romanian folklore, but i'm pretty sure that's what Capcom got a lot of their inspiration from with RE8's enemies and antagonists. It'll be interesting to see how Capcom ties all this with Umbrella, as we clearly see they play a part in this game. Why else would Chris Redfield be involved?

This game looks so freaking dope. It's everything that I was hoping for. And for you newbies who don't know anything about werewolves in the Resident Evil lore then I would like you all to know that werewolves were introduced in the comic books of Resident Evil. Jill Valentine is actually in one of the stories of the comic books investigating a case dealing werewolves.
I hope we get to play as chris in a dlc or main story, so glad Ethan is back too

In my way of seeing things I think this is a perfect direction to the series,not only will it give us a nice resident evil 4 vibe but also enhance rumors and leaks and blow our minds (or disappoint us)
And I even looked into the deeper dive with the two developers and the fact that the inventory is like re4 really helps, obviously this game is very different from the resident evil games we know and love but maybe it won't be so bad to have a broad perspective on it,after all if this is some virus or parasite in the snowy region of what I'm gonna assume is Romania,then that could explain a bit into our werewolf character with fur for the harsh climates
Something else I want to say is that in the trailer with the old man and the shotgun I feel like he had blanks possibly, I wouldn't fully understand if they were actually shotgun shells and Ethan is perfectly fine

Evil, haunting ground feel with a little clock tower or remothered thrown in...this is shaping up to be something interesting and special...almost making up for the fact that they are not redoing code veronica. I think the story goes like this: Chris is looking for Mia because she's a bioterrorist pregnant with a mutant, so Ethan takes her to a remote European village where they find a crazy cult who wants Mia's son

Before it starts it says "his story comes to a close" I dont think it was talking about Ethan, I think it was about chris. The baby might be Ethans baby and that's why he his in the village because it was taken by chris due to being different.

You have to think about the fact that "The connections" and "Blue Umbrella" are still behind all of that. Yes, it goes with the folklore of Transylvania and this kind of stuff, which is absolutly amaazing... but there will be reasons behind these things and nothing will be magic^^.
